- the present invention relates to a device for adjusting, during casting, the short sides of a mold for continuous casting of products with rectangular section, such as a slab mold.
- Adjustable ingot molds which comprise a device, generally with return cylinders, making it possible to move the long sides very slightly apart while the desired adjustment of the short sides is carried out in order to modify the width of the slab. It is indeed necessary to allow the short sides to slide between the long sides, which normally trap them very tightly, so as to avoid any risk of jamming when adjusting the width.
