Abstract
Description
- Gegenstand der Erfindung sind Mittel mit Flüssigkeitshaftmengen auf Metalloberflächen herabsetzenden Zusätzen auf Basis von bestimmten Phosphonsäureverbindungen.
- An der Metalloberfläche verbleibt bei der Behandlung mit wäßrigen Lösungen oder bei der Nachspülung mit Wasser ein Rest an Flüssigkeitsmengen haften, der unerwünscht ist. So stören derartige Flüssigkeitsrestmengen bei bestimmten Verarbeitungsvorgängen, wie zum Beispiel heim Erhitzungsvorgang von Konservendosen, in dem sie entweder zu unschönen Flecken auftrocknen oder graue Wasserschleier hinterlassen. Auch ist nicht auszuschließen, daß bei einer nachfolgenden Berührung mit Lebensmitteln Beeinträchtigungen, wie beispielsweise geschmacklicher Art, erfolgen können. In derartigen Fällen ist es daher vorteilhaft, wenn die Haftmengen möglichst klein sind und beispielsweise durch Anwendung von Warmluft umgehend entfernt werden können. Die Behandlung mit Warmluft allein ist jedoch aus Gründen der Energieverknappung nicht befriedigend.
- Man hat daher bereits versucht, die Flüssigkeitshaftmengen auf Metalloberflächen durch spezielle Zusätze herabzusetzen. Es ist bekannt, für derartige Zwecke quaternäre Ammoniumverbindungen zu verwenden. Diese werden den Nachspülbädern oder aber auch bereits den Behandlungslösungen für Metalloberflächen zugesetzt. Diese können neben anorganischen und/oder organischen Säuren Natronlauge, Kalilauge, Soda sowie oberflächenaktive Substanzen, Komplexierungsmittel und Inhibitoren sowie Lösungsvermittler enthalten. Mit derartigen Lösungen wird bei Einsatz von 1%iger Konzentration mit circa 0,05 bis 1 g/1 an quaternären Ammoniumverbindungen ein Restwassergehalt in der Größenordnung von etwa 10 g/m2 erhalten. Lösungen ohne einen derartigen Zusatz an quaternären Ammoniumverbindungen weisen bei sonst gleicher Einsatzkonzentration eine Haftwassermenge von circa 20 ois 40 g/m2 je nach Ablaufzeit auf. -
- Die Verwendung von quaternären Ammoniumverbindungen ist jedoch in verschiedener Hinsicht nicht befriedigend. So sind derartige Produkte zu schaumstark und dadurch nicht im Spritzverfahren anwendbar. Auch sind für bestimmte Nahrungsmittel schon geringste Spuren für die weitere Verarbeitung störend, da. die Gefahr besteht, daß sie von der Grenzfläche in das Nahrungsmittel übergehen. Schließlich sind die quaternären Ammoniumverbindungen mit Lösungen, die oberflächenaktive, anionische Stoffe enthalten, nicht verwendbar.
- Es wurde nun gefunden, daß man diese Nachteile weitgehend vermeiden kann, wenn man sich der nachstehend beschriebenen Mittel, mit Flüssigkeitshaftmenge auf Metalloberflächen herabsetzenden Zusätzen bedient. Diese sind gekennzeichnet durch eilen Gehalt an Octyl-1-phosphonsäure.oder ihre wasserlöslichen Salze.
- Als wasserlösliche Salze kommen Natrium-, Kalium- oder Al- kanolaminsalze in Betracht. Die Octan-1-phoshonsäure oder deren wasserlösliche Salze werden in der Einsatzlösung in Mengen von 0,02 bis 1 g/l, vorzugsweise 0,2 bis 0,3 g/l, verwendet. Es hat sich als zweckmäßig erwiesen, dem erfindungsgemäßen Mittel zur Verbesserung der Löslichkeit der Octan-1-phosphonsäure oder deren wasserlöslichen Salze,Lösungsvermittler,wie Cumolsulfonat oder Alkohole, wie beispielsweise Glykol, Ethanol oder Propanol hinzuzufügen.
- Die Wirkungsweise der erfindungsgemäß verwendeten Zusätze ist überraschend, da man bei Verwendung von Alkylphosphonsäuren mit kürzeren und längeren Alkylresten, wie Octan-1-phosphonsäure, die oben beschriebenen Effekte nicht erhält. Die Mittel können im übrigen alkalisch, neutral oder sauer eingestellt sein.
- Der Anmeldungsgegenstand wird durch die nachstehenden Beispiele erläutert, ohne jedoch hierauf beschränkt zu sein.
- Konzentrate Nr.
- Aluminiumbleche (99,5) wurden unter den Bedingungen wie in Beispiel 1 beschrieben mit einer 1%igen Lösung der Konzentrate 1 (ohne Zusatz) und 4 behandelt. Als Haftlösungsmengen wurden für die genannten Mittel 24,1 ml/m2 und für das Mittel mit Zusatz an Octyl-1-phosphonsäure 10,8 ml/m2 ermittelt.
- Konzentrat, bestehend aus 10 % Cumolsulfonat, 2 % Octyl-1-phosphonat, 0,5 % Anlagerungsprodukt von 10 Mol Ethylenoxid an Nonylphenol, Rest destilliertes Wasser, wurde in 0,5%iger Konzentration einem Autoklaven zugesetzt, der mit Dosenmaterial, bestehend aus Weißblech, beschickt wurde. Nach dem Erhitzungsvorgang wurde das Dosenmaterial in üblicher Weise mit Wasser kurz abgespritzt. Es bildete sich kein Wasserfilm auf den Dosen aus, was ein fleckenfreies Aussehen der Dosen zur Folge hatte.
- Konzentrate zur Herabsetzung von haftenden Wassermengen, bestehend aus 5 1 Phosphonobutantricarbonsäure, 5 % Octyl-1-phosphonsäure, 1 % Anlagerungsprodukt von 8 Mol Ethylenoxid an Nonylphenol, 10 %Natriumhydroxid und/oder Kaliumhydroxid und Rest destilliertes Wasser, wurden auf 2 % Konzentration mit Wasser von 16°d verdünnt und bei 50°C zur Behandlung einer Chromnickelstahloberfläche verwendet. Nach mehrmaligem Einsatz des Konzentrats lief der Spülwasserfilm in kurzer Zeit restlos von der Oberfläche ab.
- Ein Konzentrat,bestehend aus 5 % Octyl-1-phosphonsäure, 3,5 % Triethanolamin, Rest destilliertes Wasser, wurde dem Nachspülwasser eines Durchlaufautoklaven zugesetzt. Die Menge wurde so dosiert, daß sich das Konzentrat auf circa 0,5 % Konzentration verdünnte.
- Von dem behandelten Dosenmaterial lief der Wasserfilm, ohne Rückstände zu hinterlassen, ab. Das Material konnte anschließend ohne Störungen-etikettiert werden.
