- This spacing 220 must be preferably identical to the spacing 237 between the bottom 236 of the groove 203 and the rear face of the operating rod 202. This thus gives the maximum possible adjustment stroke 233 without, when the projection 213 is in minimum position, the edge rear 234 bit 209 rubs on the external face 212 of the headrest 206 and the top 235 of the shoulder 230 rubs on the bottom 236 of the groove 203.
- the threaded axis 323 is integral in displacement with the operating rod 302 but free to rotate in the smooth hole 339 made in said operating rod 302.
- This smooth hole 339 has a frustoconical milling 340 flaring out towards the bottom 336 of the groove 303 in which is housed the flared head 341 of the threaded axis 323.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a locking fitting for a window, door or the like, provided with at least one bit with an adjustable projection secured to an operating rod by means of a threaded element and passing through a guide light provided in a headrest. secured to the sash or the frame to engage in a keeper secured to the frame or the sash of the window, door or the like.
Already known, from document DE-A-2,553,645, fittings for locking a window, door or the like comprising a device for adjusting the projection of the bit engaging in a keeper di s p o - posed on the frame to lock the sash. This adjustment device consists of a thread in the tail of the bit and a threaded trpu produced in the operating rod receiving the pa n - neton. To avoid an unexpected adjustment of the bit, it is provided that the threaded tail of the bit is screwed forcefully into the threaded hole of the operating rod. However, due to the tolerances of fa - nufacturing, it is very difficult to obtain a screw down force that is both sufficiently tight to withstand the tangential friction of the striker on the blade peripheral surface necessarily round and sufficiently flexible to allow adjustment of the bit protrusion.
In addition, tightening by force may loosen after several adjustment operations.
Furthermore, the fact that the bit is necessarily round, the resistance of the bit to the shear generated by the application of the leaf against the frame is limited because the diameter of the threaded tail is dependent on the width of the headrest therefore of the thickness of the window, door or the like.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks. The invention, as characterized in the claims, solves the problem consisting to create a locking fitting p r e feeling means of the projection of the blade adjustment insensitive to manufacturing tolerances and little subject to wear. Furthermore, the invention also seeks to increase the resistance of the bit to shear. This pannetdn comprises means for locking in rotation cooperating with the guide light of the headrest and that the operating rod is spaced apart by a determined distance from the internal face of the headrest.
According to a preferred design of the invention, the means for locking in rotation that the bit comprises are a parallelepiped base guided in the guide lumen made in the headrest.
One embodiment of the invention provides that the threaded element is fixed to the parallelepiped base and screwed into a threaded hole in the operating rod, while another embodiment conceives that the threaded element is fixed to the operating rod and that the bit is screwed onto the threaded element.
According to a variant of the present invention, the bit, having an oblong base, comprises displacement means according to a rectilinear path perpendicular to the external face of the headrest.
According to a first embodiment, the threaded element is an axis integral axially but free in rotation of the bit, this axis having, at the end screwed into the operating rod, a threaded shoulder and, at the other apparent end, a bit retaining element. The visible end of this axis comprises a gripping means for a tool allowing the rotation of said axis.
According to another embodiment, the threaded element is axially integral but free in rotation of the operating rod and screwed into the bit. The apparent end of this threaded axis also includes a gripping means for a tool.
A variant of these two embodiments making the holding of the bit more solid, is obtained when at least one guide pin secured to the operating rod is arranged in parallel with the threaded axis.
The advantages obtained thanks to this invention consist essentially in that, in order to adjust the bit, it suffices to exert traction on the latter to bring the operating rod closer to the headrest and thus to dissolve the cooperation between the locking means in rotation of the bit and the guide light produced in the headrest. Therefore, it is possible to turn the bit and modify the projection of the bit by rotation of the latter.
Another advantage consists in that the invention increases the resistance of the bit to shearing by providing that the parallelepiped base guided in the guide light of the headrest is oblong.

On se réfère aux figures 1 et 2.We refer to Figures 1 and 2.
The locking fitting 1 comprises an
Ainsi, on obtient des moyens de blocage annihilant toute rotation inopinée du panneton 9.According to the embodiment shown in these figures, the
According to the invention, the
To adjust the bit 9, a pull is exerted on the latter, this pull bringing the
On se réfère aux figures 3 et 4.We refer to Figures 3 and 4.
According to another embodiment shown in these figures, the
However, it sometimes proves necessary to have a more precise adjustment of the bit than those of the
On se réfère aux figures 5 et 6.We refer to Figures 5 and 6.
Pour le réglage du panneton 309, il suffit d'impliquer une rotation à l'axe fileté 323.Reference is made to FIGS. 7 and 8 showing another embodiment of the invention. La longueur de cet axe 446, 447 est légèrement inférieure à la longueur de l'axe fileté 423.Reference is made to FIGS. 9 and 10 showing another variant of the fitting according to the invention.
