Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft eine Mischung aus mindestens einer nichtflüchtigen Substanz mit mindestens einer olefinischen Doppelbindung und einem Dibenzalaceton-Palladiumkomplex und deren Verwendung zur stromlosen Metallabscheidung.
- Aus der DE-OS-2 451 217 ist es bekannt, dass Lösungen von Komplexen aus Palladium, Triphenylphosphit und einer olefinisch oder acetylenisch ungesättigten organischen Verbindung mit 3 - 16 C-Atomen oder von Palladium-Dibenzalaceton-Komplexen für die stromlose Metallabscheidung auf Substraten, wie Metallen, oxidierten Metallen und Kunststoffen, eingesetzt werden können. Dabei werden die zu beschichtenden Substrate ein oder mehrere Male in eine Lösung der Palladium-Komplexe getaucht, bevorzugt in Benzol- oder Toluol-Lösungen, und auf 100 - 300°C erhitzt, wobei Palladium auf der Substrat-Oberfläche abgeschieden wird. Die so beschichteten Substrate eignen sich zur stromlosen Metallabscheidung. In der EP-A-0 125 617 sind Mischungen aus Polymeren und Palladiumkomplexen beschrieben. Durch thermische Behandlung solcher Mischungen wird die Bildung von nullwertigem Palladium erzielt.
- Ein Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Mischung enthaltend
- a) mindestens eine nichtflüchtige Substanz mit mindestens einer olefinischen Doppelbindung und
- b) mindestens einen Palladiumkomplex der Formel
- R2 ein Wasserstoffatom, C1-4-Alkyl, Ci-4-Alkoxy, Halogen, C6-10-Aryl, C7-8-Aralkyl oder C7-8-Alkaryl bedeuten,
- R3 ein Wasserstoffatom oder C1-4-Alkyl ist oder die beiden R3 zusammen eine Polymethylenkette mit 2 - 4 C-Atomen bilden und
- q eine rationale Zahl von 1 bis 3,5 darstellt.
- In der Gruppe HO-(-CmH2m-O-)-n ist m bevorzugt eine Zahl von 2 bis 4 und n bevorzugt eine Zahl von 0 bis 10, besonders 0 bis 6. Insbesondere bedeutet die Gruppe CmH2m Ethylen, 1,2- oder 1,3-Propylen oder 1,4-Butylen.
- Die Verbindungen der Formel I können auch in Form von Gemischen von Palladiumkomplexen mit unterschiedlicher Bedeutung von q vorliegen. q ist vorzugsweise eine rationale Zahl von 2 bis 3,5.
- Alkyl- und Alkoxygruppen R2 und Alkylgruppen R3 können geradkettig oder verzweigt sein. Als Beispiele seien genannt: Methyl, Ethyl, n-Propyl, Isopropyl, n-Butyl und sek.-Butyl; Methoxy, Ethoxy, n-Propoxy, n-Butoxy und sek.-Butoxy. Als Halogenatome R2 kommen vor allem Brom- und Chloratome in Betracht. Bedeutet R2 Aryl, so handelt es sich zum Beispiel um 1- oder 2-Naphthyl und besonders Phenyl. Beispiele von definitionsgemässen Aralkyl- oder Alkarylgruppen R2 sind Benzyl, a-und β-Phenylethyl, Methylbenzyl, Tolyl, Xylyl und Ethylphenyl.

- Die Verbindungen der Formel I können nach an sich bekannten Verfahren hergestellt werden [vgl. z. B. J. Chem. Soc. D, 1970, 1065 und US-PS-4 347 232], indem man q Mol einer Verbindung der Formel II
- Als Basen können z. B. Alkalimetallsalze aliphatischer Monocarbonsäuren, besonders Kalium- und Natriumacetat, verwendet werden. Geeignete Palladiumsalze sind beispielsweise PdBr2, PdC12 und Na2PdCl4. Besonders bevorzugt verwendet man Na2PdCla und vor allem PdC12. Die Umsetzung wird zweckmässig in einem organischen Lösungsmittel durchgeführt, das gleichzeitig auch als H-Donor fungiert. Dazu eignen sich z. B. Alkanole mit bis zu 6 C-Atomen, vor allem Ethanol und besonders bevorzugt Methanol.
- Die Verbindungen der Formel II sind bekannt oder können auf an sich bekannte Weise hergestellt werden, beispielsweise analog dem in der US-PS-3 295 974 beschriebenen Verfahren.
