Description

The invention relates to a basin, in particular a rain or clarifier according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

From the patent specification FR-A-2449654 a floating baffle is known, which is arranged in a rain or clarifier for the retention of contaminants floating in the surface area of the water during floods. The baffle extending over the width of the basin is pivotally mounted in the basin in such a way that it is in its lower position when the water level is low and its lower edge rests on the end wall of the basin at the outlet, as can be seen from FIGS. 3 to 6 of the drawings .

Often a sink is also used for such basins, which is intended to periodically remove the deposits that form on the bottom of the basin when the basin is empty. Such a rinsing tip is evident from the patent FR-A-2449487. 1 and 2 show this known design, two possible positions of the baffle are shown. The second position of the baffle, in which the lower edge touches the sole, is mainly provided when another installation is unsuitable due to obstacles such as overflow channel, catwalk, static column, etc.

The known basins with a flushing tip and a baffle in the above arrangement are disadvantageous in various respects. The diving wall is mechanically stressed by the rinse water. If the surge of water flows into the basin, the diving wall is knocked away, afterwards it falls back and hits the wall or the sole, which can lead to damage. In other cases, the baffle is an obstacle to the flow, so that u. U. the rinse water of the rinsing tip is unable to lift the baffle at all, which means that the bottom of the pool behind the baffle is not completely cleaned.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a basin of the generic type in which the disadvantages mentioned are avoided. This object is achieved according to the invention by the features defined in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 3-6 of the drawings. The two FIGS. 1 and 2 represent the known embodiments mentioned in the introduction to the description.
  • 1 shows a longitudinal section through a filled clarifier with a baffle arranged therein,
  • FIG. 2 shows a longitudinal section through an empty clarifier with a flushing tip and two possible arrangements of the baffle,
  • FIG. 3 shows a longitudinal section through a clarifier with a first embodiment of the lifting device,
  • FIG. 4 shows a top view of the basin according to FIG. 3,
  • 5 shows a longitudinal section through a clarifier with a second embodiment of the lifting device, and
  • FIG. 6 shows a top view of the basin according to FIG. 5.

In the clarification tank 1 shown in FIG. 1, a baffle 2 extending over the width of the tank is pivotally mounted on the outlet-side end wall of the tank. The baffle 2 is provided with a hollow body 3 so that it can swim in the water.

The wastewater flowing in during dry periods flows into the clarification tank 1 via an inlet line, not shown, and arrives at a sewage treatment plant via an outlet line, also not shown, which is located in the area of the base 4. An additional amount of meteor water during light rain can still be swallowed by the outlet pipe. In the event of floods, e.g. B. after heavy rainfall, but the output line is no longer sufficient to drain the inflowing amount of water.

The contaminated with the rain water from streets, squares, etc. 5 and objects such. B. wood, leaves, paper, animal carcasses and oil are transported to the clarifier and float on the water surface on top. The impurities accumulate behind the baffle 2.

When the water rises further above the height H 1 , the baffle 2 is raised as a result of the buoyancy, pivoting about the pivot point 6 until it is approximately vertical (shown in dashed lines in FIG. 1). The water level H 2 corresponds to the height of the overflow edge of the upper outlet opening 7 of the basin 1. When this height is reached, the water can run off, but the impurities are retained by the baffle.

The second embodiment of the baffle 8 according to FIG. 2 functions analogously to the baffle 2. Its lower edge lies on the sole 4 when the pool 1 is empty. The basin is divided into a front and a rear section by the baffle 8, the contaminants collecting in the last-mentioned section. The baffle 8 is mainly used when there are internals 9 in the pool.

In the basin according to FIG. 2, a flushing tip 10 known per se is provided. It serves for the periodic removal of deposits that form on the sole 4. The flushing tip 10 is arranged above the sole 4 and extends in the transverse direction of the pelvis 1. It can be pivoted about its axis 11 up to approximately 120 °, the center of gravity of the empty or partially filled dump not matching the center of gravity of the full dump. Appropriate arrangement of the axis 11 between these two focal points has the effect that the inflowing water fills the horizontal flushing tip through the upper opening when empty. During the filling process, the center of gravity shifts until an overweight arises when the tip is at least approximately full, whereby the tip is pivoted by approximately 120 °.

This causes a strong surge of water to pour against the pool wall. The water flows down the wall over the rounded transition between the pool wall and the floor and then at high speed along the floor to remove the adhering dirt and convey it into a sump channel. The emptied dump tip automatically swings back into its horizontal position and the process is repeated again.

In order to prevent this water surge from damaging the baffle 8, a lifting device is provided according to FIGS. 3-6, which lifts the baffle 8 before a rinsing process is initiated. After the flushing process, the baffle 8 is automatically lowered again.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6, the water supply line 12 for the flushing tip 10 has a tap 13 which leads to a differential water tank 14 which is arranged in the upper section of the basin 1. The container 14 is mounted in a manner not shown in detail between an upper and a lower end position on the pool wall.

Two cables 15 are attached to the container 14 and lead via upper, fixed rollers 16 to the baffle 8, where they are fixed on both sides of the hollow body 3. When water is supplied to the rinsing tip 10, part of this water reaches the container 14 via the branch 13. An inflow valve 17 arranged in the branch 13 and an outlet valve 18 arranged in the bottom of the container are mutually regulated in such a way that the container is filled more quickly than the rinsing tip. Before the flushing tip 10 tilts, the container 14 has enough water weight to raise the baffle 8 via the cables 15. If the inflow 12 to the flushing dump stops, the container 14 slowly empties through the valve 18 and lets the baffle wall slowly lower.

The surge of water can thus clean the sole 4 without damaging the baffle 8 and without being disturbed by it. After the flushing process, the baffle 8 automatically lowers again, since the valve 18 allows the water to escape from the container and no water flows in from the line 13. An overflow 19 is also provided at the top of the container. Therefore, the inflow through valve 17 can be opened to such an extent that surely more and more water flows in than flows out through valve 18, the excess water uses the overflow 19. It would also be possible to omit the drain valve and to select the drain opening accordingly small, so that less water flows off than flows in above. The regulation of the difference quantity could then take place solely through the inflow valve 17. With the valve 18, the emptying time of the container 14 can be regulated without opening for the purpose of slowly lowering the baffle.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, two containers 14 are provided, which are attached to the pool edge on both sides. Each container is provided with a cable 15, which is connected to the baffle 8 via separate rollers 16. Correspondingly, there are also two taps 13 which lead away from the main line 12. Otherwise, the operation of this lifting device is the same as that of the first embodiment.

It would also be possible to connect the container or containers 14 directly to the baffle 8 in a manner not shown, for. B. via a mounting arm attached to the baffle to extend the torque.

In order to fulfill the purpose of the invention, it is sufficient if the baffle 8 in the empty pool is raised by a few cm. The lifting device according to the invention is suitable for both types of baffles 2 and 8.
