Definitions

  • ski boots in particular offer a high level of comfort which have a shaft which is divided into a rear part of the shaft surrounding the rear of the lower leg and a front part of the shaft surrounding the front of the lower leg, the rear part of the shaft pivoting away to the rear leaves (see EP-A-0 144 100).
  • the advantages of this type of ski boots lie in the sufficient freedom of movement when getting in and out, the lack of or only limited pivotability of the front part of the shaft has a disadvantageous effect.
  • This lack of or only limited pivotability of the shaft part to the front is due to the fact that the shaft front part has to be connected to a rigid lower shell of the ski boot surrounding the foot of the wearer in order to give the shaft a sufficient overall rigidity.
  • Adaptability in the swivel position of the entire shaft taking into account the riding habits of the wearer, is therefore not possible with this type of ski boots, which are less designed for sportiness.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of creating a ski boot which is designed both for sportiness and comfort by offering the wearer a high level of comfort while driving and on the other hand when getting in and out, is easy to use and also suitable for all conditions Use of the skis enables.
  • this object is achieved in that the lower shell in the area surrounding the lower leg has a recess which extends from the upper end along a large part of the shaft length and is open towards the rear part of the shaft and to which an exchangeable insert piece on the rear part of the shaft is assigned, the stops of the in Longitudinal flanks of the recess and the insert are formed.
  • a tensioning device is also provided in the ski boot according to the invention, which acts between the lower shell and the back of the shaft and leads to the fact that the back of the shaft can be adjusted to different inclination positions.
  • a tensioning device preferably consists of an actuator and a cable, the actuator being arranged on the lower shell, for example, and the cable establishing the connection between the shaft rear part and the actuator.
  • the actuator can be designed as a conventionally known buckle that is adjustable so that the different lengths of the cable pull resulting from different inclinations of the shaft back part can be compensated for.
  • An actuator which is known from other subject areas and which works on the ratchet principle is particularly advantageous for the present application.
  • Such an actuator can be from a toothed role stand, which is connected to an actuating lever, so that the wearer of the ski boot can activate the roller via the actuating lever and thus tensions the cable, in order to give the rear part of the shaft a certain inclined position.
  • the advantage of such an actuator is that the carrier does not have to worry about the tension length of the cable depending on the inclination of the shaft back and thus any basic adjustment of the actuator, but the actuator only has to be actuated until the stops of the lower shell and the back of the shaft work together sufficiently.
  • the inclination of the back part of the shaft generated by the aforementioned clamping device is predetermined by the stops proposed according to the invention, which are formed by the flanks of the recess running in the longitudinal direction of the shaft and the flanks of the insert also running in the longitudinal direction of the shaft.
  • the lower shell is pulled up relatively far, at least in the area of the rear of the lower leg, so that the recess has a large longitudinal extent.
  • the inside of the shaft back has the insert according to the invention on its inside, so that the insert and the raised parts of the lower shell complement each other.
  • the raised parts of the lower shell surrounding at least the rear of the lower leg are elastically deformable in the area where the recess is penetrated.
  • the shaft back part can in any case be pulled towards the lower shell by means of the tensioning device until the flanks of the recess and the insert piece running in the longitudinal direction of the shaft meet.
  • a lateral evasion of these elastically deformable parts of the lower shell is not possible, in particular due to the overlap from the rear part of the shaft.
  • the insert which is preferably made of the same plastic as the back of the shaft or the other parts of the ski boot, expediently has an arc-shaped curvature corresponding to the back of the shaft with a vertex running in the longitudinal direction of the shaft analogous to the back of the shaft, so that the insert can easily be arranged on the inside of the back of the shaft leaves.
  • This arrangement is preferably carried out via releasable connecting means, for example in the form of projections on one part and recesses on the other part, which are dimensioned such that they are self-retaining in the manner of a push-button connection.
