Abstract

The invention relates to a manoeuvrable system for stoppping a shutter leaf, allowing the said leaf to be locked close to a wall in an open position and allowing the leaf to be released for the purpose of closing it. The system comprises two separate assemblies: a hooking assembly (5, 6) fixed to the wall, and a manoeuvring assembly fixed to the leaf. The hooking assembly comprises: a first element (5) including a support (7) and an incline (ramp) (8) articulated to the said support, a second element (6) consisting of a ramp, termed additional ramp, provided with removable fastening means (26, 27) designed to secure it in the extension of the main ramp (8), and a latch (toe) (9) for hooking onto the leaf, associated with fastening means, designed for positioning it at any desired location along the main (8) and additional (6) ramps.

Description

MANEUVERABLE SYSTEM FOR STOPPING A SHUTTER FLAP
AND SWING HOOKING SET
The invention relates to a maneuverable shutter stop system; it applies to shutters of the swing type pivoting around hinges (or other equivalent articulations), with a view to locking them in the open position and allowing them to be released for their closing. The term "shutter wing" generally means any pivoting closure element intended to equip a closure (doors, windows, French windows, etc.). The invention extends to a set, called hooking, constituting the system.

 I1 is known, in particular from French Patent No. 2,588,605 in the name of the applicant, to use maneuverable shutter shutter stop systems comprising, on the one hand, a hooking assembly fixed to the wall at level a free edge of the leaf in the open position and, on the other hand, an operating assembly fixed on this leaf so as to cooperate with the hooking assembly in the open position of said leaf.

 Such stop systems have the particular advantage, compared to traditional systems, of allowing the leaf to be released by an easy operation which does not force the user to bend over the opening. In addition, they perfectly immobilize the leaf in the open position, without risk of damage or accidental folding of the latter in the event of wind.

 On the other hand, they require manufacturing hooking assemblies of different sizes in order to adapt the system to the different thicknesses of leaves in the open position. Indeed, depending on the type of shutters (swing in one piece, swing consisting of several panels hinged together and coming to fold over each other in the open position ...), the latter in position opening can have very different thicknesses to which a set of hooking of given size cannot be adapted due to the limited adjustment possibilities of known hooking sets.

 The present invention aims to overcome this drawback and proposes to provide a maneuverable stop system whose hooking assembly makes it possible, by means of a single model of given size, to immobilize flaps of flaps of very different thicknesses. in the open position.

 Another objective is to provide a maneuverable system whose hooking assembly can adapt, without adjustment discontinuity, to leaves of very different thicknesses.

 Another objective is to provide a maneuverable system designed to equip both solid shutters and hollow shutters.

 To this end, the maneuverable stop system according to the invention comprises a hooking assembly fixed to the wall at a free edge of the leaf in the open position and an operating assembly fixed on the leaf, so as to ability to cooperate with the hook assembly in the leaf opening position.

The hooking kit essentially includes
- A first element comprising a support provided with means for fixing to the wall, a ramp, called main, articulated on said support, and elastic means arranged to urge the ramp towards a position, called attachment, where it extends substantially orthogonally to the support, and to allow it to be retracted to a position, called withdrawal,
a second element consisting of a ramp, known as an additional, provided with removable fixing means adapted to secure it in the extension of the main ramp,
- A choke associated with fixing means adapted to position it in any desired location along the main and additional ramps, said choke being of a shape adapted to be able to hang the leaf at its free edge in order to block it.

The operating set essentially comprises
- a gripping member positioned on the leaf on the hinge side,
an operating device linked to the gripping member in order to be able to be actuated by the latter, this device extending between said gripping member (hinge side) and the free edge of the flap at the level of the flange,
- And a maneuvering endpiece linked to the maneuvering device, suitable for pushing the chin and the (or) ramp (s) from the hooking position towards the withdrawal position when the maneuvering device is actuated.

 The maneuverable system therefore comprises a hooking assembly whose design in two separable elements makes it possible, on the one hand, to adapt it to leaves of very different thicknesses in the open position and, on the other hand, to limit, whatever its thickness, its size at the front of the leaf.

