Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a pivot for tilting or oscillating roof window comprising a fixed element integral with the frame made of profiles and provided with an upper covering cover, a movable element integral with the tilting or oscillating opening made in profiles and provided with a lower cover.
Document GB-A-2,079,845 already discloses a hinge for a tilting window provided with external covering profiles. This hinge is composed of a fixed element in the form of a housing and screwed into a notch made in the frame of a mobile element provided with a base screwed onto the leaf and composed of two plates having a general shape d 'a circle sector. These two plates, pivoting around a second articulation axis, move in semi-circular notches made in the two walls of the fixed element. Between the two walls of the fixed element and the two plates of the movable element is located a lever rocking around a first axis of articulation and crossed by a second axis of articulation. This tilting lever, having the approximate shape of a "U", is connected at one of its ends by the first articulation axis to the fixed element and by its other end, to the mobile element by the second articulation axis. This rocking lever comprises on each face a latch rocking around an axis. This latch, in the closed position of the window, is housed in a notch made in the semi-circular notches of the housing of the fixed element. The two plates of the movable element have a curved guide boss.
However, the latter cannot be used for tilting or oscillating roof windows, the dormant frame and the tilting or oscillating opening frame are made of metal profiles or of plastic materials. Indeed, for the installation of this hinge, it is necessary foresee a notching in the frames since it is a recessed hinge, notching impracticable in the profiles frames.
Furthermore, document FR-A-2,608,202 also discloses a pivot for a tilting or oscillating roof window. This pivot comprises a fixed element secured to the frame and connected by a first articulation axis to one of the ends of a tilting lever and a movable element secured to the tilting or oscillating leaf and connected, by a second articulation axis, at the other end of the rocking lever. These two articulation axes are offset in the open position of the tilting or oscillating opening leaf relative to the plane of the opening as a result of a first rotation around the second articulation axis connecting the tilting lever to the movable element followed by a second rotation around the first articulation axis connecting the rocking lever to the fixed element. On the second articulation axis, connecting the mobile element to the rocking lever, are arranged locking means terminating, after the first rotation of the mobile element around said second articulation axis, the cooperation of locking means with elastic return for the second rotation of the rocking lever around the first articulation axis connecting the other end of said rocking lever to the fixed element.
However, this pivot has a great drawback. Indeed, this pivot allows braking of the rotational movement but limited to the only normal opening function. In short, the maneuvers of the tilting or pivoting opening in the cleaning position cause a risk of unexpected tilting which can not only damage the entire pivot and / or the opening but also lead to serious accidents.
The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks. The invention, as characterized in the claims, solves the problem of creating a pivot for a tilting or oscillating window of roof comprising a fixed element secured to the frame made of profiles and provided with an upper covering hood, a movable element secured to the tilting or oscillating opening made of profiles and provided with a lower covering hood including the movable element, formed of a sector and pivoting about an axis of rotation integral with the fixed element constituted by a fixing plate, comprises on the one hand, drive means cooperating with braking means integral with the fixing plate and, on the other hand, control means actuating, by means of an element subjected to a translational movement, motor means ensuring the erasure or the installation of an intermediate covering hood filling the space between the lower edge of the upper cover hood of the frame and the upper edge of the lower cover cover of the opening.
The advantages obtained thanks to this invention essentially consist in that the various rotational movements of the opening element are braked permanently whatever the angle of inclination of the opening element between its closed position and its cleaning position. Thus, the pivot is given safety means eliminating any risk of unexpected tilting unlike known pivots having only three locked positions, namely, the closed position, the open position and the cleaning position of the opening.

We refer to the different figures. The tilting or oscillating roof window is composed of a
According to another embodiment, the free end 23 of the
Le fonctionnement du pivot conforme à l'invention est le suivant :The operation of the pivot according to the invention is as follows:
By pushing the
By exerting a pull on the
