Definitions
- the invention relates to a swirl outlet according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- a swirl disk covering the supply air connection is provided, into which a few lamellae are stamped and bent up from the plane of the swirl disk.
- a further disk with corresponding openings is arranged on the swirl disk, which can be rotated in order to make the air passage cross section of the openings connected to the lamellae adjustable. If the outlet openings are opened by adjusting this second pane, the air jets emerge at an angle to the ceiling surface under the effect of the slanted slats and, due to the Coanda effect, lie against the ceiling. Due to the large angular spacing of the lamellae, the air jets emerging tangentially from the various outlet openings do not have any significant influence.
- the outlet openings can be covered so far that the slats remain largely without a distracting effect on the emerging air jets and these are blown into the room essentially perpendicular to the ceiling plane. In this position, the outlet is suitable for supplying warm air.
- the second adjustable disc required for adjustment between cold air and warm air operation makes the outlet complex.
- the supply air supplied through the supply air nozzle meets the swirl disk vertically, which causes turbulence in the supply air flow during deflection by the fins, in particular on the outer circumference, which causes disturbing noises.
- the invention has for its object to provide a swirl outlet, which is simple and therefore inexpensive and causes less flow noise.
- the swirl outlet consists of a cylindrical inlet connection and a swirl disk which is placed on the outlet-side end of the inlet connection and closes it off. Lamellae are punched into the swirl disk, which are arranged radially in a circular ring and are bent out of the plane of the swirl disk.
- the swirl outlet is extremely inexpensive to manufacture, since it only consists of the simply shaped air inlet and the swirl disk as a simple stamped sheet metal part. The entire swirl effect is generated by the swirl disc that closes the supply air connection.
- the axial length of the supply air nozzle can therefore be adapted to the installation conditions, in particular a very short length of the supply air nozzle is sufficient for the function of the swirl outlet.
- the lamellae which are arranged in large numbers and with a small mutual distance on the circular ring, produce a strong rotational movement of the emerging supply air, which is associated with a high induction of the room air.
- This high induction causes the blown supply air to mix quickly with the room air.
- Cold air can therefore also be blown in without it being necessary to hold it on the ceiling using the Coanda effect.
- the swirl outlet must therefore not necessarily be installed flush with the ceiling, which significantly increases its possible uses.
- the strong induction effect also makes it possible to supply air with a large temperature difference compared to the room air. Due to the large temperature difference, the air conditioning of the room can be achieved with lower supply air volumes. Energy can thus be saved in the air conditioning system and fans of smaller size and lower power can optionally be used.
- the supply air nozzle uniformly applies supply air to the swirl disk over its entire surface.
- An optimal air flow through the swirl disk can thus be achieved.
- the diameter of the supply air nozzle is somewhat smaller than the diameter of the swirl disk and only widens in the direction of flow to the outer diameter of the circular ring of the lamellae immediately before the swirl disk. This expansion takes place with an essentially constant radius of curvature. Due to this expansion of the supply air connection, the incoming supply air is already directed radially outwards at the edge when it hits the swirl disk. As a result, good action is also exerted on the outer edge regions of the swirl disk without disturbing flow separation effects occurring in the edge regions, which deteriorate the air throughput and contribute to the generation of noise.
- the swirl disk is preferably detachably attached to the outlet-side end of the supply air connection.
- this is favorable for the production and on the other hand also offers advantages with the built-in swirl outlet.
- the swirl disc can be easily removed for cleaning.
- additional or different flow resistances can also be retrofitted to the built-in swirl outlet in the supply air connection, insofar as this is necessary without having to open the ceiling.
- Supply air spigot and swirl plate can be made of metal or plastic.
- the supply air spigot is a plastic part, while the swirl plate is made of metal, e.g. Steel, aluminum, brass or the like. Is punched.
- the swirl outlet consists of a supply air connector 10 and a swirl disk 12.
- the supply air connector 10 is designed as a cylindrical tube that widens at its outlet end with a constant radius of curvature 14 to form a radial, flat section 16 that is perpendicular to the axis of the supply air connector 10.
- a cylindrical edge section 18 of small axial depth adjoins the flat section 16.
- the entire supply air connector 10 is preferably made of plastic.
- the swirl disk 12 is a circular sheet metal disk which is placed on the cylindrical edge section 18 of the supply air connector 10 inserted into the ceiling.
- the swirl disk 12 extends radially beyond the cylindrical edge section 18 and is fastened outside the edge section 18, preferably snapped onto the outside of the edge section 18.
- the swirl disk 12 thus completely covers the supply air connector 10, so that there is an elegant appearance from the room side.
- the seal between the supply air connector 10 and the swirl disk 12 is effected by a sealing ring 20 made of rubber or foam, which is inserted inside the cylindrical edge section 18 between the flat section 16 of the supply air connector 10 and the swirl disk 12.
- the fins 22 are punched out along a radial side edge and bent out of the plane of the swirl disk 12 along the other radial side edge in such a way that they protrude into the supply air connector 10 at an angle of approximately 45 ° to the air flow direction.
- the lamellae 22 have essentially the same width over their entire radial extent, which corresponds approximately to their mean mutual angular distance.
- the lamellae 22 extend with their radially outer ends up to the sealing ring 20, that is to say they engage radially beyond the diameter of the inlet air connector 10 in the flat section 16.
- the diameter of the inlet air connector 10 is approximately three-quarters of the outer diameter of the circular ring of the lamellae 22.
- the inner diameter of the The circular ring of the lamellae 22 is selected such that a space which additionally promotes induction with the ambient air remains free inside the air flow emerging from the swirl disc 12.
- the outer diameter of the circular ring of the fins 22 is approximately 2.5 times the inner diameter of this circular ring.
- the drawing shows an embodiment of the swirl outlet on a scale of 1: 1.
