Definitions
- the invention relates to a ribbon cassette with reloadable ribbon spools of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1.
- a removable cassette for a carbon band in a printer with a rotatable drive element for feeding the band has become known, the cassette consisting of a housing and a take-up reel for the tape.
- a swiveling feed roller interacts with a spiked wheel with a take-up spool arranged on a fixed axis in order to wind up the carbon strip.
- the feed roller with the spike wheel must first be disengaged from the take-up spool. In this changing process, several manual operations are required, since the feed roller must also be brought back into engagement with the take-up reel after inserting a new cassette into the take-up device of the machine.
- DE-PS 25 53 329 shows an ink ribbon cassette for a typewriter or office machine of a similar type, in which the feed roller with the spike wheel is arranged in the cassette.
- the feed roller remains in constant engagement with the carbon tape of the take-up spool. This makes it possible to replace ribbon cartridges with only one hand.
- This known ribbon cassette is very expensive, since the drive elements contained in the ribbon cassette for the carbon ribbon are also thrown away after their consumption. Since the feed roller is also always in engagement with the take-up spool and the drive elements are mounted on the one hand in the base part and on the other hand in the cover firmly connected to the base part, it is not possible to replace the feed and take-up spools.
- the invention has for its object to provide a ribbon cassette with reloadable ribbon spools, which ensures easy connection of the ribbon with the winding core, after which the printing process can take place undisturbed until the new ribbon is used.
- This object is achieved by the invention characterized in claim 1.
- the support surface arranged around the bearing journal for the take-up spool creates a secure support for the winding core and a stop surface for the fastening element when it is inserted into the take-up bore. Due to the free end of the fastener, there are no more disturbances during the winding process. An advantageous further development makes it much easier to thread the fastening element into the receiving bore of the winding core.
- FIG. 1 shows a reloadable ink ribbon cassette 1, which consists of a pot-shaped base part 2 and a cover 3 which can be closed at the opening.
- the cover 3 can be articulated to a side wall 4 of the base part 2 and can be firmly connected to the base part by means of a locking lever 5.
- This locking lever 5 is pivotable about an axis 6 in the bottom part and has a control arm 7, the free end 8 of which is in positive engagement with a guide surface 9 of a pivot lever 10.
- the pivot lever 10 can be acted upon in a clockwise direction about an axis 11 by means of a spring 12.
- a take-up reel 15 is rotatably mounted about bearing pin 14.
- the locking lever 5 is in the pivoted position, the lid 3 is released and can be pivoted freely in the open or in the closed position about bearing points 16, 17.
- the take-up reel 15 is also kept out of engagement with a spike wheel 18 of a feed roller 19.
- the feed roller 19 is fixedly connected to a gear 20, which is in constant engagement with a drive pinion 21.
- This drive pinion 21 has a cross slot 22 which can be coupled in a form-fitting manner to a cutting edge 24 which is drivably mounted in the receiving device 23.
- the bottom part 2 has a further journal 25 for a feed spool 26, on the core 27 of which a supply roll 28 of an ink ribbon 29 is arranged.
- the free end of the ribbon 29 has a guide pin 90 with a fastener 92 which, for. B. is cylindrical and is fixedly connected to an eyelet at the free end of the ribbon 29.
- the ink ribbon 29 can be laid around deflection pins 35, 36, pulled out of the outlet opening 37, inserted into the inlet opening 38 and connected to the winding spool 15.
- the take-up reel 15 has a Receiving hole 39 for the fastener 92 of the guide pin 90.
- the receiving bore 39 is provided with a passage slot 40 for the ink ribbon 29.
- a cover plate 42 can be placed on the free end face 41 of the feed reel 26 which can be inserted into the cassette 1 and is provided with a contact edge 43 for the fastening element 92 on the guide pin 90 arranged on the free end of the ink ribbon 29 of the feed reel 26.
- the cover plate 42 projects beyond the end face 41 of the feed spool 26 at least in the region of the contact edge 43 in such a way that the first turns of the ink winder 28 can be blocked off in the axial direction.
- the cover plate 42 also has an outer contour corresponding to the inner contour of the cassette 1, such that the cover plate 42 is secured against rotation after the insertion of the feed reel 26 into the cassette 1.
- the core 27 of the feed spool 26 is provided with a handle protruding from the end face 41 of the feed roll 28, on which the cover plate 42 is arranged such that it can be locked.
- the cover plate 42 has a recess with inwardly projecting centering lugs for central storage on the hollow cylindrical handle.
- Free workings 51, 52, 53, 54 are arranged radially aligned between these individual centering noses 47, 48, 49, 50.
- the free working 54 consists of an elongated recess 55, which serves as a viewing slot and is arranged in the direction of escape when the hinged lid is closed with a viewing slot 56 in the hinged lid 3.
- the cover plate 42 has a recess 57 for the winding 58 of the take-up spool 15.
- the full roll 58 of the take-up reel 15 then protrudes into the recess 57 in the cover plate 42. Therefore, the recess 57 is concave to the core 27 of the feed spool 26.
