Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device designed for amusement for people's amusement, with supports that can be set up at a predetermined distance from one another, between which a passenger nacelle is suspended on cantilevers that can be moved radially around the ends of the supports in such a way that their head ends can be moved on circular paths in mainly perpendicular parallel planes.
  • Such a ride is known from DE-C-676 473.
  • the well-known ride is a rollover swing, in which the passenger gondolas designed as a swing basket are suspended from cantilevers held in simple pivot bearings. Each swing basket can only move on a circular path around the pivot bearings.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a novel amusement device for people's amusements, such as fairs and the like, with which surprising movement effects can be achieved ..
  • each support has a drive element for the radial movement of the associated boom, that a compensating device is provided for the changing distance between the circular paths and that the areas of the head ends of the passenger nacelle are articulated with universal joint bearings at the ends of the arms are.
  • the passenger gondola is expediently an elongated platform with several rows of seats in a row. If the head ends are moved on mutually parallel vertical circular paths, the z. B. horizontally aligned longitudinal axis of the passenger gondola also on a circular path or describes the passenger gondola as it moves a cylinder.
  • the innovation according to the invention offers the advantage that the head ends can run at unequal speeds on the assigned circular paths, as a result of which the passenger gondola also performs tilting or rocking movements at the same time. It is also possible to move the head ends in opposite directions on the assigned circular paths and to additionally vary them with different speeds of movement. Multiple novel movement effects can advantageously be achieved.
  • each support has a drive element for the radial movement of the associated boom.
  • This drive element can, for. B. be a hydraulic motor over which the boom is moved. Since each boom has its own drive element, the above-described movement effects and combinations of the movement sequences of the passenger nacelle can be realized by individual control of the drive elements using simple constructional means.
  • the passenger gondola moves on a path corresponding to the circumference of a cylinder when the arms move, if both arms assume identical pivot positions within the circular paths they describe.
  • the passenger gondola extends diagonally through the imaginary cylinder described above. Since the diagonal is longer than the length of the cylinder ultimately determined by the spacing of the supports, at least one of the circular paths is pulled out of the vertical plane or the brackets are subjected to bending.
  • the ride has a compensation device for the changing distance between the circular paths.
  • a compensation device can, for. B. be designed such that each boom is pivotally articulated about a transverse axis to its longitudinal axis on the respective support.
  • the compensating means comprises a radial rotary head mounted in each support with a joint on which the associated boom is pivotally articulated about an axis aligned transversely to the longitudinal axis of the boom.
  • the compensating means comprises a radial rotary head mounted in each support with a joint on which the associated boom is pivotally articulated about an axis aligned transversely to the longitudinal axis of the boom.
  • the passenger gondola are connected to the booms via a longitudinal sliding bearing, which ensures the necessary length compensation in the manner of a telescopic guide without the booms being deflected from the vertical circular path they describe.
  • Scissor rods in the form of parallelogram-shaped articulated quadrilaterals can also be used as compensation devices.
  • the passenger gondola is composed of sections which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the gondola.
  • the seat-supporting frame of the passenger nacelle telescoped sections, which with necessary length compensation without Have the reduction in strength shifted against each other.
  • This shifting movement overlaps with the rocking and pendulum movements of the passenger gondola, which is caused by the radial movement of the booms around their articulation points on the supports.
  • the sections of the passenger gondola can also be coupled to one another via scissor linkages which can be used as compensation devices.
  • a swivel bracket of the radial rotary heads can also be provided for the necessary compensation, so that the radial rotary heads can move correspondingly articulated relative to the stationary supports.
  • the above-described embodiments of the compensation device can also be installed simultaneously or independently next to one another in a ride.
  • the passenger gondola Due to the articulation with universal joint bearings, the passenger gondola can be kept in an upright position which is comfortable for the passengers during the driving operation, above all because, according to another development, the overall focus of the passenger gondola outside the circular paths described by the universal joint bearings around the radial rotary heads of the Support and therefore lower than the universal joint bearing.
  • each boom is extended beyond its articulation points on the support and that a counterweight is arranged on the extended boom section.
  • the counterweights can be used to absorb loads caused by centrifugal forces and the like relatively easily.
  • the counterweights make it possible, in particular in an advantageous manner, that relatively low-power units are used as drive devices.
  • each support is designed as a folding mast arranged on a chassis.