 According to another characteristic of the invention, the fixing means oi? chin are adapted to allow positioning in an intermediate position where it is at a determined distance from the fixing support, and for obtaining which said chin can be fixed, either on the main ramp or on the additional ramp.

 The hooking assembly can thus be adapted, without discontinuity in the adjustment possibilities, to very different leaf thicknesses.

 According to a preferred embodiment, this adjustment continuity is obtained by means of a hooking assembly, each ramp of which is provided with a longitudinal lumen and the means for fixing the chin guard comprising two blind holes, called front and rear, opening out. on the underside of said spar, and arranged so as to maintain this spar in its intermediate position, by means of a screwing member inserted, either in the lumen of the additional ramp and the front bore, or in the lumen of the main ramp and rear bore.

 Furthermore, according to another characteristic of the invention, the support for fixing the hooking assembly comprises a support stop arranged in opposition relative to the chin, in order to ensure a pinching of the leaf between said stop and the mint in the open position of said leaf.

 Furthermore, this stop system can be designed to more specifically equip either solid leaves, of the wooden shutter type, or hollow leaves, of the PVC shutter type.

Thus, for full leaves, the stop system preferably comprises an operating assembly comprising
- an operating device consisting of two operating rods connected by an angle transmission system and slidably mounted along their longitudinal direction: a first operating rod extending transversely on the leaf between the gripping member and the angle return system and a second operating rod extending longitudinally on the leaf between the angle return system and the lower edge of said leaf at the level of the flange,
- a gripping member consisting of a handle arranged to allow the rods to be moved in one direction or the other along their sliding direction, and to pull the leaf in the direction of its closure,
- And a maneuvering end piece constituted by the end piece of the second rod, positioned to project or recede relative to the lower edge of the leaf during movement of the rods, so as to rest on the spur or to remain away from it.

On the other hand, for hollow leaves, the stop system preferably comprises an operating assembly comprising:
an operating device consisting of a sheathed cable disposed in the thickness of the leaf and linked by one of its ends to the gripping member and by its other end to the operating end piece,
- an operating member consisting of a handle arranged to allow pulling on the cable and then pulling the leaf in the closing direction,
- And a maneuvering tip consisting of a slide housed in a shoemaker fixed on the leaf perpendicular to the chin, said slide adapted to move through a light formed in the housing being
linked to the cable so as to project from the lower edge of the leaf and to press on the chin bar when pulling on said cable,
biased towards a position of withdrawal relative to the lower edge of the leaf, by elastic means.

The invention extends as such to a hooking assembly of a flap flap adaptable to flaps of very different thicknesses and very particularly suitable for equipping the system described above. This hooking kit essentially includes
- A first element comprising a support provided with means for fixing to the wall, a ramp, called main, articulated on said support, and elastic means arranged to urge the ramp towards a position, called attachment, where it extends substantially orthogonally to the support, and to allow it to be retracted to a position, called withdrawal,
a second element consisting of a ramp, known as an additional, provided with removable fixing means adapted to secure it in the extension of the main ramp,
- A choke associated with fixing means adapted to position it in any desired location along the main and additional ramps, said choke being of a shape adapted to be able to hang the leaf at its free edge in order to block it.

 Other characteristics, objects and advantages of the invention will emerge from the detailed description which follows, with reference to the appended drawings which show by way of nonlimiting examples a hooking device, as well as two maneuvering assemblies in accordance with the invention. .

 The maneuverable stop systems represented in FIGS. 6 and 8 equip a shutter of a shutter 1 pivoting around hinges 2 to close or clear a window opening 3 formed in a wall 4. These systems are intended to ensure locking of the shutter 1 by open position near the wall 4, without play and without risk of failure in strong winds, and to enable the leaf to be released by a simple and easy operation, carried out from window 3, without having to bend over through it, regardless of the width of leaf 1.

 This system comprises two separate assemblies which are called upon to cooperate in the opening position of the leaf 1: a hooking assembly and an operating assembly.

 The hooking assembly is sealed in the wall 4 in correspondence with the lower edge 1a of the leaf 1 substantially at the half-width thereof, when said leaf is in the open position.

