- Collection cylinders with circumferential elements extending from puncture carriers to puncture carriers are known both from DE-PS 16 11 330 and from CH-PS 417 646. However, the circumferential elements are not adjusted either with eccentric shafts in either one or the other.

So that this adjustment is always carried out at the same time for each circumferential element group, each eccentric shaft has a pinion which is in engagement with a spur gear which is rotatably mounted centrally to the collecting cylinder (see also DE-PS 20 40 494). By changing the angular position of this spur gear relative to the collecting cylinder, the radial position of the peripheral segments and thus the active diameter of the collecting cylinder are inevitably changed.
