Abstract
Description
- Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Thermobimetallschalter, mit einem geschlossenen Gehäuse mit einem Deckel und einem wannenförmigen Unterteil, in welchem eine Kontaktfahne mit einem festen Kontakt und eine streifenförmige Kontaktfeder mit einem beweglichen Gegenkontakt sowie eine gewölbte Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe, die der Kontaktfeder gegenüberliegt, angeordnet sind.
- Der vorgeschlagene Thermobimetallschalter findet vielfache Anwendung als Temperaturwächter für elektrische Geräte jeglicher Art - insbesondere von Hausgeräten - mit der Aufgabe, einen Stromkreis bei Erreichen einer vorbestimmten Temperatur zu unterbrechen.
- Thermobimetallschalter sind in den unterschiedlichsten Ausführungsformen bekannt und werden in großen Stückzahlen hergestellt. Hinsichtlich der Betriebssicherheit werden einerseits hohe Anforderungen an diese Schalter gestellt und die müssen sehr robust sein, andererseits sollen jedoch ihre Herstellkosten niedrig liegen. Bekannte Thermobimetallschalter sind zwar betriebssicher aber zu aufwendig konzipiert.
- Es ist die Aufgabe der Erfindung, die Herstellung eines Thermobimetallschalters zu vereinfachen, dessen Montage zu erleichtern und seine Betriebssicherheit zu erhöhen.
- Zur Lösung der gestellten Aufgabe wird von einem bekannten Thermobimetallschalter, mit einem geschlossenen Gehäuse mit einem Deckel und einem Unterteil, in dem eine Kontaktfahne mit einem festen Kontakt und eine streifenförmige Kontaktfeder mit einem beweglichen Gegenkontakt sowie eine gewölbte Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe, die der Kontaktfeder gegenüberliegt, angeordnet sind, ausgegangen und gelöst wird die Aufgabe dadurch, daß am Unterteil des Gehäuses innen ein Zapfen hervorsteht, daß die Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe lose im Unterteil sitzt, und daß die Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe mit der Mitte ihrer konkaven Seite über dem Zapfen liegt. Ein solchermaßen ausgebildeter Thermobimetallschalter läßt sich sehr einfach herstellen, die Montage kann besonders schnell vor sich gehen und seine Betriebssicherheit ist hoch.
- Zweckmäßig ist der Zapfen, auf welchem die Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe aufliegt, an der Innenseite des Unterteiles angeformt.
- Vorteilhaft ist der Unterteil länglich-rechteckig wannenförmig ausgebildet und weist zwischen einem Boden zwei parallele Seitenwände sowie eine diese verbindende Stirnwand auf.
- Zur Verbesserung des Wärmedurchganges besteht das Gehäuse vorteilhaft aus einem dunkel eingefärbten, thermoplastischen Kunststoff, dessen Wärmekapazität gering ist.
- Die Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe weist einen rechteckigen Grundriß auf. Dieser Grundriß läßt sich einfach herstellen und ergibt günstige Schnapp-Eigenschaften.
- Nach einem weiteren Merkmal der Erfindung ist die Kontaktfahne auf dem Boden des Unterteiles befestigt.
- Zweckmäßig steckt die Kontaktfahne mit einem Halteloch auf einem Haltezapfen, welcher am Boden des Unterteiles vorgesehen ist.
- Zweckmäßig ist die Kontaktfahne am Haltezapfen durch thermische Verformung von dessen Kopf angenietet.
- In weiterer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung steckt die Kontaktfeder mit einem Befestigungsloch auf einem Befestigungszapfen, welcher am Boden des Unterteiles des Gehäuses vorgesehen ist. Diese Maßnahme gestattet eine einfache Montage.
- Zur Halterung der Kontaktfeder am Unterteil des Gehäuses ist diese an dem Befestigungszapfen angenietet, was wiederum durch thermische Verformung von dessen freiem Ende geschieht.
- Zur Fixierung von ihrer Lage im Unterteil ist die Kontaktfeder zweckmäßig neben dem Befestigungszapfen zweimal gegensinnig rechtwinklig abgebogen.