 The operating assembly comprises a handle fixed to the leaf on the side of the hinges 2 and an operating device extending between the handle and the lower edge 1a of the leaf 1, so as to be in correspondence with the hooking assembly in the open position of said leaf.

 The hooking assembly shown in detail in FIGS. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 comprises two main elements 5, 6. The first element has the shape of a square whose two arms 7, 8 are articulated one by relative to the other, one of said branches 7 forming a mounting support on the wall 4 and the other branch 8, a ramp along which can be moved and immobilized in translation a chin 9. The second element 6 constitutes a ramp additional adapted to be fixed in the extension of the ramp 8 of the first element, and along which can also be moved and immobilized the chuck 9.

 Firstly, the support for fixing to the wall 4 of the first element 5 comprises a plate 10 intended to be pressed against the wall 4 and, in the extension of this, a cylindrical sleeve 11 with an axis perpendicular to said plate . A cylindrical pin 12 is housed in this sleeve so as to constitute a support stop forming a projection relative to the fixing support.

 In the extension of the plate 10, this fixing support 7 further comprises a section 13 hollowed out on its rear face, having a U-shaped cross section, and the front end face 13a of which is interrupted at a distance from its end opposite to plate 10.

 This section 13 is closed by a rear plate 14, in the metallic example, secured to the support by means of a point 15 introduced by force into a sleeve 13b internal to said section.

 The fixing support 7 is finally fixed against the wall by any suitable fixing member, in particular by screws 16 cooperating with dowels 17 anchored in the wall 4.

 The ramp 8 of the first element 5 also has a cross section in the shape of an inverted U, the side walls 8a of which extend, at one of their ends, from the lateral flanges 18 which are housed in the section 13 of the first element 5 and articulated around a transverse axis 19 integral with said section. The front face 8b of this ramp 8 is further provided with a longitudinal light 20.

 Maintaining this ramp 8 in a position where it extends orthogonally to the wall 4 is ensured by a spring rod 21 in the form of a hairpin, covering the articulation axis 19. This spring rod 21 is disposed so that one of its branches comes up against the rear edge 8c of one of the side walls 8b of the ramp 8, delimiting for this purpose a shoulder with the corresponding flange, position in which it is held by a pin 22 arranged transversely in section 13.

 The second element 6, constituting an additional ramp, for its part comprises two longitudinal sections 23, 24 each having the shape of a U: a first rear section 23 of transverse dimensions adapted to fit inside the ramp 8 of the first element 5 and provided with fixing means on said ramp, and a second front section 24 adapted to abut against the end of this ramp 8, of dimensions adapted to be profiled in the extension of the latter. This front section 24 further comprises a front face 24a provided with a longitudinal lumen 25 which is axial with the lumen 20 of the ramp 8.

 In order to secure this additional ramp 6, the front face of the rear section 23 has two holes 26, 27 spaced apart longitudinally making it possible to secure it by means of a screw 28 housed in the opening 20 of the ramp 8 and in the either of the holes 26, 27, and a nut 29.

 Finally, the flange 9 has a generally triangular shape to form a shoulder 9a oriented towards the fixing support 7 and an oblique access ramp 9b on the opposite side. This ramp 9b is extended on the side of the shoulder 9a by a short bearing face 9c arranged to come opposite the maneuvering tip of the maneuvering assembly described below.

 The support underside of this spigot further comprises two blind bores 30, 31 spaced apart longitudinally, making it possible to block it by means of a screw 32 inserted in a slot 20 or 25 and in one or the another of these bores 30, 31.

 The particularity of such a hooking assembly lies in the fact that it offers a very large adjustment capacity making it possible to adapt it, without adjustment discontinuity, to leaves of very different thicknesses.

 For thin leaves, the hooking assembly will be used without additional ramp 6. As shown in Figure 5, the maximum adjustment capacity, possible in this case, then equals a leaf thickness (b) corresponding at an intermediate position of the spar 9 where the latter is blocked by means of a screw 32 housed in its rear bore 31 and in abutment against the front end of the lumen 20 of the ramp 8.

