  • the saw rail fastening nuts serve at the same time to fasten the sprocket cover which overlaps and covers the sprocket and the rail mounting device. If the chain is now to be replaced, it is necessary not only to loosen the rail fastening nuts, but to unscrew them completely from the fastening bolts so that the sprocket cover can be removed. There is a risk that the fastening nuts will be lost, especially when working in the forest. In addition, the handling of such a motor chain saw when changing the chain is extremely complicated, since with the sprocket cover removed, the saw rail is also no longer fastened and is held loosely on the fastening bolt, so that an arrangement of the saw chain around the saw rail is only possible with difficulty.
