- the push button 22 is located below a conventional push button 24 for actuating the on and off switch for the motor of the hand tool. This push button 24 can be fixed in a known manner by means of a push button 25 in its switched-on position.
- the usual transmission torque is initially used, the size of which is determined by the pressure of the helical spring 18. If, for example, the drill 16 hits a reinforcing iron while it is in operation, it can jam in the borehole. A higher driving torque is required to drill through this reinforcing iron. The operator consciously adjusts to this situation and first presses the push button 23 and then the push button 22 thus released. The electromagnet 19 is energized via the switch operated with this push button 22. The magnetic field thus built up pulls the gearwheel 14 into the clutch engagement with the clutch 17 with increased force. The driving torque of this clutch is thus in the desired manner elevated. As soon as the push button 22 is released, the power supply for the electromagnet 19 is also switched off. The old transmission torque, determined by the helical spring 18, is established on the clutch 17.
