Definitions

  • the invention relates to a multi-pole push button switch according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Pushbutton switches are used in many ways to indicate a state, for example an end position of a machine table, the closed state of a door, a cover or similar elements. A part of the path to actuate a switch plunger is used directly by the movement of the part to be monitored.
  • DE-PS 952 915 shows such a single-pole switch. For applications must be connected in which more than one electrical circuit, it is off Serdem 971 322 is known according to DE-PS, a plurality of switches spatial ⁇ lent one behind the other to arrange. In many cases, this results in impermissibly large overall heights, especially where the switches are not just for
  • Low voltage but can also be used directly on the low-voltage network and the specified distances and
  • the invention is based, to reduce the manufacuring wall and the overall height of a multi-pole push button switch while observing the safety requirements.
  • Section along the lines A-A of Fig. 2 and Fig. 2 is a side elevation in section along the line B-B of Fig. 1, two different switching positions being shown in the left and right halves of Fig. 2.
  • 1 denotes a lower housing part of a three-pole push-button switch with an actuating plunger 2, which is mounted in a longitudinally displaceable manner both in an upper housing part 3 and in a guideway 4 (FIG. 1) of the lower housing part 1.
  • three switching chambers 5, 6, 7 are arranged side by side, each of which has a contact bridge 8, 9, 10 and two associated contact fingers 11, 12 (FIG. 2), 13.
  • the contact bridges 8, 9, 10 can be actuated from the single actuating plunger 2.
  • a transverse web 14 is formed on the actuating plunger 2, which has three projecting contact carriers 15, 16, 17, on the inside of the upper housing part 3.
  • the contact carriers 15, 16, 17 penetrate into the individual switching chambers 5 or 6 or 7 and each consist of two elastic fingers, of which only two fingers 16a, 16b of the contact carrier 16 can be seen in FIG. 2.
  • the ends of the elastic. Fingers of each contact carrier 15, 16, 17 are each formed into a stop 18, 19, 20 (FIG. 1), of which stops 19a and 19b of the contact carrier 16 are shown in FIG. 2.
  • On each of the contact carriers 15, 16, 17 one of the contact bridges 8 or 9 or 10 is suspended so as to rock about the middle of the bridge, for which purpose each of the contact bridges 8, 9, 10 has a central opening 21.
  • the elastic fingers of the contact carriers 15, 16, 17 each penetrate one of the contact bridges 8, 9, 10 in the opening 21 and prevent the contact bridges 8, 9, 10 with the stops 18, 19, 20 from falling out.
  • the actuating plunger 2 On the left side of FIG. 2, the actuating plunger 2 is pressed in so far that the contact bridges 8, 9, 10 just touch the contact fingers 11, 12, 13. The push button switch is now electrically closed. In order to compensate for travel tolerances of an actuator, a follow-up travel is also available.
  • the right side of FIG. 2 shows the position of the actuating plunger 2 at the end of the possible overtravel. The resulting contact pressure is given by the contact pressure springs 22, 23, 24.
  • each switching chamber 5, 6, 7 has its own return spring 25, 26, 27. These are supported on the one hand on the crosspiece 14 and on the other hand on the bottom of the switching chambers 5, 6, 7, that is to say on the lower housing part 1.
  • return springs 25, 26, 27 are formed on the lower housing part 1 and protrude into one of the switching chambers 5, 6, 7.
  • the return springs 25, 26, 27 are attached to these pins 28. The strength of the return springs
  • the Actuating plunger 2 never get stuck even with one-sided loading. It therefore has an additional lateral guide at least in the direction in which the crosspiece 14 extends. In the example described, it consists of two parallel ribs 29, 30 (FIG. 1) which extend between the central contact bridge 9 and the two outer contact bridges 8 and 10 and slide along the lateral guideways 4 of the middle switching chamber 6.
  • the actuating plunger 2 Due to the double guidance of the actuating plunger 2 on the one hand in the upper housing part 3 and on the other hand in the guideways 4, the actuating plunger 2 cannot jam even if one of the outer return springs 25 or 27 fails due to a broken spring and the remaining two work alone. The remaining return springs will still be able to bring the actuating plunger 2 into its rest position.
  • spring tabs 31 are formed on the lower housing part 1 and hold the pushbutton spring in a known manner in a corresponding recess in a sheet metal plate.
  • the structure described allows the economical production of switch-off pushbutton switches which meet the required safety regulations and which, despite the low space requirements, also have the air gaps and creepage distances required for use in low-voltage networks. Their assembly is also extremely simple and does not require any special tools.
