- Tackers are known in which the strength of the drive-in stroke can be adjusted so that multiple strikes on one and the same tacking material are not necessary. If an operator is used to other known staple guns (eg according to DE-OS 32 32 137) that he can trigger lookups without a new staple being separated from the staple package, there is a risk that he will do so with a staple gun according to the present invention tries. If the handle 33 is now released, it will not return to its starting position and ready position for a new stroke as long as the angle lever 28 holds the transmission member 32 in the latched position. If the staple gun 1 is lifted from the workpiece, the pressure of the angle lever 28 on the transmission member 32 is released. The leaf spring 55 can push the transmission member 32 away from the housing wall 58 and thus release the latching connection 59/60. Now the handle 33 and the transmission link 32 move back into their rest position and are then ready for a new release movement.