  • the folding mast can e.g. B. be set up via hydraulic cylinders, so that the ride is almost fully operational after hanging the passenger gondola, as soon as the chassis for each folding mast are driven into the position intended for them.
  • Chassis 1 and 2 with indicated wheels 3 carry supports 4 and 5 designed as fold-up masts. Chassis 1 and 2 are set up parallel to each other at a predetermined distance and supported and secured by spacer plates 6 and 7. At the free end of each support 4 and 5, a radial rotary head 8 or 8a is mounted, which is rotatable about the horizontal axis 9 or 9a by means of an associated drive element, not shown.
  • Each radial head has a joint as a compensating device, which holds a boom 10 or 10a, which is pivotable relative to the radial rotary head about the articulated axis 11 or 11a, which is oriented transversely to the longitudinal axis of the boom, which is indicated by dashed lines.
  • the radial rotary head also has a tab 12 or 12a on which a gas pressure cylinder or the like. Shock absorber element is supported in order to dampen the pivoting movements of the boom about the articulation axis 11 or 11.
  • Each boom has a section 13 or 13a which is extended beyond the radial rotary head 8 and on which a counterweight 14 or 14a is arranged.
  • each boom there is a universal joint 15 or 15a.
  • the head ends 16 and 16a of a passenger gondola 17 are connected to the brackets 10 and 10a via the universal joints 15 and 15a.
  • the passenger nacelle 17 With a radial movement of the arms 10 and 10a about the axes 9 and 9a of the radial rotary heads 8 and 8a of the supports 4 and 5, the passenger nacelle 17 can be moved on a circular path and assume different inclined positions, due to which a multitude of variations of the Movement effects of the passenger gondola can be achieved.
  • Dashed lines indicate an inclined position of the passenger nacelle, which is achieved in that the arms 10 and 10a are moved independently of one another, that is, each arm separately, and thus have different positions within their circular paths described about the axes 9 and 9a.
  • FIG. 2 shows a side view of the fairground ride according to FIG. 1.
  • the same components are labeled with the same reference numbers.
  • At 18 and 19 they are folding masts trained supports 4 designated stiffeners.
  • the circular path 20 described by the passenger gondola 17 when the boom 10 moves radially about the axis 9 is indicated by a dash-dotted line.
  • FIG. 3 shows a partial view of a passenger gondola, which in this embodiment consists of two sections 17a and 17b.
  • Section 17a has support tubes 21 and 22 in the bottom region.
  • Section 17b has support bars 23 and 24 located in the floor area, which extend beyond the end face 25 of section 17b of the passenger gondola and are telescopically inserted into the support tubes 21 and 22.
  • Sections 17a and 17b can thus be pushed back and forth in the direction of the double arrow drawn between the two sections, the length of the entire passenger gondola changing.
  • Such an arrangement serves as a compensation device for distances between the ends of the cantilevers that change during the operation of the amusement ride, so that a compensation device with the axes 11 and 11 according to FIG. 1 can optionally be dispensed with.
  • FIG. 4 shows a detailed view of a universal joint bearing 15, with which the end of a cantilever 10, or 10a, which is not shown here, is equipped.
  • a further embodiment of a compensating device has been realized in that a support sleeve 26 is attached to the still visible head part 16 of the passenger nacelle, which can move back and forth on a sliding guide 28 connected to the cage 27 of the universal joint bearing 15 in the direction of the double arrow 29 .
  • the sliding guide is supported in a bracket cross member 30, which is connected to the cage 27 of the universal joint bearing 15 in a rigid manner via a strong gusset plate 30 a.
  • the length of the sliding guide 28 is dimensioned in such a way that the changes in the distance between the ends of the booms which occur during the operation of the amusement ride are compensated for.
  • Carrying sleeve 26 and sliding guide 28 thus represent a compensating device which is designed as a sliding bearing.
  • FIGS. 5 and 6 show further possibilities for a compensation device, in which top views of a passenger gondola are shown schematically.
  • Fig. 5 shows an embodiment of compensating devices as scissor linkages 31 and 31 from parallelogram-type square joints.
  • the scissors linkages 31 and 31 a are arranged between the head parts 16 and 16 a and respectively adjacent end faces 33 and 32 a of a passenger gondola 17.
  • a scissors linkage 31 can also be placed between two sections 17a and 17b of a passenger nacelle as a compensating device, whereby the function of such a compensating device is comparable to the function of the compensating device shown in FIG. 3.