  • the variation in the size of the curve dimension is to be understood in such a way that the curve dimension of an individual insert can either remain constant and this constant changes from insert to insert or that the curve dimension changes along an insert on the insert itself. In the latter case, this will result in the radian measure of an individual insert piece decreasing upwards, so that the insert piece approximately assumes the shape of a wedge in its view.
  • a soft shaft and a strong inclination position of the shaft lead to a stronger arch dimension that decreases upwards along the insert.
  • this manipulation can be carried out particularly easily when the shaft part is pivoted back in accordance with the position provided for getting in and out.
  • different inserts which can be adapted to the driving habits, external conditions and the like, for example, by means of different color design, lettering, numbering and the like, every wearer is given the opportunity to design a ski boot that corresponds to his skiing ability and the respective conditions.
  • the shaft back part with the cooperation of the clamping device and flanks from off saving and insert in different inclination positions can be fixed with the lower shell, a ski boot is created, which combines the comfort advantages of a "rear entry" with the sporty advantages of a sufficiently adjustable shaft in the inclination position.
  • the shaft front part is preferably designed as a sleeve which is pivotably connected to the lower shell via a support part.
  • Such a design of the front part of the shaft makes it possible to relieve the instep area of the foot by merely surrounding the front side of the lower leg of the wearer and thus there is no load-bearing material in the instep area, neither from the front part of the shaft nor from the lower shell.
  • the force is not transmitted to the skis via the instep area, but rather the force is transmitted from the front of the lower leg to the cuff of the front part of the shaft and thus passed on to the lower shell via the rear part of the shaft.
  • there are no painful compressive stresses in the foot but only a tensile stress on the foot and the lower leg of the wearer is initiated by the heel supported on the lower shell.
  • This much more advantageous load can be controlled by arranging the joint between the lower shell and the front or rear part of the shaft, the conditions becoming better the further the joint is moved to the rear in the lower shell.
  • the force can be dosed so well by introduction through the lower leg of the wearer that intersections, especially in soft snow conditions, can be excluded. Since the instep area of the ski boot no longer has to perform any load-bearing functions, it is sufficient if the ski boot has a completely flexible cover in this area, for example in the form of an elastic, water-impermeable and sufficiently resistant film.
  • the subdivision of the front part of the shaft into a cuff and into a supporting part which is articulated to the lower shell also creates the possibility of arranging the cuff by adjusting the height of the supporting part in relation to the supporting part.
  • This adjustable arrangement creates another possibility of providing the wearer with the ski boots suitable for his skiing habits and the respective external conditions.
  • the leverage ratios and thus the force used can be varied.
  • elastic film in the instep area of the ski boot a sufficient cover is created which automatically adapts to the height of the cuff and the inclination of the supporting part.
  • locking means are preferably provided, optionally connected to a joint for pivoting between the cuff and the support part.
  • Such locking means can consist, for example, of easy-to-use screw connections, such as wing nuts and the like, which are arranged on one part and interact in a suitable manner with the other part.
  • an adjustable connecting device is provided for connecting the front part of the shaft and the back part of the shaft.
  • a connecting device can be designed as a known buckle connection, which allows fixation in different positions, so that the inside width of the shaft can be varied.
  • a heel pull acts on the instep area of the foot from the wearer in such a way that on the one hand it leads to a sufficient hold, but on the other hand it still ensures the above-described, metered use of force by means of the front part of the shaft.
  • a heel pull is suitably mounted on the lower shell, a pulling part being able to be tensioned in different positions, for example by a buckle known per se.
  • the ski boot shown in FIG. 1 essentially consists of a lower shell 1, a rear shaft part 2 and a front shaft part 3.
  • the rear shaft part 2 and front shaft part 3 are pivotally connected to the lower shell 1 via a joint 4.
  • the lower shell 1, the back part 2 of the shaft and the front part 3 of the shaft surround an inner shoe 5.
