Definitions

  • the invention relates to a closure device made of plastic for a container for flowable goods, on which a cover plate with a passage having a cap is attached, which has an upwardly open recess in which a cap cover is arranged as a closure member, on the underside of which support and Pivoting means are attached, by means of which the cap cover is supported non-rotatably about the central longitudinal axis of the closure device and can be pivoted about an axis perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis, and wherein stops are provided in the recess against which the cap cover rests in its closed or open position, one side of which serves as an actuator and the other side is provided with a laterally opening outlet opening, which is closed in the closed position of the cap lid by the upper edge of the recess in the cap under tension, the side of the cap lid serving for actuation in Sc locking position is at a distance above the cover plate forming the bottom of the recess.
  • Closure devices of the aforementioned known type are either screwed onto the spout or the neck of the container by means of a screw thread or connected to the container neck by means of a snap lock, with catch cams engaging under corresponding projections on the outside of the neck of the container so that the closure device sits tightly on the container .
  • the flowable material which can be dispensed with the aid of such closure devices can consist of liquids or small granular or spherical particles, such as, for.
  • pills containing pharmaceutical active ingredients, granular, dried or liquid spices or foods such as. B. Ketchup.
  • Such closure devices must therefore ensure a secure sealing of the container contents to the outside with a pleasing appearance.
  • Such closure devices are mass-produced articles, the economical manufacture of which must be ensured.
  • a closure device which consists of a rocker arm which is pivotably mounted in an upper recess of a cap at a distance above the cover plate of the cap.
  • the lateral outlet opening in this lever is connected via a channel extending partially in this lever in the open position of the rocker arm to a tubular outlet nozzle which projects from the cover plate of the cap and forms the passage for the contents of the container.
  • This outlet port is closed by a sealing cap with a plug arranged in it on the underside of the rocker arm in its closed position.
  • the rocker arm is provided with rounded projections on the sides which engage in corresponding lateral recesses in the parallel opposite side walls of the recess and form the pivot axis for the rocker arm.
  • the lever arm for actuating the rocker arm by exerting a downward pressure by means of the operator's finger is shorter than the other lever arm of the rocker arm associated with the outlet opening, so that the forces to be exerted on the rocker arm are unnecessarily high. Furthermore, it is not ensured that impurities can get into the recess in the cap under the lever-like closure and, as a result, come into contact with the contents of the container in the open position of the closure and possibly even into the container itself and / or hinder the unimpeded actuation of the closure.
  • the shape of the closure is extremely complicated, so that there are relatively high tool costs for the production of the closure.
  • Another disadvantage of this known closure is that the pretension for sealing the outlet opening in the closed position of the closure can only be achieved in that the distance of the outlet opening from the vertical central axis of the sealing cap provided on the underside of the lever-like closure for the outlet nozzle is somewhat larger is dimensioned as the distance of this central axis from the inner wall of the recess in the cap opposite the outlet opening in the closed position.
  • a closure cap for bottles for the controlled dispensing of liquids which consists of two parts molded from plastic, one of which is tightly attached to the bottle and the other one pivotably arranged in the cap Forms lid, which can be snapped into the closed or open position by finger pressure on the rear part of the lid.
  • An opening in the cap communicates with an outlet opening in the lid when it is in the open position. The connection is broken when the lid is closed.
  • the cover is provided on the underside with support and pivoting means, by means of which the cap cover cannot be rotated about the central longitudinal axis of the closure device, but pivots about an axis perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis is cash.
  • the cap sitting on the bottle has a recess in the top thereof for receiving the cap lid.
  • a pair of mutually opposed vertical wall portions in the recess of the cap have U-shaped bearing surfaces and arcuate ribs, the center of curvature of which is the axis of the U-shaped bearing surface.
  • Arc-shaped segments in connection with the bearing surfaces form the pivoting device for pivotally receiving and holding within the recess of the cap when the closure member is inserted into the cap.
  • the closure member has a downwardly extending central part with a pair of arcuate bearing parts which are formed on opposite sides and a pair of axial stub shafts.
  • the rounded lower edges of the arcuate bearing members engage in the rounded inner edges of the arcuate ribs of the cap and press the vertical wall parts of the cap elastically outwards and come to the lower Edges of the arcuate ribs to the system, which hold the closure member securely pivoted, the stub shafts sitting firmly in the bearing approaches of the cap.
  • the invention has for its object to improve a closure device of the aforementioned type in such a way that the closure member securely prevents the ingress of contaminants into the space between the closure member and the cap in any operating position of the closure member and easy actuation of the closure member at all times secure sealing of the outlet opening is ensured in the closed position.
  • the construction of the closure device should be as simple as possible, be able to be produced with the least possible amount of material and have a pleasing appearance. After all, the locking device should always be reliable.
  • the cap cover has a circumferential edge on its circumference, which projects downward and protrudes into the open recess of the cap, that the outer surface of the edge of the cap cover has the shape of a disk-shaped central spherical surface section, whose center of curvature is halfway up the disc-shaped spherical surface section on the pivot axis of the cap lid, that the lateral outlet opening is located directly below the underside of the cap lid, essentially in the upper half of the height of the lid rim, that the circumferential lid rim is elastic in the radial direction, that the cap wall at the upper edge of the recess is provided with a circumferential inner recess which is essentially dome-shaped and corresponding to the lid edge, so that the edge of the cap lid is in the corresponding dome-shaped recess d he cap wall is inserted with a snap fit under radial preload and is pivotally guided.
