  • a suction cup has the advantage that catch arms catching the refuse container during the last part of the tilting movement are not necessary. When refuse containers without a proximity division are used, said refuse containers being emptied on different levels, the application of catch arm would entail great technical difficulties.
  • Another advantage of the application of a vacuum operated suction cup is that the use of a much more complicated locking mechanism normally associated with pick up elements of the type shown in Fig. 3 is no longer necessary.
