Abstract

The invention relates to a frame for a glazed bay, each glazed element of which opens up like a box, into two glazed parts of similar size, enabling numerous elements traditionally placed on the outside (blinds, curtains, security equipment, heating etc.) to be incorporated into the hollow space between the two glass panels. This invention relates to windows having parietodynamic insulation by air circulation, having one or more ventilated air jets, which thus have a high degree of thermal insulation. These windows may have the two parts made from identical or different materials. These windows may be supplied with electricity, which enables electrical equipment to be incorporated. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a carpentry in which each glazed element opens like a box, into two glazed parts of similar importance, making it possible to incorporate into the hollow space between the two glazings, numerous elements traditionally placed outside. In addition, this space between the two glazed parts is ventilated. This invention relates particularly to windows with parietodynamic insulation with one or more ventilated air spaces, that is to say with an air passage provided between the outside and the inside, passing around the glazing.

There are already traditional carpentries in which each glazed element opens like a box, in two glazed parts of similar importance, between which blinds or curtains can be placed. But in this case, when the two parts are closed against each other, the space is made as airtight as possible to have better static thermal insulation. In the case of the invention, on the contrary, there is an air passage between the interior and the exterior of the building through this free space created between the two glass walls.

There are already glazings, they are light frames surrounding a glazing, often mobile and removable on their supports linking them to the main and load-bearing joinery. They are most often placed on the inside of the window, but they can be placed outside. They are significantly smaller in section than that of the main carpentry. If the window corresponds to an opening part, only the main carpentry has hinges connecting with the frame, the glazing being carried by the main carpentry of the opening. There are already glazings placed either inside or outside, allowing parietodynamic insulation with a single air space. Insulations parietodynamics with two or more air knives are already covered by a patent from the same inventor.

Thus the glazing, blinds, curtains, roller shutters ..., are outside the main joinery because the solid and non-removable uprights do not allow them to be placed inside for traditional windows.

Les documents WO-A-8701155, DE-A-3.148.345 et WO-A-8602692 décrivent des fenêtres comportant au moins trois vitrages formant boîtes. The documents WO-A-8701155, DE-A-3.148.345 and WO-A-8602692 describe windows comprising at least three glazings forming boxes.

Document WO-A-8602692 describes a window or French window with parietodynamic insulation by air circulation, comprising at least two ventilated air layers, therefore at least three glazing, the joinery opening in two important parts similar, the internal glazing (s) being blocked between the glazed parts.

The two glazed parts define a box delimiting a hollow space in which can be received at least one accessible accessory such as blinds, curtains, security, lighting, heating and ventilation systems.

The object of the invention is to produce a window in which the glazed part, opening or fixed, is constituted by a joinery forming a box, opening in two important parts. similar, each being glazed. Thus it is possible to place between these two panes:
  • one or more glazing for parietodynamic insulation, that is to say when the design of the window allows the passage of air between the exterior and the interior bypassing each glazing forming a baffle, thus achieving a heat exchanger by the glazing.
  • sun blinds with horizontal or vertical movement.
  • curtains
  • safety devices against impact, breakage, cut-outs on glazing, or on the whole window or French window,
  • lighting,
  • heaters,
  • ventilation devices,
  • devices that produce sounds or music.

The two parts of the box can:
  • either be made of the same material (wood, pvc, aluminum steel, ...). An additional interest comes from the fact that it is possible to realize at one time the joinery, as for a traditional window, then this is sawn in half in thickness: hence a great saving of time and l '' assurance of a perfect dimensional adaptation of the two parts of the box forming the joinery. The finishes are done afterwards separately for each part of the box joinery.
  • either be made by two different materials, such as wood-aluminum, wood-pvc, steel-pvc, ... Each part of the box joinery is therefore made of a different material, which facilitates manufacturing. It is thus possible to add the mechanical, aesthetic and maintenance qualities of each material and thus improve the performance of the windows. Between the two parts, the joints can, both have a thermal barrier function between the two materials, for example between aluminum and wood, or between two materials which are not very thermally insulating, for example aluminum-aluminum or aluminum-steel, and have the air tightness function for windows with parietodynamic insulation.

The two parts of the box joinery are held mechanically on one side by a movable connection, for example by hinges, on the other by a blocking assembly, for example visible screws on the front of the window or hidden locking elements on the edge of the window or the French window.

In an opening, half of the supporting box-joinery and connected for example by hinges to the frame can be the outer half or the inner half, both cases are possible.

In a fixed part, half of the joinery-box can be outside but more often inside.

