Definitions
- the present invention relates to a gas burner with a mixing tube, the inlet for charging with a gas-air mixture is coaxially associated with a gas supply nozzle at a distance, and if necessary reducing the primary air portion of the mixture flowing within this distance, a coverage of the area between the Gas supply nozzle and the inlet of the mixing tube is provided, which is attached to the nozzle holder connecting the gas supply nozzle to the mixing tube.
- the AT-PS 198 473 shows a burner for a gas appliance, at the mixing chamber containing the mouth of the gas supply line two air supply openings are provided, the passage size of which can be changed manually by means of a slide.
- One slide is intended for the ignition position of the gas, the other for normal operation. It is not possible to make a definable setting for gas types with different calorific values.
- the CH-PS 89 142 shows a burner with a vertical mixing tube, which has a link-like guide for a slide, with which the primary air inlet of a slot is continuously variable in its passage cross section. There is no conversion for gas types with different calorific values.
- DE-PS 414 179 shows a Bunsen burner for a gas stove, in which an annular primary air inlet slot on the part of the Sheath of a mixing tube is provided, which can be covered by an approximately semi-cylindrical slide which slides on the outside of the tube and can be fixed by means of a screw.
- FR-OS 2 166 852 shows the adjustability of several gas nozzles in their distances from the inlets of mixing tubes of a multi-chamber burner.
- the present invention is based on the object of being able to convert the primary air portion of an atmospheric gas burner in a defined manner in the presence of different types of gas with different calorific values.
- the cover can be pushed or plugged onto the nozzle holder in a desired shift and is held in a positive manner in this desired position, the cover consisting of a U-profile, the web on which the gas supply nozzle connects with the Leg of the angle connecting the inlet of the mixing tube lies flat and both legs limit and cover the space between the gas nozzle and the mixing tube inlet on both sides.
- the U-profile of the cover e.g. by means of extensions of its two legs projecting inwards against each other on both sides, form a guide for the leg of the angular holder resting against its web.
- an end wall which engages on the bottom of the cover and engages under the gas nozzle with a recess can also be provided.
- the cover can also be fastened to the end of the mixing tube forming the inlet, in which case it expediently consists of a sleeve which can be plugged onto the free end of the mixing tube and which is axially displaceable and adjustable in its desired position is, it only has to extend over a part of the circumference of the mixing tube to facilitate its attachment.
- the size of the proportion of primary air flowing to the gas-air mixture can also be varied very sensitively and set to an optimal target value such that recesses penetrate the wall of the cover.
- recesses can be used for the regulation of the primary air portion in the sense of the invention, but also their shape.
- round, preferably circular, rectangular or square and / or triangular recesses can advantageously be provided.
- a gas nozzle (not shown) is attached coaxially to the angle leg 3 of an angular holder 2, the other angle leg 4 of which is attached along a generatrix of the cylindrical wall of the mixing tube 1 to the outside thereof, at a predetermined desired distance x. e.g. is welded on.
- this gas nozzle holder which is manufactured as standard, are matched to a specific gas pressure and only result in an optimal air ratio at this gas pressure, i.e. an optimal ratio of the gas and primary air proportions in the gas-air mixture.
- the primary air supply must be throttled in the space between the gas nozzle and the mixing tube inlet.
- a suitable cover 5 consists of a U-profile, the web 6 lies flat against the angle leg 4 connecting the gas nozzle with the mixing tube 1 and the two legs 7 on both sides limit and cover the space between the gas nozzle and the mixing tube inlet.
- the primary air portion can be regulated without problems.
- the shape of the cover 5 is also matched to the holder 2 of the gas nozzle 9 on the mixing tube 1, and this cover 5 consists of a sheet metal bent to form a sleeve with an approximately square profile, the upper side of which is made up of only two mutually facing flanges 10 is formed, with which this cover 5 rests on the top of the leg 4 attached to the mixing tube 1 of the holder 2.
- These flanges 10 hold the cover 5, which consists of a base 11 and the two side walls 12, on the angle leg 4.
- this cover 5 has an end wall 13 which engages under the gas nozzle 9 with a recess 14 and thereby centers the cover 5 with respect to the axis of the mixing tube 1.
- the side walls 12 of the cover 5 can be penetrated by recesses 15 of any design, the shape and size or number of which can be used to regulate the extent of the primary air flowing into the gas stream.
- a cover 5 consists of a circular profiled sleeve, the inside diameter of which corresponds approximately to the outside diameter of the mixing tube 1 adjoining the end face of a burner chamber 16, but which extends only over part of the circumference of the mixing tube and e.g. is resilient, can be attached to the mixing tube 1.
- This sleeve-shaped cover 5 is axially displaceable within the distance x with respect to the gas nozzle 9 and the mixing tube 1 and its respective optimal position can be determined empirically.
- FIGS. 10 to 15 show various possibilities for the design of recesses 15, which can be provided in the wall of a cover in order to enable the optimum primary air portion to be set as delicately as possible, with the shape of these recesses 15 leading to the displaceability of the cover 5 can be considered with respect to the wall of the mixing tube 1.
- This cover 5 is mounted either by axially sliding it onto the free end of the mixing tube 1 or by clamping the resilient sleeve in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the mixing tube 1 Then this cover 5 can be adjusted by axial displacement such that the size of the remaining Distance from the gas nozzle 9 or through the shape, size and number of the areas of the recesses 15 of the wall of the cover 5 which remain open in each case, the supply of the correct proportion of primary air is ensured.
- FIG. 10 shows, for example, four circular recesses 15 in the cover wall
- FIG. 11 shows two circular recesses 15 of larger diameter
- FIG. 12 shows two longitudinal slots 15, the course of which has the consequence that when the cover 5 is displaced, the primary air inflow changes continuously, linearly, whereas this inflow can be changed progressively according to a third-order function when a triangular recess 15 according to FIG. 13 is arranged.
- FIGS. 14 and 15 show embodiments with a large number of relatively small recesses 15, which can be formed in any systematic arrangement in the wall of the cover 5.
