Definitions
- the present invention relates to a packaging article for consumer goods and foodstuffs, in the form of a stackable folding box made of thin cardboard, and to the production thereof from a plano which is punched out from plates or rolls of cardboard.
- the material used for the production is duplex or triplex cardboard with an intermediate layer, sulfate cardboard, laminated cardboard, such as cardboard with polyethylene layer, cardboard with aluminum foil, paper-coated cardboard, cardboard with glassine insert, food board, Bristol board, or a combination thereof.
- Packaging boxes are made by printing the cardboard, which consists of plates or sheets, or from rolls, on one side with cutting, creasing and perforation lines, then punching or cutting in the form of a plano with perforations and cutouts, and on the Creasing or folding lines are folded by 90 ° and put on, after which the box is ready for use.
- the boxes according to the present invention can be folded and put on by the consumer himself.
- gluing at 4 fixed positions can be advantageous.
- the cardboard can already be printed or glued in the form of the flat Plano with advertising texts.
- the boxes intended here are mainly, but not exclusively, intended for packing pastries.
- the stability is of great importance because, in addition to being suitable for the goods to be packaged, a certain level of stackability and good dimensional stability properties must be required.
- the stiffness of the cardboard determined according to the Kodak method, the bending moment according to the Tabor test, the compression pressure measurement, the stack value and the compression value are important parameters for this.
- the boxes according to the invention have a significantly better stability than the known conventional boxes.
- the present invention is made as a stacked box with an opening front.
- the method for producing the boxes as stated at the outset is characterized in accordance with the invention in that the Plano is printed with the cut, fold and perforation lines and punched out as an almost rectangular part with cutouts, which comes from the bottom (1) with a front flap (2 ) and rear wall (3), and side walls (4), the rear wall (3) forms the connection with the lid (6), which has the lid side edges (7) and a lid front side (5), while on the rear wall (3) and on the lid front side (5) push-in tabs (8) border the side walls (4) lateral perforated joint parts (9) are connected to the flap (2), and these side walls (4) have support lips (10) over approximately half of the edge, and the insertion tongues (8) into small slots (11) in the base (1) or the cover (6) fit.
- the lid side edges (7) only overlap approximately a quarter of the side walls (4) when the plano is folded into the box.
- corner tongues (8) can also be glued against the side edges of the box or the lid instead of sticking them in.
- the flap (2) can be folded so that the hinge parts hold it when it is pulled open.
- the plano is folded into the box by holding the plano with the rear wall (3) towards you, folding the side walls (4) upwards, holding the lid (6) upwards and folding the lid side edges (7) , then the side walls (4) are held in place and the insertion tongues (8) are inserted into the slots (11), the flap (2) is raised and the lid (6) with the front side (5) is pushed over the flap (2) becomes.
- the box is then ready when closed.
- the flap (2) can be provided with a window made of plastic film, so that the contents are visible. However, the contents can also be seen by opening the flap (2).
- the folding lines of the Plano are formed by grooves on the printed side or by counter-grooves on the inside, while the perforation lines allow easy bending in the corners, although they are not absolutely necessary for this.
- Flat products such as pastries, can be easily pushed out of and into the box without causing any damage, and the can remains stable and stackable both when opened and when closed.
- the box is therefore in particular not exclusively suitable for products and articles, with the front opening being preferred, which is primarily desirable for pastries and the like.
- the principle of the structure of the box according to the invention also represents a way out for the distribution of shoes and the like, since many stacked boxes with articles from different exteriors are required.
- Figure 1 shows the plano for the box according to the present invention.
- FIG. 2 shows an isometric view of an embodiment of the box manufactured according to the present invention in the fully opened state.
- Figure 3 shows this box when it is closed, after which it is ready for transport or stacking.
- a good finish is obtained by the design of the lid side edges (7), which partially fall over the side walls (4) when closed.
- Plano Dimensions of the Plano can vary.
- the punching can take place automatically and automatically according to a program.
- the folding and placing of the box, starting from the supplied Plano can also take place automatically and mechanically, however it can also be easily carried out by the consumer by hand, using the instructions for use, so that this can also be done by untrained employees.

Abstract
