Definitions
- the invention relates to a device of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.
- the printed text is printed on a paper strip that can be unwound from a supply roll, the printed section of the paper strip being cut off automatically after the printing process or cut so that only a narrow tear-off bar remains for the connection between the printed section and the remaining part of the paper strip remains.
- Printers with a device of the generic type are already in use, in which the knife is moved into an initial position by an adjustment drive against the force of a spring and locked there; for the cutting process, the lock is released so that the knife is moved in the cutting direction by the spring.
- the knife hits a stop which limits the path of the knife in the cutting direction.
- a further stop is provided which can be pivoted into the path of the knife by means of an adjusting device and which limits the path of the knife in the cutting direction so that the desired tear-off web is retained.
- the slide track is designed as a closed, approximately circular track and is eccentric to the axis of rotation of the slide plate, so that the slide block and the associated knife perform its full movement in the cutting direction and back to the initial position with each full rotation of the slide plate - starting from the starting position .
- the sliding block can assume two positions, which differ in that in a first position the connecting axis between sliding block and knife lies radially further outside the center line of the sliding track than in the other position of the sliding block; this ensures that the stroke interval for the same total stroke is more or less offset in the cutting direction, depending on the position of the sliding block. This, in turn, allows the knife to be moved optionally into two different end positions, one cutting, the other cutting the paper strip.
- the sliding block has an essentially oval outline shape with a width corresponding to the width of the sliding track and a larger length in comparison, so that the sliding block within the sliding track cannot change from a preselected control position to the other control position.
- the slide track in its area corresponding to the initial position of the knife has a widening which corresponds at least to the length of the slide block. In this area, the sliding block can be switched from the first control position to the wide control position, as will be described in more detail later. This changeover is carried out automatically by the choice of the direction of rotation of the link plate via a system of control surfaces arranged on the link plate and the link block, as will also be explained in more detail.
- the solution according to the invention is mechanically very simple since it manages with a single drive, for example a drive motor that can be operated in two directions of rotation, and because critical components, such as springs, are not used.
- the device according to the invention works very quietly, since stops on which the knife strikes with force are not used.
- An electric motor which can be operated in both directions of rotation and which is connected to the link disk via a belt drive preferably serves as the drive for the link disk; the control of this electric motor can also be extremely simple. It only needs to enable the selection of the direction of rotation and a stopping of the electric motor at the angular position of the link plate corresponding to the initial position of the knife. Based on this angular position, the selected direction of rotation of the electric motor alone decides whether the paper strip is cut or cut.
- the link plate consists of a transparent material.
- the function of the device according to the invention in particular the position of the sliding block in the sliding track, can be inspected at any time, for example in the event of a malfunction.
- the knife has a cutting edge consisting of two cutting edge sections, the two cutting edge sections each running obliquely outwards from the center of the cutting edge in the direction of the cutting movement.
- the paper strip is cut inward from the two outer edges, so that there is a symmetrical cutting force load for the knife and the guide means used to guide it.
- the tear-off bar is in the middle of the paper strip remains so that tearing off in both directions is equally possible.
- the cutting edge has a recess in the cutting center of a width corresponding to the desired width of the tear-off web. In this way, the width of the tear-off web is always the same, even if there are slight differences in stroke.
- the knife 2 shown in Fig. 1 has approximately the shape of an upside down T. It is mounted in the direction of the double arrow 4 in a manner not shown in a printer housing.
- the cutting edge 6 of the knife 2 has two cutting edge sections 8, 10, which each run obliquely outwards from the center of the cutting edge in the direction of the cutting movement 12.
- the cutting edge 6 has a recess 14 in the center of the cutting edge, which has an opening width which corresponds approximately to the desired width of the tear-off web 16 which remains when cutting a paper strip 18 (see FIG. 4).
- the cutting edge 6 moves during the cutting process over a crosspiece 20 on which a counter-cutting edge 22 cooperating with the cutting edge 6 is formed.
- the upper side of the cross bar 20 and thus the counter cutting edge 22 is convexly curved, so that the cutting sections 8, 10 always bear against the cutting edge 22 with a certain contact pressure according to the scissor principle.
- the convex curvature of the counter cutting edge 22 is drawn in a greatly exaggerated manner in FIG. 2 for reasons of a clearer illustration.
- the cutting plane 24 is defined by the underside of the knife 2. It can be disregarded here that the knife and / or the crosspiece 20 due to the convex curvature of the counter cutting edge 22 during cutting perform a mutual, slight evasive movement so that the cutting plane 24 is not absolutely fixed.
- the paper strip 18 is placed perpendicular to the cutting plane 24 against the counter cutting edge 22 and cut or cut by the knife 2 in the cutting plane 24, as will be explained further below.
- a link disk 26 which is arranged above the cutting plane, is used to drive the knife 2 in the direction of the double arrow 4. It is provided on its underside with an essentially circular slide track 28 which has a widening 30 which extends outward in the radial direction.
- the link plate 26 is drive-connected to an electric motor 34 via a drive belt 32.
- a sliding block 38 which is rotatably mounted on the top of the knife 2 via an axis 36, engages in the sliding block 28.
