- the reference numbers 29, 30 denote inclined surfaces of the housing part 4 in the region of the opening 5 and the part of the vibrating support 6 protruding from the opening 5, which are bevelled to match one another and smoothly merge into one another. Contact gel applied to the application surface can thus be smoothly stripped again after the ultrasound head has been used.
- 31 in the oscillator carrier 6 denotes a circumferential thin groove for receiving adhesive overflowing (indicated by 32) when the ceramic oscillating disk 7 is adhered to the oscillator carrier 6. Undesired cross-coupling when the ceramic vibrating disk 7 is vibrated is thereby avoided.
- the defective ultrasonic oscillator 2 (oscillator carrier 6 together with the ceramic oscillating disk 7) is dismantled in the opposite manner to that described above for assembly and can therefore be easily replaced by a new intact ultrasonic oscillator 2.