- the pivot lever 10 has a circular bearing surface 81 for the winding core 15 concentric with the bearing pin 14, such that the insertion of the fastening element 92 can be limited with the guide pin 90. Thereafter, the guide pin 90 is separated by a notch 93 from the fastening element 92 by breaking off.
- the winding 58 of the take-up reel 15 is supported with increasing diameter on raised surfaces 79, 80 in the base part 2, which are arranged in the vicinity of the circumference of the locking toothed disk 78 with the circumferential locking toothed disk 78.
- a locking tooth 77 of a locking lever 70 acted upon by a spring 75 can be brought into engagement.
- the locking lever 70 can be pivoted about an axis 71 in the base part 2 and has two arms. On an arm 74 of this locking lever 70 there is a bearing pin 76 for the deflection roller 36 designed as a deflection point for the ink ribbon 29.
- the second arm 72 of the locking lever 70 has a stop surface 73 which can be acted upon by a stop arm 13 of the pivot lever 10. If the locking lever 5 is brought into the pivoted-out position according to FIG. 1, then the pivot lever 10 is pivoted counterclockwise about the axis 11 and, via its stop arm 13, the locking lever 70 is pivoted clockwise about the bearing axis 71. Here, the take-up reel 15 disengages from the toothing 18 of the drive roller 19 and the locking tooth 77 disengages from the toothing of the locking toothed disk 78. When the pivoting lever 10 returns to the position shown in dashed lines in FIG ) on the toothing 18. In addition, the ratchet tooth 77 is again in engagement with the toothing of the ratchet gear 78.
- the take-up spool 15 is rotated clockwise, as a result of which the ink ribbon 29 is moved one step in the direction of arrow 84.
- the locking lever 70 is pivoted clockwise, causing the locking tooth 77 comes out of engagement with the teeth of the locking gear 78.
- the locking lever 70 immediately returns to its locked position. Since the winding on the take-up spool is supported on the raised surfaces 79, 80 with increasing diameter, the rotational movement of the ratchet gear 78 is not hindered by the ratchet tooth 77 when it is released.
- the raised surfaces 79, 80 are of such a height that the winding of the take-up spool 15 does not touch the locking gear 78.
- the take-up spool 15 is rotatably mounted with a bearing bore 117 in the core 85 around a bearing journal 14 and with a bearing surface 118 on a support surface 81 which is located just below the reception bore 39; 86 for the fastening element 92 according to FIG. 2 is arranged on the ink ribbon 29.
- the support surface 81 is circular and serves as a stop surface for the fastening element 92 when inserted into the receiving bore 86 of the winding core 85. This creates a secure end position of the inserted fastening element 92, after which this fastening element 92 is reduced by a cross-section 93 by a handle provided guide pin 90 is easily separable by breaking.
- the length of the fastening element 92 is smaller than the width of the winding core 85, so that the break on the fastening element 92 after its separation from the guide pin 90 is always within the contour of the winding core 85. Since the fastening element 92 does not protrude from the receiving bore 86, there can also be no disturbances in the rotational movement of the winding core 85 when the ink ribbon 29 is wound up. 2, the fastening element 92 can only be clamped in the receiving bore 86 in the central region. Incidentally, the toothing 18 of the drive roller 19 only interacts with the winding core in the central region.
- the receiving bore 86 in the region of the circumferential center of the winding core 85 has an opening slot 89 for the passage of the ink ribbon 29 when the fastening element 92 is inserted.
- This also enables the opening slot 89 to merge into extensions 87, 88 with run-in bevels toward the end faces 112, 113 of the winding core 85.
- These extensions have a width that is larger than the diameter of the fastening element 92 with the ink ribbon 29 attached to it.
- These extensions 87, 88 enable easier fastening of the fastening element 92 in the receiving bore 86.
- extensions 87, 88 are formed symmetrically to the circumferential center of the winding core 85 such that the winding core 85 is placed on the bearing journal 14 from both end faces 112, 113 of the Winding core 85 is possible. The person operating the machine can thus place the winding core 85 on the bearing journal 14 as desired.
- FIG. 3 shows a further possibility of simply connecting the ink ribbon 29 to a winding core 102.
- the fastening element consists of a locking bush 100 which can be inserted into the receiving bore 103 of the winding core 102 by means of a guide pin 94 and can be locked in the receiving bore 103.
- the locking bush 100 has a locking notch 101 in the center of the outer circumference, into which resilient locking lugs 114 can be locked in the middle of the receiving bore 103.
- the receiving bore 103 is provided with conical extensions 104, 105 from the locking lugs 114 to the two end faces 110, 111. This greatly facilitates the threading of the fastening element on the guide pin 94.
- the walls 108, 109 of the receiving bores 103 are resiliently formed by undercuts 106, 107. This ensures a secure locking of the locking bush 100 in the receiving bore 103.
- the locking bushing 100 is inserted into the receiving bore 103 of the winding core 102 via a guide pin 94 which is provided with a cylindrical clamping part 95 at its lower end.
- the cylindrical Clamping part 95 consists of two resilient legs 96, 97 separated from one another by a slot 98. These resilient legs 96, 97 are provided at their free ends with threading bevels 115, 116, by means of which the fastening element 15 is inserted into the receiving bore 99 of the locking bush 100 is facilitated.