 However, for leaves of greater thickness, the assembly will be used with its additional ramp 6. As shown in FIG. 4, the minimum adjustment capacity, possible in this case, then equals the same leaf thickness (b ) as previously mentioned, corresponding to an intermediate position of the spigot 9 where the latter is blocked by means of a screw 32 housed in its front bore 30 and in abutment against the rear end of the lumen 25 of the additional ramp 6.

 It should also be noted that, as a general rule, the additional ramp 6 is secured to the main ramp 8 by means of a screw and a nut housed in the bore 26 closest to the two junction faces of these ramps.

 On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 4, and in order to allow the chin bar 9 to be fixed in its intermediate position on the additional ramp 6, the latter is fixed to the ramp 8 by means of a screw and a nut housed in bore 27.

 Furthermore, the operating assembly called upon to cooperate with this hooking assembly can be presented according to two different embodiments depending on the type of leaf, full or hollow, considered.

 Thus, the operating assembly shown in Figures 6 and 7 is particularly intended for hollow leaves, such as PVC shutters.

 This operating assembly comprises a handle 33 of any type known per se, which actuates an operating member via a sheathed cable 34 disposed in the thickness of the leaf.

 The operating member is housed in a housing 35 closed by a clipped cover 36 and inserted into a reservation made in the leaf so as to be in line with the spigot 9.

 This operating member consists of a slide 37 having the shape of a T, the vertical branch 37a of which is associated with displacement means capable of moving it vertically through a light 36a formed in the cover 36, so to bring it into abutment against the bearing face 9c of the bead 9 and to push the latter until it comes into a position of withdrawal relative to the leaf.

 These displacement means consist first of all of the cable 34 penetrating into the housing 35 through an opening in the underside 35a of the latter, the end of this cable being provided with a ball 38 which is received in a slot. 37c formed in the horizontal branch 37b of the slide 37.

 The displacement means further comprise a spring 39 disposed around the cable 34, between the underside 35a of the housing 35 and the horizontal branch 37b of the slide 37, and adapted to bring this slide back to its high position when the cable 34 n 'is subjected to no traction.

 The operating assembly shown in Figures 8 and 9 is in turn particularly intended for solid leaves such as wooden shutters.

 This assembly includes a handle 40, for example of the type described in French patent No. 2,588,605 in the name of the applicant, and an operating rod constituted by a flat iron.

 This operating rod comprises a first section 41a extending horizontally along the leaf and a second section 41b extending vertically above the hooking assembly, the opposite ends of these sections 41a, 41b being connected by an angle transmission system 42.

 Finally, the lower end 41c of the vertical section 41b is guided in its sliding by a bridge 43.

Claims (16)

 1 / - Manoeuvrable system for stopping a shutter flap, making it possible to lock said flap in the vicinity of a wall in an open position and to release it in order to close it, this system comprising a set of hooking (5, 6) fixed to the wall (4) at the level of a free edge (la) of the leaf (1) in the open position, and an operating assembly (33-39 ;; 40-43) fixed on the wing (1) so as to be able to cooperate with the hooking assembly in the opening position of the wing, said hooking assembly comprising  - A first element (5) comprising a support (7) provided with fixing means (16, 17) to the wall (4), a ramp (8), said main, articulated on said support, and elastic means (21) arranged to urge the ramp (8) towards a position, called attachment, where it extends substantially orthogonally relative to the support (7), and to allow its retraction to a position, called withdrawal,  a second element (6) consisting of a ramp, known as an additional, provided with removable fixing means (26-29) adapted to join it in the extension of the main ramp (8),  - a chin bar (9) associated with fixing means (30, 31, 32) adapted to position it in any desired location along the main (8) and additional (6) ramps, said chin bar being of a shape suitable for being able to hang the wing (1) at its free edge (la) in order to block it.  - And a maneuvering tip (37; 41c) linked to the maneuvering device (34; 41), adapted to push back the chin (9) and the (or) ramp (s) (6, 8) from the position of latching towards the withdrawal position when the operating device is actuated.  - an operating device (34; 41) linked to the gripping member (33; 40) in order to be able to be actuated by the latter, this device extending between said gripping member (hinge side) and the free edge ( la) of the wing (1) at the level of the chin (9),  - a gripping member (33; 40) positioned on the leaf (1) on the side of the hinges (2), said operating assembly comprising  2 / -
