Definitions

  • the invention relates to a convertible seating and reclining furniture for use indoors and outdoors, the elements of which consist of frames connected by joints and which can be brought to one another from the sitting position to the lying position and vice versa by changing the position.
  • the seating and reclining furniture has an at least three-part seating and reclining surface which is formed from the backrest, a seat surface and a leg rest, the back rest being connected to the seat surface via a joint and this in turn being connected to the leg rest via a joint.
  • the adjustment mechanism and structure is complicated, however, comprises a plurality of individual pivot levers and support brackets, which must be pivoted and folded individually, so that the Overall handling has to be described as not very comfortable.
  • the invention has for its object to provide seating and reclining furniture of the type mentioned, which is extremely easy to handle, i.e. which is easy to set up and easy to fold up and can also be extremely easily adjusted between its sitting and lying position.
  • the seating and reclining furniture according to the invention can be set up and folded extremely easily and can also be easily adjusted from its sitting position to its completely flat lying position and vice versa.
  • the seating and reclining furniture consists of a front and rear support 1 and 2, which simultaneously serve as frame support 1 'and 2' and are connected to each other by means of an upper joint 3, and a four-part seating and lying surface 4 in a gentle design example , consisting of a two-part, foldable 7, the backrest being connected to the seat 6 by means of a joint 8 and the seat 6 to the leg rest 7 by means of a joint 9.
  • the backrest is by means of a joint 10 with the rear support 2, which in the exemplary embodiment shown is extended as a frame support 2 'and the seat 6 is fastened by means of a joint 11 to the front support 1, which is extended to the frame support 1'.
  • the legrest 7 is supported in the sitting and lying position by means of a footrest 17 which is fastened with a joint 22 to the front support 1 or 1 'and a further joint 23 to the support 7 at the lower end.
  • the corresponding frame parts are generally formed on both sides of the seating and lying surface 4.
  • the joint 3 connecting the two supports 1 and 2 lies above the lower joint 8, which represents the joint axis between the backrest 5 and the seat 6.
  • the distance a lies between the joints 11 and 3, the distance b between the joints 3 and 10, the distance c between the joints 10 and 8 and the distance d between the joints 8 and 11.
  • the factor n is chosen so that in the lying position there is a reasonable distance between the installation surface 12 and the lying surface 4.
  • the value for a + d is 3 to 5 mm shorter than b + c, i.e. by up to approx. 10% if the usual size dimensions for a + d are, for example, around 50 cm.
  • the ratio of the distances a: b and c: d to the front and rear support, in the illustrated embodiment of the front and rear rack support 1 'or 2' is to be chosen appropriately so that the joint 8 in the sitting position at least the same distance from the footprint 12, as in the lying position.
  • the distance e lies between the joints 23 and 22, the distance f between the joints 22 and 11, the distance g between the joints 11 and 9 and the distance h between the joints 9 and 23.
  • the factor m should be chosen depending on the factor n so that the level lying position can be achieved as easily as possible.
  • a may correspond to the value for c or may be slightly smaller as long as the total sum of a + b is greater than d + c.
  • e, f, g and h The same applies to e, f, g and h.

  • FIGS. 4 to 6 show the seating and reclining furniture according to the invention in three different positions.
  • each a folding lever 13 in a bearing point 14 was attached, with a connecting piece 15, which extends across the width of the furniture, connects both folding levers 13. If this folding lever 13 is folded forward towards the backrest 5, it supports the entire construction in the sitting position.
  • a nose 16 is formed in the backrest 5, on which it can snap into place.
  • the connecting piece 15 is expediently shaped in this way. that it has sufficient distance to the covered backrest 5 both in the sitting position and in the lying position of the furniture.
  • the latter is formed in two parts and can be folded inwards about the joint 21.
  • this is not absolutely necessary, so that the backrest can nevertheless also be formed in one piece, so that the seating and reclining furniture as a whole only has a three-part seating and lying surface 4.
  • different seating positions can be achieved by attaching a plurality of lugs 16 in the backrest 5.
  • the furniture can be adjusted from the sitting to the lying position. This is achieved by connecting the two quadrilaterals via the front support 1 and the seat surface 6 and via the common hinge point 11.
  • the rear U-shaped support 2 which is also formed here in the illustrated embodiment as a furniture support frame support 2 'is bent at its foot end at an angle of 90 ° to a hook part 18.
  • An axis 19 is guided through the hook part 18, on the end of which a wheel 20 is seated, the diameter of which corresponds to the length of the hook part.
  • This hook part 18 serves as a luggage holder in the folded position of the furniture. So z. B. bags or other pieces of luggage can be transported from the parking lot to the bathing area, the wheels 20 allowing easy movement and also easy movement at the stand itself. The wheels could even be removable for transport. Finally, the wheels could also be used in principle.

  • the rear joint support 2 ' is additionally articulated in the lower region between the backrest 5 and the seat surface 6, specifically in the joint 8.
  • the upper end of the joint support bracket 2 ' is here also in a guide 31 via an engaging therein Pin or a roller 41 guided.
  • the guide 31 is not formed here on the frame support 2 'itself, but on the upper also as an armrest 40 support 2 can be formed.
  • a U-bracket 24 which can be supported on corresponding lugs or pins 25 on the frame support 2 '.
  • the support as explained in detail, can be articulated on the frame support 2 'and can be supported in relation to the noses formed on the back of the backrest 5 or else in another place.
  • the lowest pin 25 serves as additional support in the horizontal lying position.
  • the pin or the roller 41 only rests in the horizontal position according to FIG. 14 at the end of the guide 31.
  • the engagement means i. H. for example, the roller 41 approximately in the central region of the guide 31, whereas the roller 41 is placed in the guide 31 at the end opposite the lying position in the folded state.
  • the joints formed on both sides lie flush with one another in a side view, that is to say on a jointly intended axis line, all axes being aligned horizontally and parallel to one another in the exemplary embodiment shown.
  • the individual joints for example joints 9, 11, 8, 10 themselves do not have to be arranged on a horizontal common plane, even if the horizontal lying surface has otherwise been set.
  • the joints can be offset from this horizontal plane.
  • the hinge 8 could lie between the frame parts c and d above the horizontal lying surface 4 when frame sections c and d projecting upwards and projecting beyond the horizontal lying surface 4 are formed on which the hinge 8 comes to lie elevated.
  • Similar cranked support rods which only lead to a slightly changed kinematics without leaving the scope of protection of the application, can also be made, for example, with the frame support supports 1 'and 2' and with supports 1 and 2 as well as other parts of the seating and reclining furniture .
