Description

The invention relates to an artificial swamp according to the preamble of independent claim 1.

Deposits often form in rain basins and sewage treatment plants, which must be removed periodically. In order to facilitate the cleaning process, rinsing tips according to CH-A-634622, for example, are installed in the basin, which are filled with water in the horizontal state and then pivot by about 90 °, so that a strong surge of water pours against the basin wall. The water flows down the wall and is deflected in the curve and flows to the drain in the lowest point of the pool floor. Many pools already have a swamp below the level of the bottom. If this natural swamp is missing, the sudden amount of water can only drain off after a while through the mostly narrow drain. The dirt is deposited again on the pool floor, so that additional work steps are required to clean the pool floor.

In existing basins without a sump, one would have to be created by breaking it out, which is very expensive, resulting in business interruptions and loss of gradient. It is an object of the invention to provide an artificial swamp of the type mentioned at the outset which can hold large and suddenly occurring quantities of water and which prevents further contamination of the pool floor. The artificial sump should also be inexpensive to install in existing pools.

The object is achieved by an artificial sump with the features of the characterizing part of independent claim 1. Further advantageous developments result from the dependent claims.

An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
  • 1 shows a cross section through a rain basin with a rinsing tip and an artificial sump according to the invention, and as a comparison a natural sump lying at ground level,
  • 2 is a plan view of a rain basin with a flushing tip and an artificial sump,
  • Fig. 3 is a plan view of a circular pool with an artificial sump, and
  • Fig. 4 shows a cross section through a border of the artificial swamp, with a schematic representation of the flow pattern.

In the basin 12, a flushing flap 1 is fastened to the ceiling 3 with supports 7, which can be pivoted about a horizontal axis 8. To clean the basin 12, the rinsing tip 1 is filled with water through a line 2 until an excess weight arises as a result of a shift in the center of gravity and the rinsing tip 1 pivots about 90 ° into the position shown in dashed lines. The water flows as a strong surge of water 4 over the wall, the curve around the bottom of the basin 12 and entrains the adhering dirt. The water surge can also be generated with other devices, for example spray nozzles. The water and the dirt pass over a hill-like rising surface 20 of a border 5, which forms the artificial sump 15. The border 5 fastened to the floor, for example with bolts 18, is just rising so high and so high that the water and the dirt can get into the artificial sump 15 with the existing kinetic energy and thereby become energy-free and no longer whirl and splash. The border 5 is bent downwards at the upper edge, with the result that, on the one hand, the water flows directly and without excessive splashing into the artificial sump and, on the other hand, it no longer flows over it onto the sole 13 even in the case of rebounding, swirling or splashing water can reach. The artificial sump 15 acts as a dirt trap and water trap.

In the border 5, approx. 10 to 30 mm large, adapted to the composition of the dirt through openings 9 are provided, through which pent-up residual water can drain into the artificial sump 15, but through which no pieces of dirt can be washed back in the opposite direction to the rinsing water. With the passage openings 9, however, a cleaning of the space under the border 5 is also achieved, since part of the water flows through the passage openings 9 under the border 5 during each work step, and dirt particles lying there are washed away. The water in the artificial sump 15 as well as the dirt contained therein pass through the drain 6, the drain duration being immaterial. After the water has run out, it can be rinsed a few more times.

The capacity of the artificial sump 15 depends on the size of the rinsing tip 1 and is usually so large that a whole surge of water can be grasped together with the washed-up dirt. The border 5 can be designed to be tiltable, for example with a hinge 14, so that the height h can be adapted to the circumstances, such as the size of the basin, the height and amount of the rinsing water. The height h is chosen so that the flood of water with the entrained dirt can flow beyond the border 5 into the artificial sump and is then without energy.

The shape of the border 5 largely depends on the shape of the basin 12, the arrangement of the rinsing tips and the shape of the flowing water surge, as well as the position of the drain 6. FIG Border 5. Baffles 11 can be provided for the lateral guidance of the water surge 4. These prevent the water surge from flowing apart laterally if, for example, the four rinsing tips 1 do not tip together due to the control, or that the artificial sump 15 can only hold one tip content and the second, third and fourth tips are actuated after the artificial sump has been emptied. The artificial sump 15 can also be channel-shaped by arranging two rectilinear border parts in parallel. In FIG. 1, swamp 16, known per se, is drawn comparatively in the natural, below ground level. The border 5 can for example be made of sheet metal, eternit or a suitable plastic.
