Abstract

Pour améliorer la performance balistique finale d'un projectile sous-calibré (15) composé d'un pénétrateur (15b) et d'un empennage (16), une partie (15a) du projectile (15) a une forme conique et repose dans un évidement (16a) lui aussi conique de l'empennage (16). Les forces transversales s'exerçant sur l'empennage (16) lors de la pénétration dans le matériau de la cible ne sont ainsi pas transmises au pénétrateur (15b), au moins dans la partie conique (15a) du projectile, ce qui empêche le pénétrateur (15b) de se casser à cet endroit.

Claims (6)

1. Projectile sous-calibré comportant un pénétrateur et un empennage entourant le pénétrateur coaxialement sur une zone partielle de sa longueur, caractérisé en ce qu'une zone partielle (15a) située vers l'arrière du pénétrateur (15b) est en forme de cône (angle de cône a) et que cette zone partielle (15a) du pénétrateur (15b) est disposée dans un évidement (16a), logé dans l'empennage (16), dont la surface de limitation interne est également conformée en cône (angle de cône β).
2. Projectile selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'angle d'ouverture (β) est supérieur à l'angle d'ouverture (a).
3. Pojectile selon l'une des revendications 1 et 2, caractérisé en ce qu'à la partie en forme de cône (15a) du pénétrateur (15b) se raccorde un goujon (15c) cylindrique fileté qui pénètre dans un évidement (16b) taraudé.
4. Projectile selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que le goujon (15c) est limité par un tronc de cône (15d), que l'évidement (16b) débouche dans un trou borgne conique ( 16c) et que l'inclinaison des surfaces de limitation du tronc de cône (15d) et du trou borgne (16c) se correspondent.
5. Projectile selon l'une des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que la longueur de l'évidement (16a) en forme de cône dans l'empennage (16) se situe entre un tiers et deux tiers de la longueur de la zone ( 15a) en forme de cône du pénétrateur ( 15b), et que l'angle (β) est supérieur d'au moins deux degrés à l'angle (a).
6. Projectile selon les revendications 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce que la longueur de la zone ( 15a) en forme de cône du pénétrateur (15b) est d'environ 70 mm, que la longueur de l'évidement (16a) en forme de cône est environ 40 mm, que l'angle (a) présente une valeur de 5° et l'angle (ß) une valeur de 7°.