- Vorteilhaft trägt der Deckel innenseitig einen Passbolzen welcher in ein Passloch im Unterteil des Gehäuses eingreift. Damit ist die gegenseitige Lage von Deckel und Unterteil eindeutig festgelegt.
- Als Abschluß des Gehäuses und zur zusätzlichen Halterung der Kontaktfahne und der Kontaktfeder weist der Deckel unterseits ein Wandteil auf, das neben dem Befestigungszapfen zwischen die beiden Seitenwände des Unterteiles eingreift.
- Im Unterteil des Gehäuses können zwei gegenüberliegende Schultern vorgesehen sein. Diese Schultern dienen zur Führung der Kontaktfahne und der Kontaktfeder beim Einlegen in das Unterteil während der Montage.
- Zweckmäßig weist der Boden des Unterteils des Gehäuses eine Schräge auf. Diese Schräge dient zur Erhöhung der mechanischen Festigkeit des Gehäuses 1.
- Die Erfindung wird nachstehend an einem Ausführungsbeispiel anhand der beigefügten Zeichnung näher erläutert. Es zeigen
- Fig. 1 einen Thermobimetallschalter in einer Draufsicht bei aufgeschnittenem Deckel, in stark vergrößerter Darstellung;
- Fig. 2 den Thermobimetallschalter nach Figur 1 in einem Längsschnitt, geschnitten entlang der Linie II - II in Figur 1.
- Der in der Zeichnung wiedergegebene Thermobimetallschalter besteht im wesentlichen aus einem allseits geschlossenen Gehäuse 1 mit einem Unterteil 2 und einem Deckel 3, einer Kontaktfahne 4, einer Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe 5 einer Kontaktfeder 6.
- Das aus einem dunkel - vorzugsweise schwarz - eingefärbten Kunststoff durch Formpressen hergestellte Gehäuse 1 weist die Form eines langgestreckten Prismas mit techteckiger Grundfläche auf und ist allseitig geschlossen. Das Gehäuse besteht aus dem Unterteil 2 und dem Deckel 3.
- Das Unterteil 2 besitzt die Gestalt einer länglich-rechteckigen, niederen Wanne und weist zwei parallele Seitenwände 7 und 8 auf, die durch eine Stirnwand 9 miteinander verbunden sind. Zwischen den beiden Seitenwänden 7 und 8 erstreckt sich ein Boden 10, der eine Schräge 11 aufweist.
- Am Unterteil 2 des Gehäuses 1 steht innen ein zylindrischer Zapfen 12 hervor. Dieser Zapfen 12 besitzt eine ballige Oberfläche und ist an der Innenseite 13 des Unterteiles 2 - und zwar auf der Schräge 11 des Bodens 10 - angeformt und er steht senkrecht zum Boden 10.
- Am Boden 10 des Unterteiles 2 ist nahe der Seitenwand 7 ein zylindrischer Haltezapfen 14 vorgesehen, welcher am Boden 10 angeformt ist. Desweiteren ist am Boden 10 auf der Schräge 11 ein zylindrischer Befestigungszapfen 15 angeordnet, welcher auf der Schräge 11 angeformt ist.
- Im Unterteil 2 des Gehäuses 1 sind an der Stirnwand 9 zwei Schultern 16 und 17 angeformt, welche einander gegenüber liegen und die eine im Grundriß bogenförmige Ausnehmung 18 bilden.
- Der Deckel 3 des Gehäuses 1 besitzt einen länglich-rechteckigen grundriß, welcher mit demjenigen des Bodens 10 übereinstimmt. Dieser Deckel 3 schließt das Unterteil 2 ab und ist an seinem äußeren Rand ringsum mit den Oberkanten der Seitenwände 7 und 8 sowie der Stirnwand 9 verschweißt. Der Deckel 3 trägt an seiner Unterseite 19 ein Wandteil 20, welches im Grundriß L-förmig ausgebildet ist und neben dem Befestigungszapfen 15 und zwischen die beiden Seitenwände 7 und 8 des Unterteiles 2 formschlüssig eingreift.
- Der Deckel 3 trägt innen einen zylindrischen Passbolzen 21, der in ein Passloch 22 des Unterteiles 2 eingreift, das hinter der Schulter 17 vorgesehen ist.