- Das Gewichtsverhältnis von Komponente (a) zu Komponente (b) in der erfindungsgemässen Mischung kann 100 : 1 bis 1 : 20, bevorzugt 10 : 1 bis 1 : 10, besonders 5 : 1 bis 1 : 5 und insbesondere 3 : 1 bis 1 : 3 betragen. Als Komponente (a) sind monomere, oligomere und polymere Substanzen geeignet, die mindestens eine olefinische Doppelbindung enthalten. Sie können flüssig, flüssig-viskos oder fest sein. Flüssige und flüssigviskose Substanzen werden zweckmässig zusammen mit einem Bindemittel verwendet.
- Die Komponente a) kann z. B. ein Cs-C2o-Alken, C5-C12-Cycloalken, ein olefinisch ungesättigter Alkohol oder Amid mit 3 bis 12 C-Atomen, eine olefinische ungesättigte Carbonsäure oder Carbonsäurederivate mit 3 bis 30 C-Atomen, ein Polybutadien oder Polyisopren, ein ungesättigter Polyester oder ein Polymer mit olefinischen Seitengruppen sein.
- Bevorzugt ist Komponente a) ein Acrylsäure- oder Methacrylsäureester oder -amid, ein gegebenenfalls Ci-C4- alkylsubstituierter Maleinsäureester, -anhydrid, -imid oder -amid, ein Allylether oder Allylamid, ein Polymaleinsäureester, ein Polybutadien oder Polyisopren oder ein Polyolefin mit Dimethylmaleinimidgruppen in Seitengruppen. Insbesondere ist Komponente a) ein mit Amino-, Hydroxyl- oder Carboxylgruppen funktionalisiertes Polybutadien oder Polyisopren mit einem Molekulargewicht von 5 000 - 40 000, besonders 10 000 - 40 000.
- Das Alken enthält bevorzugt 5 bis 12 C-Atome und 1 bis 3 Doppelbindungen. Beispiele sind Penten, Pentadien, Hexen, Hexadien, Hepten, Octen, Decen und Dodecen.
- Beispiele für Cycloalken sind Cyclopenten, Cyclopentadien, Cyclohexen, Cyclohexadien, Cyclohepten, Cycloheptatrien, Cycloocten, Cyclooctadien, Cyclooctatrien, Cyclodecen und Cyclododecen.
- Olefinisch ungesättigte Alkohole oder Amide enthalten vorzugsweise 3 bis 6 C-Atome. Insbesondere handelt es sich um Allylalkohole und Allyamine. Geeignet sind auch Allylether mit bevorzugt 4 bis 12 C-Atomen und Allylester mit bevorzugt 5 bis 12 C-Atomen.
- Ungesättigte Carbonsäuren bzw. Carbonsäurederivate enthalten bevorzugt 3 bis 18 C-Atome. Es kann sich um Mono- oder Polycarbonsäuren mit vorzugsweise 1 bis 3 Carboxylgruppen handeln. Beispiele für solche Carbonsäuren sind Acrylsäure, Methacrylsäure, Crotonsäure, Maleinsäure, Methyl- oder Dimethylmaleinsäure, Fumarsäure. Als Derivate sind Ester mit vorzugsweise 1 bis 12 C-Atomen in der Estergruppe, Amide, Anhydride und Imide geeignet. Die Amide und Imide können mit C1-C12-Alkyl substituiert sein.
- Bevorzugte Ester sind Acrylsäureester und Methacrylsäureester von Alkoholen mit 1 bis 12 C-Atomen und vorzugsweise 1 bis 6 Hydroxylgruppen. Geeignete Alkohole sind C1-C12-Alkanole, C2-Cs-Alkandiole, Trimethylolpropan, Pentaerythrit, Poly(oxaalkylen)diole mit 2 bis 6 C-Atomen in der Alkylengruppe, Bisphenole und Novolake. Geeignete Ester sind auch die Umsetzungsprodukte von Glycidylverbindungen mit (Meth)Acrylsäure.
- Bei den Polybutadienen und Polyisoprenen kann es sich um oligomere oder polymere Homo- oder Copolymerisate handeln. Geeignete Monomere für Copolymerisate sind besonders Acrylnitril und Styrol.
- Geeignete ungesättigte Polyester leiten sich insbesondere von Maleinsäure und C2-C16-Diolen ab.
