- Die Erfindung betrifft ein Vlies aus Kunststofffasern der im Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 genannten Art.
- Vliese der betreffenden Art werden häufig als Futter für Schuhe, insbesondere Sportschuhe, verwendet, deren Schaft aus Leder besteht, um dadurch das Oberleder zu verstärken, schwache Stellen im Oberleder auszugleichen und insgesamt einen besseren Stand der Schuhe zu erzielen. Ein für diesen Zweck verwendetes Vlies muss darüber hinaus wasserdampf- und luftdurchlässig sein.
- Ein bekanntes Vlies der betreffenden Art, das auf seiner Rückseite mit einem durch Wärme aktivierbaren Klebstoff versehen ist, hat den Nachteil, dass der wärmeaktivierbare Klebstoff bei seiner Verklebung unter Wärme und Druck dazu neigt, in das Vlies tief einzudringen, wodurch er für die Verklebung verlorengeht und wodurch ausserdem die Gefahr besteht, dass der Klebstoff so weit durchschlägt, insbesondere an dünnen Stellen des Vlieses, dass das Vlies dort stärker transparent ist als an dickeren Stellen, was zur Folge hat, dass der andersfarbige Untergrund, auf den das Vlies aufgeklebt ist, z. B. eine Leder- oder Kunstlederrückseite, durchscheint und insgesamt ein fleckiges oder ungleichmässiges Aussehen entsteht.
- Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, diese Nachteile zu vermeiden und ein Vlies der betreffenden Art zu schaffen, das in der Lage ist, bei Aufbringen auf die Rückseite von Schuhoberleder oder dergleichen eine Verstärkung des Oberleders und einen besseren Stand der Schuhe zu bewirken und schwache Stellen im Oberleder auszugleichen, ohne dass ein ungleichmässiges oder fleckiges Aussehen des Vlieses nach der Befestigung entsteht, dabei gleichzeitig flexibel, leicht, weich und wasserdampf- und luftdurchlässig ist.
- Die der Erfindung zugrundeliegende Aufgabe wird durch die im Kennzeichen des Anspruchs 1 angegebene Lehre gelöst.
- Die gemäss der Erfindung vorgesehene Schicht von Hohlkugeln hat insbesondere die Aufgabe, die im Bereich der in der Oberfläche des Vlieses in der Regel durch Prägeverfestigung unter Hitze und Druck gebildeten Vertiefungen zumindest teilweise auszufüllen und die im Bereich dieser Vertiefungen dünneren Vliesbereiche zu verstärken. Diese Verstärkung führt nicht nur zu der gewünschten erhöhten Festigkeit und damit zur Fähigkeit der Erhöhung der Steifigkeit bei Aufbringen z.B. auf die Innenseite eines Schuhoberleders, sondern verhindert auch ein Eindringen des Klebstoffes, insbesondere des Schmelzklebstoffes, in das Vlies und damit ein ungleichmässiges Durchscheinen einer andersfarbigen Unterlage, z. B. des Oberleders. Darüber hinaus hat sich gezeigt, dass die Spalt- und Aufribbeleigenschaften verbessert sind.
- Die Schicht von kleinen Hohlkugeln kann die Vertiefungen in der Oberfläche des Vlieses ganz oder teilweise ausfüllen. Grundsätzlich ist es im Rahmen der Erfindung durchaus möglich, auf beiden Seiten des Vlieses eine Schicht gemäss der Erfindung vorzusehen, insbesondere dann, wenn sich auch auf beiden Seiten Vertiefungen in der Oberfläche befinden. Im Bereich der erhabenen Stellen zwischen den Vertiefungen kann die Schicht von kleinen Hohlkugeln sehr dünn sein, sie kann dort sogar ganz entfallen, jedoch wird sie aus fertigungstechnischen Gründen auch dort meist vorhanden sein.
- Um die Wasserdampf- und Luftdurchlässigkeit der Schicht von kleinen Hohlkugeln zu gewährleisten, ist es zweckmässig, wenn das Bindemittel für die Hohlkugeln durchgehend Zwischenräume aufweist. Dies lässt sich in einfacher Weise durch eine entsprechend vorsichtige Dosierung des Bindemittels erreichen. Ist gemäss einer Weiterbildung der Erfindung die Schicht von kleinen Hohlkugeln mit einer Schicht von Klebstoff versehen, so weist auch dieser zweckmässigerweise Zwischenräume zu dem gleichen Zwecke auf.
- Eine besonders zweckmässige Weiterbildung der Erfindung besteht darin, dass die Hohlkugeln aus thermoplastischem Material bestehen. Dadurch ist es möglich, mittels einer heissen und glatten Walze die kleinen thermoplastischen Hohlkugeln zu verformen und so die Oberfläche des Vlieses zu glätten. Um zu vermeiden, dass dabei das Vlies selbst verformt wird, wenn es aus thermoplastischem Material besteht, ist es zweckmässig, dass der Schmelzpunkt der thermoplastischen Hohlkugeln niedriger liegt als der des Materials des Vlieses.
- Weitere vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen und Einzelheiten der Erfindung ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen und aus der nachfolgenden Beschreibung eines Ausführungsbeispiels.
- Die Zeichnung zeigt einen Teilschnitt durch ein Ausführungsbeispiel gemäss der Erfindung, bei dem ein Vlies 1 aus thermoplastischen Fasern auf beiden Oberflächen Vertiefungen 2 und 3 aufweist, die durch Heissprägung im Bereich der Vertiefungen gebildet sind, um so die thermoplastischen Fasern des Vlieses miteinander zu verkleben oder zu verschweissen. Im Bereich der Vertiefungen 2 und 3 sind also dünne Stellen 4 des Vlieses 1 gebildet.
- Auf der die Vertiefungen 2 aufweisenden Oberfläche des Vlieses 1 befindet sich eine Schicht von kleinen Hohlkugeln 5 aus Vinylidenchlorid-Copolymerisat, die durch ein Bindemittel 6 miteinander und mit dem Vlies 1 so verbunden sind, dass zwischen den kleinen Hohlkugeln 5 freie, durchgehende Zwischenräume gebildet sind. Die Schicht von kleinen Hohlkugeln 5 füllt die Vertiefungen 2 weitgehend aus und ist im Bereich der erhabenen Stellen 7 zwischen den Vertiefungen 2 nur sehr dünn. Auf der dem Vlies 1 abgewandten Seite der Schicht von Hohlkugeln 5 befindet sich eine Schicht 8 von Schmelzklebstoff, der ein punktförmiges Muster bildet.