- Die Kontaktfahne 4 besteht aus Kupfer, Messing oder Neusilber und liegt eben auf der Innenseite 13 des Bodens 10 des Unterteiles 2 auf und sie ist dort befestigt. Diese Kontaktfahne 4 weist einen langen, geraden Schenkel 24 auf, der in einen ebenfalls geraden, under einem stumpfen Winkel abgeknickten Schenkel 25 übergeht, dessen Ende 26 in die Ausnehmung 18 hineinragt. Zu ihrer Befestigung weist die Kontaktfahne 4 ein Halteloch 27 auf, mit welchem sie auf dem Haltezapfen 14 des Unterteiles 2 steckt und durch thermische Verformung des freien Endes des Haltezapfens 14 angenietet ist.
- Am Ende 26 der Kontaktfahne 4 ist eine kleine Scheibe aus Silber oder einem anderen Kontaktmaterial als fester kontakt 28 einplattiert.
- Die Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe 5 besitzt einen im wesentlichen rechteckigen Grundriß mit zwei parallelen Längsseiten 29 und 30 sowie zwei schwach gekrümmt ausgebildeten Schmalseiten 31 und 32; diese Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe 5 ist schwach gewölbt und sie springt unter Erwärmung bei einer vorgesehenen Temperatur um.
- Die Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe 5 ist lose in das Unterteil 2 zwischen die Seitenwände 7 und 8, die Schultern 17 und 18 sowie den Befestigungszapfen 15 eingelegt und sie liegt der Kontaktfeder 6 gegenüber. Die Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe 5 liegt somit zwischen der Kontaktfahne 4 und der Kontaktfeder 6.
- Mit der Mitte ihrer konkaven Seite 33 liegt die Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe 5 auf dem Zapfen 12 auf. Schnappt die Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe 5 infolge Temperaturerhöhung um, wird die konkave Seite 33 konvex und der der Ausnehmung 18 gegenüberliegende Rand der Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe 5 drückt die vorgespannte Kontaktfeder 6 hoch, sodaß der Kontakt geöffnet wird.
- Die aus einem federelastischen Material hergestellte Kontaktfeder 6 ist im Grundriß leicht trapezförmig aus gebildet und sie geht in eine schmale Anschlußfahne 34 über. An ihrem freien Ende 35 trägt die Kontaktfeder 6 einen Gegenkontakt 36, welcher angenietet ist und mit dem festen Kontakt 28 zusammenarbeitet. Das Ende 35 ragt in die Ausnehmung 18 des Unterteiles 2 hinein.
- Die Kontaktfeder 6 ist dicht neben dem Befestigungszapfen 15 zweimal gegensinnig rechtwinklig abgebogen und sie trägt ein Befestigungsloch 37, mit dem sie auf dem Befestigungszapfen 15 steckt. Durch thermische Verformung des Endes 38 des Befestigungszapfens 15 ist die Kontaktfeder 6 am Unterteil 2 des Gehäuses 1 angenietet.
- Am freien Ende des geraden Schenkels 24 der Kontaktfahne 4 und an der Anschlußfahne 34 der Kontaktfeder 6 sind die Kupferleiter 39 von isolierten, elektrischen Zuführungslitzen 40 durch Löten oder Schweißen befestigt. Der Hohlraum zwischen den Enden der beiden Seitenwände 7 und 8 des Unterteiles 2 und der Außenseite des Wandteiles 20 des Deckels 3 ist mit einer elektrisch isolierenden, wärmeunempfindlichen Vergußmasse 41 ausgefüllt.
- Die Montage des vorgeschlagenen Thermobimetallschalters gent einfach vor sich. Es werden nacheinander und übereinander in das Unterteil 2 des Gehäuses 1 die Kontaktfahne 4, die Thermobimetall-Schnappscheibe 5 und die Kontaktfeder 6 eingelegt wobei die Enden des Haltezapfens 14 sowie des Befestigungszapfens 15 über der Kontaktfahne 4 und der Kontaktfeder 6 mit einen Werkzeug thermisch verformt werden. Der Deckel 3 wird aufgesetzt und ringsum mit dem Unterteil 2 verschweißt oder verklebt, zuletzt wird die Vergußmasse 41 eingefüllt.