- Bei Polymeren mit olefinischen Seitengruppen kann es sich zum Beispiel um solche handeln, die eine Acryl-oder Methacrylgruppe als Seitengruppe aufweisen. Beispiele sind z. B. Ester von Polyvinylalkohol oder Polyacrylsäure bzw. Methacrylsäure, die mit (Meth)Acryläureaikandiolmonoestern verestert sind. Weitere geeignete Polymere mit olefinischer Seitengruppe sind solche, die eine Maleinimidylgruppe der Formel
- Die Komponente (a) kann auch die Funktion eines Bindemittels besitzen. Die erfindungsgemässe Mischung kann auch zusätzlich ein Bindemittel enthalten. Solche Mischungen enthalten bevorzugt 99,8 bis 40 Gew.-%, besonders 99 bis 60 Gew.-%, insbesondere 90 bis 70 Gew.-% Bindemittel, 0,1 bis 30 Gew.-%, besonders 0,5 bis 20 Gew.-% insbesondere 5 bis 15 Gew.-% der Komponente (a), und 0,1 bis 30 Gew.-%, besonders 0,5 bis 20 Gew.-%, insbesondere 5 bis 15 Gew.-% der Komponente (b).
- Das Bindemittel kann ein duroplastisches oder thermoplastisches Polymer sein. Beispiele sind:
- 1. Polymere, die sich von einfach oder doppelt ungesättigten Kohlenwasserstoffen ableiten, wie Polyolefine, wie z. B. Polyethylen, das gegebenenfalls vernetzt sein kann, Polypropylen, Polyisobutylen, Polymethylbuten-1, Polymethylpenten-1, Polybuten-1, Polyisopren, Polybutadien, Polystyrol, Polyisobutylen, Copolymere der den genannten Homopolymeren zugrundeliegenden Monomeren, wie Ethylen-Propylen-Copolymere, Propylen-Buten-1-Copolymere, Propylen-Isobutylen-Copolymere, sowie Terpolymere von Ethylen und Propylen mit einem Dien, wie z. B. Hexadien, Dicyclopentadien oder Ethylidennorbornen; Mischungen der oben genannten Homopolymeren, wie beispielsweise Gemische von Polypropylen und Polyethylen, Polypropylen und Poly-Buten-1, Polypropylen und Polyisobutylen.
- 2. Halogenhaftige Vinylpolymere, wie Polyvinylchlorid, Polyvinylidenchlorid, Polyvinylfluorid, aber auch Polychloropren und Chlorkautschuke.
- 3. Polymere, die sich von a,ß-ungesättigten Säuren und deren Derivaten ableiten, wie Polyacrylate und Polymethacrylate, Polyacrylamide und Polyacrylnitril, sowie deren Copolymere mit anderen Vinylverbindungen, wie Acrylnitril/Butadien/Styroi-, Acrylnitril/Styrol- und Acrylnitril/Styrol/Acrylester-Copolymerisate.
- 4. Polymere, die sich von ungesättigten Alkoholen und Aminen bzw. deren Acylderivaten oder Acetalen ableiten, wie Polyvinylalkohol, Polyvinylacetat-, -stearat, -benzoat, -maleat, Polyvinylbutyral, Polyallylphthalat, Polyallylmelamin und deren Copolymere mit anderen Vinylverbindungen, wie ÄthylenNinylacetat-Copolymere.
- 5. Homo- und Copolymere, die sich von Epoxiden ableiten, wie Polyethylenoxid oder die Polymerisate, die sich von Polyglycidylverbindungen ableiten.
- 6. Polyacetale, wie Polyoxymethylen und Polyoxyethylen, sowie solche Polyoxymethylene, die als Comonomeres Ethylenoxyd enthalten.
- 7. Polyphenylenoxyde.
- 8. Polyurethane, Polyimide und Polyharnstoffe.
- 9. Polycarbonate.
- 10. Polysulfone.
- 11. Polyamide und Copolyamide, die sich von Diaminen und Dicarbonsäuren und/oder von Aminocarbonsäuren oder den entsprechenden Lactamen ableiten, wie Polyamid 6, Polyamid 6/6, Polyamid 6/10, Polyamid 11 und Polyamid 12.
- 12. Vernetzte Polymerisate, die sich von Aldehyden einerseits und Phenolen, Harnstoffen und Melaminen andererseits ableiten, wie Phenol-Formaldehyd-, Harnstoff-Formaldehyd- und Melamin-Formaldehydharze.
- 13. Alkydharze, wie Glycerin-Phthalsäure-Harze und deren Gemische mit Melamin-Formaldehydharzen.
- 14. Ungesättigte Polyesterharze, die sich z. B. von Copolyestern gesättigter und ungesättigter Dicarbonsäuren mit mehrwertigen Alkoholen, sowie Vinylverbindungen als Vernetzungsmittel ableiten.
- 15. Natürliche Polymere, wie Cellulose, Gummi, sowie deren polymerhomolog chemisch abgewandelte Derivate, wie Celluloseacetate, -propionate und -butyrate, bzw. die Celluloseether, wie Methylcellulose.
- 16. Thermoplastische Polyester, sowie Gemische der zuvor genannten Polymeren.