In this hollow space between the two glass parts of the window-box, all filling combinations are possible: one, two, three, ... n glass or transparent walls produced by synthetic products (plastic, ...) . The spaces occupied by blinds, curtains, security devices, lighting, heating devices, ventilation devices, devices producing sounds, can be placed either near the exterior glass, or near the interior glass, or in the center; these spaces can be ventilated or not.

If there is a need for a lot of free space between the two glazed parts of the window-box, it is possible to have hollow frames serving, like table extensions, to enlarge the hollow space. They have the same external dimensions as the glazed parts. They are connected to the glazed parts like the glazed parts to each other, when there are no hollow frames. Most generally there would be at most a hollow frame.

One of the advantages of these incorporations with a window with parietodynamic insulation comes from the fact that, thanks to this there is a very good thermal insulation and there is no condensation between the glazings, or little risk of corrosion and less soiling. In addition, there is no excess temperature as soon as there is sun, solar energy being driven by the air, hence greater security in terms of expansion and for electronic devices. Window components can thus become very industrially manufactured elements in the factory, incorporating many sophisticated devices, fitted with precision and at low cost in the factory. The installation on the site will hardly be increased compared to that of a conventional window, but the connection The electric window can allow much wider and more complex uses than those offered by a traditional window.

The invention will be explained in a purely indicative manner during the description which follows, with reference to the appended drawings, corresponding to a wooden window; the extrapolation to windows made with other materials is obvious.
  • Figure 1 is the horizontal and vertical section of an opening window.
  • Figure 2 is the horizontal and vertical section of an opening of a parietodynamic window with two ventilated air knives, the box window blocking the third window between the two glazed parts.
  • Figure 3 is the horizontal section of a parietodynamic window opening with three and four ventilated air knives.
  • Figure 4 is the vertical section of an opening of a parietodynamic window with two ventilated air spaces with venetian or roller blinds, or other incorporations.
  • Figure 5 is the vertical section of an opening of a parietodynamic window with two ventilated air knives, with an extension frame.

In Figure 1, the opening of the window-box shown schematically in principle comprises the outer glazed part (1) and the inner glazed part (2) of similar importance, with a hollow space (3) between these two parts . The separation (4) between these two glazed parts is substantially mid-thickness of the joinery, it may contain a seal which can also serve as a thermal barrier. In the drawing, the interior glazed part (2) is load-bearing, the glazed part (1) is carried by the glazed part (2) thanks to the hinges (5), and blocked closed either by the screws (6) or by lateral locking. (7). The air passes from the outside to the inside through passages (8) placed in the solid parts in such a way that this ventilation uniformly scans the entire hollow space providing the parietodynamic insulation of the window.

In FIG. 2, the third window (9) is blocked between the two glazed parts (1) and (2) of the opening of the window-box according to the invention. The partition (4) is made airtight by joints made by the glued joinery (4a) supporting the third window and below by a baffle (4b). The outside air enters through the passage (8a) corresponding either to a mouth (8a1), or to a passage through the frame and the opening (8a2). The air exits through the passage (8b) corresponding either to a notch in the opening (8b1), or to a mouth (8b2). The opening is made in one go, then sawn in half, making the two glass parts (1) and (2). Thus, a parietodynamic window with two ventilated air spaces is produced.

In Figure 3,
  • the horizontal section (3.1) represents that of an opening of a parietodynamic box window with three ventilated air knives. The interior windows are blocked either by frames (10) glued laterally against the glued joinery (4a), or by blocking tabs (11).
  • the horizontal section (3.2) represents that of an opening of a parietodynamic window with four ventilated air knives.

In FIG. 4, the vertical section of the upper part of an opening of a parietodynamic box window with two ventilated air knives, comprises in the hollow space (3), in addition to the third window (9), an empty space allowing the incorporation in the window of blinds, curtains or other mechanical or electrical incorporations. This space has a place and any form:
  • on section 4.1, the empty space is in the center of the glazed part (1),
  • in section 4.2, the empty space is at the edge of the glazed part (1), the third window is blocked by blocking tabs (11),
  • on section 4.3, the empty space is of complex shape and in the two glazed parts (1) and (2),
  • in section 4.4, the empty space is in the glazed part (2).

In Figure 5, the vertical section of an opening of a parietodynamic box window with two ventilated air knives, with a central empty space (12) between the two panes, allowing all the incorporations which would not want to be in a ventilated space. Here, in addition to the two glass parts of the window-box, there is a hollow frame (13) serving as an extension to simply thicken the sash. Here, the hollow frame makes it possible to block the two interior glazings (9.1) and (9.2) forming the third window of the parietodynamic insulation.