- the sliding block 38 is approximately drop-shaped, its greatest width corresponds to the width of the sliding track 28, but its greatest length is greater than this.
- the head region of the sliding block 38 has approximately a semicircular plan . while the part adjoining to the rear has a contour that largely conforms to the outer side surface of the slide track 28. Due to the selected layout of the sliding block 38, the sliding block 38 always maintains a tangential position to the sliding track when entering the sliding track, as long as it is in the non-expanded part of the sliding track 28.
- the sliding track 28 is arranged eccentrically to the turning axis 40 of the sliding disk 26, so that the sliding block 38 and the knife 2 connected thereto perform a movement in the direction of the double arrow 4 when the sliding disk 26 rotates.
- the knife 2 has its extreme end position in the direction of the cutting movement 12, in which the entire cutting edge 6 passes the counter-cutting edge 22 and has cut off the paper strip 18.
- the axis 36 of the sliding block 38 is laterally offset on the sliding block 38 in the width direction by the amount e from the center.
- the distance of the axis 36 from the axis of rotation is accordingly a + e if the distance of the axis of rotation 40 from the center line of the slide track 28 is equal to a. This applies to the case shown in FIG. 1, in which the sliding block 38 points to the left with its head region.
- the sliding block 38 assumes a position in which its head region points to the right.
- the axis 36 is located radially within the center line of the link path 28, so that the distance of the axis 36 from the axis of rotation 40 is 40a. It is accordingly smaller by the amount 2e than in the case shown in FIG. 1.
- the knife 2 reaches the end position shown in FIG. 3, in which the recess 14 in the middle of the cutting edge has not yet passed the counter-cutting edge 24, so that the paper strip 18 has not been cut through in its central region.
- This area which has not been cut through serves as a tear-off web 16 (see FIG. 4).
- FIG. 5 shows in an enlarged perspective view the sliding block 38 with the axis 36, via which it is rotatably connected to the knife 2. It can also be seen here that the axis 36 is offset laterally by the amount e from the center line of the sliding block 38.
- a recess 42 is provided, the lateral boundary surfaces of which serve as control surfaces 44; they interact with control surfaces 46, which are formed on a control finger 48 arranged on the inner side surface of the slide track 28.
- the link plate 26 and the link block 38 have been shown in FIG. 5 for the sake of clarity in a mutual position in which the control surfaces 44 and 46 are disengaged.
- FIGS. 6 and 7 The operation of the device is shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 in different phases a to h. Only the reference symbols required for the respective explanation have been included.
- 6a the sliding block 38 is in its initial position, in which its distance from the axis of rotation of the sliding plate 26 is the smallest. This position of the sliding block 38 corresponds to an initial position of the knife 2, in which it is out of engagement with the paper strip, so that it can be transported further unhindered during the printing process.
- the link disk 26 rotates in the direction of the arrow 50
- the control finger 48 comes into contact with the control surfaces 44 formed on the link block 38.
- the link block 38 is set to an angular position in which its head region moves into the link path 28 (Fig. 6b, 6c).
- the rotation of the sliding block 38 about its axis 36 is made possible by the fact that the sliding track 28 has a widening 30 in its area corresponding to the starting position of the knife 2, which must correspond at least to the length of the sliding block 38 so that it can adjust to any angular position.
- the sliding track 28 has a widening 30 in its area corresponding to the starting position of the knife 2, which must correspond at least to the length of the sliding block 38 so that it can adjust to any angular position.
- FIG. 6d in particular, in this position of the sliding block 38, its axis 36 is located radially outside the center line 52 of the sliding track 28.
- the sliding block 38 reaches its end position (FIG. 6e) in which it is Distance to the axis of rotation 40 of the link plate 26 -a + e. is; As has already been explained with reference to FIG. 1, this position corresponds to the end position of the knife 2 during the cutting process.
- This end position corresponds to the end position of the knife 2 during the cutting operation, as has already been explained with reference to FIG. 3.
- the link block 38 leaves the link path 28 (FIGS. 7f, 7g).
- the control finger 48 comes to bear against the control surfaces 44 of the sliding block 38 and in turn rotates the latter into an angular position which causes it to enter the sliding track 28 constant direction of rotation of the link plate 26 allowed.
- the sliding block 38 is pivoted via the control surfaces 54, 56 in a manner explained with reference to FIG. 6a into an angular position, which in turn enables it to enter the sliding track 28 with the head region first.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1 eine schematische Draufsicht auf eine Einrichtung zum An- und Abschneiden eines als Kassenbon dienenden Papierstreifens. im Abschneidebetrieb;
- Fig. 2 einen Schnitt gemäß der Linie II-II in Fig. 1;
- Fig. 3 eine Draufsicht gemäß Fig. 1 im Anschneidebetrieb;
- Fig. 4 einen angeschnittenen Papierstreifen;
- Fig. 5 eine Einzelheit der Einrichtung gemäß den Fig. 1 bis 3;
- Fig. 6 eine Bewegungsfolge der Einrichtung gemäß den Fig. 1 bis 3 im Abschneidebetrieb;