  • This inner shoe 5 is covered in the instep area by a film 6, which in turn is connected to the front part of the shaft and the lower shell 1.
  • the lower shell 1 is pulled up relatively far and partially surrounds the back of the lower leg from the wearer.
  • the wall thickness of these parts advantageously decreases slightly towards the top, so that these parts are relatively elastically deformable. That area of the lower shell which partially projects into the instep area of the foot from the wearer is also relatively easily deformable. Thanks to the overlap and the small wall thickness, there is no impediment to freedom of movement for the wearer in the instep area.
  • the lower shell 1 has a recess 7 which extends from the upper end to almost the bottom and which is open towards the rear part 2 of the shaft.
  • the inside of the shaft back part 2 has an insert 8 which, when the shaft back part 2 is pivoted in, supplements the lower shell 1 by filling the recess 7 in its rear circumference. In this position, the flanks 7a of the recess 7 which run in the longitudinal direction of the shaft and the flanks 8a of the insert 8 which run in the same direction cooperate, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 3.
  • the insert 8 is releasably connected to the shaft back part 2 via connecting means 9.
  • These connecting means can be designed, for example, as projections on the insert 8, which cooperate with corresponding recesses in the shaft rear part 2 in the manner of a push button.
  • a tensioning device consisting of a cable 10 and, for example, an actuator 11 operating according to the ratchet principle, is provided for generating the inclined position of the shaft back part 2.
  • the cable 10 is attached on the one hand to the shaft back part 2 and on the other hand interacts with the actuator 11, which has a roller 11a and an actuating lever 11b.
  • the roller 11a can be activated by means of the actuating lever 11b, so that the cable pull 10 is always sufficiently tensioned, depending on the inclination position of the shaft back part 2 selected by the choice of the insert pieces 8, and secures the shaft back part 2 against pivoting out.
  • the front shaft part 3 is connected to the rear shaft part 2 by means of a connecting device 12 in the form of a known buckle.
  • the connecting device 12 can, for example, be arranged on the shaft front part 3 and loosely wrap around the shaft rear part 2. If it is an adjustable connecting device 12, the clear width between the front shaft part 3 and the rear shaft part 2 can be varied.
  • the shaft front part 3 also consists of a support part 13 and a sleeve 14, the connecting device 12 being fastened to the support part 13 via a joint 16.
  • the pivotably fastened sleeve 14 can be moved along the supporting part 13 and fixed at the desired location.
  • a locking means 15 is provided, which ensures on the one hand the pivotability of the sleeve 14 and on the other hand the fixing to the support part 13, for example via a slot 13a.
  • the film 6 is preferably of elastic design. As a result, the film can compensate for different heights of the sleeve 14 and different inclinations of the supporting part 13, a suitable fastening of the film 6 on these parts being required.
  • the tension member 17 can be a flexible band, which acts with the interposition of inner shoe 5 and elastically deformable areas of the lower shell 1 on the instep area from the foot of the wearer and thus ensures the hold in the lower shell 1.
  • the buckle 18, which works according to known principles, is provided, the base of which is preferably adjustable for bridging differences in length of the tension member 17.
  • the insert 8 which can be seen in detail in FIGS. 4 and 5 has a radian measure B which is constant in size.
  • the recess 7 is completely filled, so that between the flanks 8a of the insert 8 and the flanks 7b of the recess 7 there is practically no free space which allows the shaft to be inclined. This creates a ski boot, the shaft of which has a high degree of rigidity.
  • the insert 19 that can be seen in FIGS. 6 and 7, on the other hand, has a variable arc size C, the size of which decreases toward the upper end.
  • the shaft can be given a strong inclination position, and a relatively soft shaft of the ski boot is also created.
  • the wall thickness of the inserts 8, 19 preferably also decreases towards the upper end. This creates a complete complement to the recess in the lower shell without deviations in the wall thicknesses, which can lead to disturbing transitions and thus unevenness on the inside of the ski ice.