- Bevorzugte Bindemittel sind z. B. ein Epoxidharz, ein ungesättigter Polyester, ein Polyacrylat oder -methacrylat, ein Polyimid, ein Polyurethan, ein Polyolefin, ein Polyamid oder ein Polyester.
- Besonders bevorzugt ist das Bindemittel (c) ein Epoxidharz oder ein Epoxidharzgemisch mit (d) einem hitzeaktivierbaren Härter und/oder einem Härtungskatalysator.
- Als Epoxidharze (c) kommen vor allem solche mit durchschnittlich mehr als einer an ein Heteroatom, z. B. an ein S- und vorzugsweise an ein O- oder N-Atom, gebundenen Gruppe der Formel III
- Als Beispiele solcher Harze seien Polyglycidyl- und Poly(ß-methylglycidyl)ester genannt, die sich von aliphatischen, cycloaliphatischen oder aromatischen Polycarbonsäuren ableiten. Beispiele geeigneter Polycarbonsäuren sind Bernsteinsäure, Glutarsäure, Adipinsäsure, Pimelinsäure, Korksäure, Azelainsäure, Sebacinsäure, dimerisierte oder trimerisierte Linolsäure, Tetrahydrophthalsäure, 4-Methyltetrahydrophthalsäure, Hexahydrophthalsäure, 4-Methylhexahydrophthalsäure, Phthalsäure, lso- und Terephthalsäure.
- Weitere Beispiele sind Polyglycidyl- und Poly(ß-methylglycidyl)ether, die durch Umsetzung einer mindestens zwei alkoholische und/oder phenolische Hydroxylgruppen pro Molekül enthaltenden Verbindung mit Epichlorhydrin oder mit Allylchlorid und anschliessende Epoxidierung mit Persäuren erhalten werden.
- Geeignete Polyole sind z. B. Äthylenglykol, Diethylenglykol, Poly(oxyethylen)glykole, Propan-1,2-diol, Poly(oxypropylen)glykole, Propan-1,3-diol, Butan-1,4-diol, Poly(oxytetramethylen)glykole, Pentan-1,5-diol, Hexan-2,4,6-triol, Glycerin, 1,1,1-Trimethylolpropan, Pentaerythrit und Sorbit; Resorcit, Chinit, Bis-(4-hydroxy-cyclohexyl)methan, 2,2-Bis-(4-hydroxycyclohexyl)propan und 1,1-Bis-(hydroxymethyl)cyclohex-3-en; N,N-Bis(2-hydroxyethyl)anilin und 4,4'-Bis(2-hydroxyethylamino)diphenylmethan; Resorcin, Hydrochinon, Bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)methan (Bisphenol F), 2,2-Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propan (Bisphenol A), 2,2-Bis(4-hydroxy-3,5-dibromphenyl)propan (Tetrabrombisphenol A), 1,1,2,2-Tetrakis(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethan, 4,4'-Dihydroxybiphenyl, Bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfon sowie Novolake aus Formaldehyd oder Acetaldehyd und Phenol, Chlorphenol oder Alkylphenolen mit bis zu 9 C-Atomen im Alkyl, besonders Kresol- und Phenol-Novolake.
- Als Poly(N-glycidyl)-Verbindungen kommen durch Dehydrochlorierung von Umsetzungsprodukten aus Epichlorhydrin und Aminen mit mindestens zwei Aminwasserstoffatomen erhaltene Produkte in Betracht. Geeignete Amine sind z. B. Anilin, n-Butylamin, Bis-(4-aminophenyl)methan, 1,3- und 1,4-Xylylendiamin, 1,3- und 1,4-Bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexan und Bis(4-methylaminophenyl)methan. Triglycidylisocyanurat, N,N'-Diglycidylderivate von cyclischen Alkylenharnstoffen, wie Ethylenharnstoff und 1,3-Propylenharnstoff, oder Hydantoinen, wie 5,5-Dimethylhydantoin, sind weitere geeignete derartige Verbindungen.
- Poly(S-glycidyl)-Verbindungen sind z. B. die Di-S-Glycidylderivate von Dithiolen, wie Äthan-1,2-dithiol und Bis-(4-mercaptomethylphonyl)-ether.
- Beispiele für Epoxidharze mit einer oder mehreren Gruppen der Formel 111, in welcher Q und Q2 zusammen eine Gruppe -CH2CH2- oder -CH2CH2CH2- bedeuten, sind Bis(2,3-epoxycyclopentyl)ether, 2,3-Epoxycyclopentylglycidylether, 1,2-Bis(2,3-epoxycyclopentyloxy)ethan, 3,4-Epoxy-6-methylcyclohexylmethyl-3',4'-epoxy-6'-methyicyclohe- xan-carboxylat und 2-(3,4-Epoxy)cyclohexyl-5,5-spiro(3',4'-epoxy)cyclohexan-dioxan.