  • closure devices are illustrated which, as is known per se, can be screwed or placed onto the neck of a container (not shown) surrounding the opening by means of a thread or by means of a latching device, which preferably consist of plastic, but also of glass or metal can.
  • the container contains a flowable material, such as. B. liquid, cream-like, granulated, powder-like or similar substances that are used at the table, in the household or for cosmetic or industrial purposes.
  • a closure device 10 is shown, the closure cap 11 is provided with a coaxial fastening socket 12, which can be screwed tightly with an internal thread 13 onto a corresponding external thread on the container neck.
  • a coaxial fastening socket 12 which can be screwed tightly with an internal thread 13 onto a corresponding external thread on the container neck.
  • the closure cap 11 has a cover plate 14 which lies tightly on the opening of the neck of the container.
  • the cover plate 14 has in its center a passage opening 15, through the center of which the main axis x of the closure device extends and through which the container contents can pass into a recess 16 in the closure cap 11 lying above the cover plate 14.
  • the cap wall 18, which extends from the cover plate 14 to the upper edge 17 of the recess 16, has an inner undercut recess 26 which is concavely curved in the shape of a spherical cap and which thus corresponds to the central disc-shaped cutout of a spherical surface, whose axis of symmetry is the main axis x of the closure device.
  • a cap cover 19 is inserted in the region of its upper edge 17 and is provided with a circumferential cover edge 20 which extends into the recess.
  • the outer surface 20a of the lid edge 20 of the cap cover 19 corresponds to the shape of a disk-shaped, central spherical surface section, the center of curvature 21 of which is approximately half the height of the disk-shaped spherical surface section on a pivot axis y of the cap cover 19 and whose radius of curvature corresponds approximately to that of the spherical cutout 26.
  • the lid edge 20 there is a lateral outlet opening 22 directly below the underside of the cap cover 19 substantially in the upper half of the height of the lid edge 20. This ensures that the cap cover is also in its open position, not shown, in which the outlet opening 22 is above the upper edge 17 of the cap 11 is completely sealed against the upper edge 17, so that dust or other dirt particles have no possibility to penetrate between the cap lid 19 and the cap 11 into the recess 16.
  • the all-round tight contact of the outer surface of the lid edge 20 in the concave recess 26 of the recess 16 also ensures that dirt particles, which should have attached to the outer surface 20a of its edge 20 in the open position of the cap lid, in the region of the upper edge 17 of the recess 16 are stripped again when the cap lid 19 is closed.
  • the circumferential lid edge 20 is designed to be elastic in the radial direction and rests with radial prestress on the inner wall 18 of the recess 16 of the container cap, while the cap wall 18 surrounding the recess 16 is essentially rigid.
  • This elastic prestressing of the lid edge 20 with respect to the recess 26 of the recess 16 therefore achieves a secure sealing of the same with respect to the recess 26 extending over the entire circumference of the lid edge 20. Since an undercut inevitably results from the spherical cap-shaped recess 26 of the inner wall 18 of the recess 16, the captive nature of the cap lid 19 inserted into the container cap is ensured while at the same time ensuring its pivotability and its sealing with respect to the container cap.
  • the frictional resistance between the cap lid and the container cap is essentially always the same, so that irritations due to changing frictional resistance are excluded for the user.
  • support and pivoting means are attached to the underside of the cap cover 19, by means of which the cap cover cannot be rotated in the closure cap 11 relative to the bottom of the recess 16 formed by the cover plate 14, but is pivotally supported.
  • these support and pivoting means consist of a pair of support cheeks 23a, 23b, which extend parallel to the pivoting plane of the cap cover 19 at a distance from one another and are supported on the bottom of the recess 16 formed by the cover plate 14.
  • the free ends 23c of the support cheeks 23a, 23b resting on the cover plate 14 are staggered in a circular arc.
  • the center of curvature of the circular free ends 23c of the support cheeks 23a, 23b lies on the pivot axis y of the cap cover 19, the support point between the arcuate end 23c of the support cheeks 23a, 23b on the flat top of the cover plate 14 in each position of the cap cover 19 on the middle Cross-sectional plane of the closure device lies, which is indicated in Fig. 2 by the section line II. It can also be seen from FIG.
  • the support cheeks 23a, 23b extend with a larger part 23d from the underside of the side of the cap cover which is used to actuate the cap cover, thus facing away from the outlet opening 22, in the direction of the cover plate 14, but also with a smaller one Part 23e are connected to the underside of the cap cover 19 facing the outlet opening 22. Therefore, the support cheeks 23a, 23b intersect the cross-sectional plane extending through the pivot axis y of the cap cover 19 at right angles. At the same time, it can be seen that the top of the cap cover 19 and the lower edge of the circumferential, downward-facing cover edge 20 lie in planes which are arranged symmetrically to the pivot axis y, i.e. run at equal distances from each other parallel to each other.
  • guide means are provided for the support cheeks 23a, 23b of the cap cover 19.
  • these guide means consist of a pair of guide ribs 24a, 24b, which is arranged parallel to the pivoting plane of the cap cover 19.
  • One of the two guide ribs 24a, 24b is arranged close to one of the mutually opposite inner sides of the two support cheeks 23a, 23b.
  • the support cheeks 23a, 23b and the guide ribs 24a, 24b are arranged on diametrically opposite sides of the passage opening 15.