- Ebenfalls einsetzbar sind Epoxidharze, in welchen die Epoxidgruppen an Heteroatome verschiedener Art gebunden sind, oder in denen einige oder sämtliche Epoxidgruppen mittelständig sind, wie beispielsweise das N,N,O-Triglycidylderivat des 4-Aminophenols, N-Glycidyl-N'-(2-glycidyloxypropyl)-5,5-dimethylhydantoin, Vinylcyclohexendioxid, Limonendioxid und Dicyclopentadiendioxid.
- Besonders bevorzugt setzt man als Komponente (c) gegebenenfalls vorverlängerte Diglycidylether von zweiwertigen Phenolen, vor allem 2,2-Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propan, 2,2-Bis(3,5-dibrom-4-hydroxyphenyl)propan, Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)methan, Bis(4-hydroxycyclohexyl)methan oder 2,2-Bis(4-hydroxycyclohexyl)propan, Polyglycidylether von Novolaken, oder tetraglycidyliertes 4,4'-Diaminodiphenylmethan ein. Ganz besonders bevorzugt sind gegebenenfalls vorverlängerte Diglycidylether von Bisphenol A, Tetrabrom-Bisphenol A oder Bisphenol F, Polyglycidylether von Phenol-Formaldehyd- oder Kresol-Formaldehyd-Novolaken, oder Gemische davon, vor allem Bisphenol-A-diglycidylether mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht von 600 bis 5 000 Dalton.
- Als Härter (d) für Epoxidharze eignen sich an sich beliebige Epoxidharzhärter, wie z. B. Cyanamid, Dicyandiamid, Polycarbonsäuren, Polycarbonsäureanhydride, Polyamine, Polyaminoamide, Addukte aus Aminen und Polyepoxiden und Polyole.
- Geeignete Polycarbonsäuren und ihre Anhydride sind z. B. Phthalsäureanyhdrid, Tetrahydro- und Hexahydrophthalsäureanhydrid, Methyltetrahydrophthalsäureanhydrid, Methylenendomethylentetrahydrophthalsäureanhydrid, Endomethylentetrahydrophthalsäureanhydrid, Hexachlorendomethylentetrahydrophthalsäureanhydrid, Trimellitsäureanhydrid, Pyromellitsäuredianhydrid, Maleinsäureanhydrid, Bernsteinsäureanhydrid, Nonenylbernsteinsäureanhydrid, Dodecenylbernsteinsäureanhydrid, Polysebacinsäurepolyanhydrid und Polyazelainsäurepolyanhydrid sowie die zu den oben genannten Anhydriden gehörenden Säuren..
- Als Beispiele von Polyaminen, die sich als Härtungsmittel eignen, seien aliphatische, cycloaliphatische, aromatische und heterocyclische Polyamine, wie Ethylendiamin, Propan-1,2-diamin, Propan-1,3-diamin, N,N-Diethyleth- ylendiamin, Hexamethylendiamin, Diethylentriamin, Triethylentetramin, Tetraethylenpentamin, N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)-, N-(2-Hydroxypropyl)- und N-(2-Cyanethyl)diethylentriamin, 2,2,4- und 2,4,4-Trimethylhexan-1,6-diamin, m-Xylylendiamin, N,N-Dimethyl- und N,N-Diethylpropan-1,3-diamin, Bis(4-amino-cyclohexyl)methan, 2,2-Bis(4-aminocyclohexyl)propan, 2,2-Bis(4-amino-3-methyxyclohexyl)propan, 3-Aminomethyl-3,5,5-trimethylcyclohexylamin (Isophorondiamin), m- und p-Phenylendiamin, Bis(4-aminophenyl)methan, Bis(4-aminophenyl)sulfon. Anilin-Formaldehydharze und N-(2-Aminoethyl)piperazin genannt. Geeignete Polyaminoamide sind z. B. solche, die aus aliphatischen Polyaminen und dimerisierten oder trimerisierten ungesättigten Fettsäuren hergestellt sind.
- Als Addukte aus Aminen und Polyepoxiden kommen z. B. Addukte aus aliphatischen oder cycloaliphatischen Diaminen, wie 1,6-Hexamethylendiamin, 2,2,4- und 2,4,4-Trimethylhexan-1,6-diamin oder Isophorondiamin und den oben genannten Diglycidylethern in Betracht.
- Als Polyolhärter (d) kommen vor allem ein- oder mehrkernige aromatische Polyole, einschliesslich Novolake, in Betracht, wie Resorcin, Hydrochinon, 2,6-Dihydroxytoluol, Pyrogallol, 1,1,3-Tris(hydroxyphenyl)propan, Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)methan, 2,2-Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propan, Bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfon und 4,4'-Dihydroxybiphenyl sowie Novolake aus Formaldehyd oder Acetaldehyd und Phenol, Chlorphenol oder Alkylphenolen mit bis zu 9 C-Atomen im Alkyl, besonders Kresol- und Phenolnovolake.
- Bevorzugte Härter sind Polycarbonsäureanhydride, wie Norbornendicarbonsäureanhydrid, Tetrahydro-, Hexahydro- und Methyltetrahydrophthalsäureanhydrid, sowie aromatische Polyamine, besonders Bis(4-aminophenyl)methan, Bis(4-aminophenyl)sulfon und m- oder p-Phenylendiamin.
- Die Härter (d) werden in den in der Epoxidharztechnik üblichen Mengen eingesetzt, zweckmässig in solchen Mengen, dass auf ein Äquivalent OH- oder Glycidyloxygruppen etwa 0,7 bis 1,5 Äquivalente funktioneller Gruppen des Härters (d) kommen.
- Als Härtungskatalysatoren (d) können ebenfalls an sich bekannte Verbindungen verwendet werden. Als Beispiele seien genannt: Komplexe von Aminen, besonders tertiären Aminen, wie Monoethylamin, Trimethylamin und Octyldimethylamin, mit Bortrifluorid oder Bortrichlorid, Asparaginsäuremonoester, wie der N-(3-Dimethylamin-propyl)-asparaginsäure-4-methylester, und insbesondere gegebenenfalls substituierte Imidazole, wie Imidazol, Benzimidazol, 1-Methylimidazol, 2-Äthyl-4-methylimidazol, 2-Vinylimidazol, 2-Phenylimidazol, 2-Phenyl-4-methylimidazol, 1-(2,6-Dichlorbenzoyl)-2-phenylimidazol und 1-(2,4,6-Trimethylbenzoyl)-2-phenylimidazol. Imidazole, besonders 2-Phenylimidazol und 2-Ethyl-4-methylimidazol, sind als Härtungskatalysatoren (d) bevorzugt.
- Die erfindungsgemässen Gemische können zusätzlich zur Komponente (d) Härtungsbeschleuniger enthalten. Als Beschleuniger eignen sich z. B. tertiäre Amine, wie Benzyldimethylamin, Tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol, Hexamethylentetramin oder 1,6-Bis(dimethylamino)hexan; aromatische Carbonate, wie Diphenylcarbonat, und Harnstoffderivate, wie N-4-Chlorphenyl-N',N'-dimethylharnstoff (Monuron), N-3-Chlor-4-methylphenyl-N',N'-dimethylharnstoff (Chlortoluron), N-(2-Hydroxyphenyl)-N',N'-dimethylharnstoff und N-(2-Hydroxy-4-nitrophenyi)-N,N-dimethyiharnstoff. Tertiäre Amine, besonders Benzyldimethylamin, sind als Härtungsbeschleuniger (d) bevorzugt.
- Die Komponente (d) und der Beschleuniger werden in den üblichen wirksamen, d. h. für die Härtung der erfindungsgemässen Gemische ausreichenden Mengen eingesetzt. Das Verhältnis der Komponente (d) zum Beschleuniger hängt von der Art der verwendeten Verbindungen, der erforderlichen Härtungsgeschwindigkeit und den im Endprodukt gewünschten Eigenschaften ab und kann vom Fachmann auf dem Gebiet der Epoxidharz-Härtung leicht ermittelt werden.
- Die erfindungsgemässen Gemische können auch weitere bekannte übliche Zusatzstoffe enthalten. Beispiele für solche Zusatzstoffe sind Pigmente, Farbstoffe, Verstärkungsmaterialien, wie Glasfasern, Flammhemmer, reaktive Verdünner für die Epoxidharze, wie Phenyl- und Kresylglycidyläther, Butandioldiglycidyläther und Hexahydrophthalsäurediglycidyläther, Antistatika, Verlaufmittel, Trennmittel, Haftvermittler, Antioxidantien und Lichtschutzmittel.
- Die erfindungsgemässen Gemische finden je nach Eigenschaften z. B. Anwendung als Klebstoffe oder zur Herstellung von Formkörpern, gehärteten Produkten, besonders von Giesskörpern, Laminaten und dünnen Beschichtungen (Filmen) und selbsttragenden Filmen. Hierbei werden übliche Formgebungsverfahren angewendet wie z. B. Spritzguss, Extrusion oder Formpressverfahren. Zum Aufbringen von Beschichtungen auf Oberflächen wird die erfindungsgemässe Beschichtung zweckmässig gelöst und nach der Beschichtung mittels üblicher Methoden das Lösungsmittel entfernt. Geeignete Lösungsmittel, die alleine oder in Gemischen eingesetzt werden können, sind z. B. Ketone, wie Dimethylketon, Diethylketon, Methylisobutylketon, Cyclohexanon, Cyclopentanon, Cycloheptanon, Isophoron, Methoxyhexanon, Acetonylaceton, Acetophenon, Benzylethylketon, 3,3,5-Trimethylcyclohexanon, Mesityloxyd; halogenierte Kohlenwasserstoffe wie Tetrachlorkohlenstoff, Chloroform, Methylenchlorid, Methylenbromid, Bromchlormethan, 1,2-Dichlorethan, 1,1,2-Trichlorethan, 1,1,2,2-Tetrachiorethan. 1,2,3-Trichlorpropan, Perchlorethylen; Alkohole wie Methanol, Ethanol, Propanol, Butanol, Hexanol, Cyclohexanol, Furfurylalkohol, Tetrahydrofurfurylalkohol, Benzylalkohol, monoalkylierte Glykole wie Methylglykol, Ethylglykol, Methyldiglykol, Ethyldiglykol, Butyldiglykol, Triethylenglykolmonomethyl-, monoethyl- oder monobutylether, Glykole wie Ethylen, Propylen- oder Butylenglykol und deren Oligomere wie Triethylenglykol; aliphatische und aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe wie Pentan, Hexan, Cyclohexan, Methylcyclohexan, Benzol, Toluol oder Xylol, Ether wie Diethylether, Dibutylether, Tetrahydrofuran, Dioxan, Ethylenglykoldimethylether, Diethylenglykoldimethylether, Carbonsäureester wie Methyl-, Ethyl-, Propyl-, Butyl- und Isopropyl- sowie Phenylacetat, Propionsäuremethylester, Glykolsäurebutylester, Benzoesäuremethylester, Ethylglykolmono- oder -diacetat, Methyl- oder Ethylglykolsäureacetat; Lactone wie Butyro-, Valerolacton; Säureamide wie Dimethylformamid, Dimethylacetamid, Hexamethylphosphorsäuretriamid; Sulfone wie z. B. Dimethylsuffon, Dibutylsuffon oder Tetramethylensulfon.
- Geeignete Trägermaterialien sind übliche Werkstoffe, die vorzugsweise elektrisch nicht leitend sind. Beispiele sind Papier, Holz, Kunststoffe, Glas, Keramik und Halbleiter.
- Die Härtung der erfindungsgemässen Gemische die zusätzlich ein Epoxidharz als Bindemittel enthalten, erfolgt im allgemeinen durch Erhitzen auf Temperaturen zwischen 80 und 200°C, besonders 100 und 180°C. Dabei werden die Verbindungen der Formel 1 mit OH oder Glycidylgruppen in unzerstörter Form und feiner Verteilung in das Netzwerk der gehärteten Produkte einpolymerisiert, ohne dass dadurch die mechanischen Eigenschaften der gehärteten Produkte beeinträchtigt werden.
- Es wurde überraschend gefunden, dass aus den erfindungsgemässen Mischungen bei Bestrahlung mit aktinischem Licht, besonders UV-Licht, eine Freisetzung von fein dispergiertem elementarem nullwertigem Palladium erfolgt. Als Lichtquellen eignen sich beispielsweise Xenonlampen, Argonlampen, Wolframlampen, Kohlelichtbögen, Metallhalogenid- und Metallichtbogenlampen, wie Niederdruck-, Mitteldruck- und Hochdruck-Quecksilberlampen, Argonionen-Laser, frequenzverdoppelte Nd-YAG-Laser (yttrium-aluminium garnet) und UV-Laser.
- Die Bestrahlung kann auch durch eine Photomaske vorgenommen werden. Hierbei erhält man Muster aus nullwertigem Palladium.
- Die nach dem Bestrahlen mit aktinischem Licht erhaltenen Überzüge oder Muster eignen sich vorzüglich für die stromlose Metallabscheidung, wobei elektrisch leitende metallische Überzüge oder Muster erhalten werden. Die stromlose Metallabscheidung kann mit an sich bekannten Metallisierungsbädern und nach üblichen Methoden durchgeführt werden. Als Metalle eignen sich beispielsweise Kupfer, Nickel, Kobalt, Silber und Zinn oder Kobalt-Phosphor- und Kobaft-Nickel-Legierungen.
- Ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ist die Verwendung der erfindungsgemässen Mischungen zur stromlosen Metallabscheidung und ein Verfahren zur Metallisierung von Oberflächen eines elektrisch nicht leitenden Materials durch stromlose Metallabscheidung, dadurch gekennzeichnet dass man einen Formkörper, eine Schicht der erfindungsgemässen Mischung in Form eines selbsttragenden Filmes oder eine auf ein Trägermaterial aufgebrachte erfindungsgemässe Schicht bestrahlt und hierbei nullwertiges Palladium erzeugt, und danach durch stromlose Metallabscheidung in einem Metallabscheidungsbad eine Metallschicht aufbringt.
- Mit dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren können Muster mit hoher Auflösung erzielt werden. Solche Produkte können z. B. als gedruckte Schaltungen verwendet werden.
- Die nachfolgenden Beispiele erläutern die Erfindung näher.
- A) Herstellung von Palladiumkomplexen
- 15 g PdC12 werden in einer Lösung aus 10,7 g NaCI in 65 ml Wasser unter kräftigem Rühren zum Sieden erhitzt, bis das Palladiumchlorid vollständig gelöst ist. Dann wird das Wasser abdestilliert. Der Rückstand wird in 200 ml Methanol aufgenommen und auf 60°C erwärmt. 105,9 g Dibenzalaceton-bis-p,p'-diglycidyläther und 42,8 g Natriumacetat - 3H20 werden zugesetzt und es werden nochmals 175 ml Methanol zugegeben. Nach weiteren 15 Minuten bei 60°C wird die Mischung abgekühlt. Es entsteht ein Niederschlag, der unter Argon abfiltriert und einmal mit 100 ml Methanol, dreimal mit je 100 ml Wasser und noch zweimal mit 100 ml Methanol gewaschen wird. Anschliessend wird das Produkt bei 50°C im Vakuum getrocknet. Zur völligen Entfernung von restlichem Dibenzalaceton-bis-p,p'-diglycidyläther werden die Kristalle nochmals in 700 ml Methanol suspendiert und unter Argon abfiltriert. Anschliessend wird im Vakuum getrocknet. Man erhält 100,7 violetter Kristalle (97 % der Theorie). Zersetzungsbereich: 120 - 160°C. Die Analyse ergibt für q einen Wert von 3,2.
- Die Herstellung erfolgt gemäss J. Chem. Soc. D1970, 1065.
- Beispiel 1: 25 g eines Polymeren aus 80 Mol- % N(5-Methyl-3-oxa-4-oxo-hexan-5-yl)dimethylmaleinimid (X) und 20 Mol- % Ethylacrylat werden in 140 ml Cyclohexanon gelöst und mit 7,11 g Komplex II versetzt. Aus der erhaltenen Lösung wird eine 25 µm dicke Schicht auf einer Polyesterfolie hergestellt und das Lösungsmittel im Umluftofen entfernt. Danach bestrahlt man unter einer Photomaske 100 Sekunden lang mit einer 440 W Mitteldruckquecksilberlampe. Nach der Belichtung wird in einem Kupferabscheidungsbad der Zusammensetzung 12 g/I CuSO4 - 5H20, 8 g/I Formaldehyd, 20 g/1 Ethylendiamintetraessigsäure, 15 g/I NaOH und 1 g/l Octylphenolpolyethylenglykolether, behandelt. An den belichteten Stellen wird ein Bild aus Kupfer erhalten.
- Beispiel 3: Beispiel 1 wird wiederholt. Nach der Belichtung wird zusätzlich in 1,1,1-Trichlorethan entwickelt. Man erhält ein Reliefbild aus dem photopolymerisierten Polymer X, das durch Behandlung im Kupferabscheidungsbad verkupfert wird.
- Beispiel 4: 0,75 g Komplex I werden mit 5 g eines mit Bisphenol-A vorverlängerten Bisphenol-A-diglycidylethers (Epoxidequivalentgewicht 0,69 Mol Epoxid/kg), 0,75 g Cis-Polybutadien (Mg - 25 000 Dalton, mit Carboxylgruppen funktionalisiert) und 0,75 g Norbornendicarbonsäureanhydrid in 15 ml Cyclohexanon gelöst. Aus dieser Lösung werden 15 µm dicke Filme auf eine Polyesterfolie aufgebracht, 1 Stunde bei 80°C im Umluftofen getrocknet und 3 Stunden bei 110°C gehärtet. Der gehärtete Film wird 200 Sekunden mit einer 5 kW Quecksilberlampe unter einer Photomaske bestrahlt. Nach der Behandlung im Kupferabscheidungsbad gemäss Beispiel 1 erhält man ein glänzendes Kupferbild.
