Definitions

  • the invention relates to a single-sided corrugated cardboard machine with an upper and a lower corrugating roller for corrugating a corrugated material, in particular made of paper or cardboard, and a press roller assigned to the lower corrugating roller for connecting the corrugated web to a cover sheet, the corrugation of both corrugating rollers being essentially identical is shaped and the corrugated tip of the corrugated rollers is formed with a radius that is smaller than the radius of the corrugated base.
  • a corrugated cardboard machine is described as a generally known prior art in DE-A1-2 611 325 and US-A-3 053 309.
  • the roller set must therefore be replaced in good time, which is associated with a corresponding effort.
  • premature clamping can be countered by a greater difference between the base radius and the tip radius
  • the upper corrugating roller can naturally not be taken along by the lower one as precisely as in the case where the tip radius is only smaller by the amount of the corrugated material thickness than the radius of the Riffelground.
  • the fact that the corrugated roller that is carried along is no longer clean has the disadvantage that the wear at the tip no longer takes place symmetrically, which then leads to asymmetrical corrugations and thus to a reduction in cardboard quality.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of creating a single-sided corrugated cardboard machine in which, despite wear of the corrugated profile of the corrugated rollers, a perfect quality of the shaped corrugated web can be ensured.
  • flank between the corrugated tip and the corrugated base is set back in relation to the common tangent to the circular arcs of the corrugated tip and the corrugated base and the radius of the corrugated base is essentially larger than that of the corrugated material only by the thickness of the corrugated sheet.
  • the profiles of both corrugating rollers are shaped identically, but as stated at the beginning, this is the state of the art.
  • the corrugated rollers are shaped in such a way that the natural wear that predominantly occurs at the corrugated tips is included. However, this does not affect the quality of the corrugated cardboard at the start of use or after more or less pronounced wear. It is also particularly advantageous that the quality of the corrugated cardboard is not dependent on the paper thickness. With conventional corrugated rollers, only a certain ratio of the radii of the corrugated tip and the corrugated base is optimal. If thicker or thinner paper is used, poorer qualities result. With the corrugated rollers designed according to the invention, paper of any thickness can be corrugated without any problems - within quite wide limits.
  • flank surfaces in the corrugated rolls of the corrugated cardboard machine according to the invention has the same effect on the embossing process, as long as the offset mentioned or the sufficient distance between the interacting flanks is ensured.
  • a simple flank profile for example a straight flank, is preferably selected from the manufacture of the corrugated rollers.
  • an embodiment of the invention provides that the flank lies tangential to the circular arc of the base of the corrugated base, but intersects the circular arc of the corrugated tip.
  • the corrugated tip is formed approximately by a semicircle and the flank adjoins the assigned end of the semicircle.
  • a single-sided corrugated cardboard machine is proposed in US Pat. No. 3,053,309, with every second corrugation of the corrugated material being embossed.
  • the corrugated rollers are designed differently.
  • the height of the corrugated tips of the entrained corrugated roller is greater than that of the entrained roller.
  • the valleys or the base of the corrugation of the entrained roller are further designed, or the tips of the corrugation of the entrained roller have a smaller width, so that there is no flat contact over an entire half-wave. This can be done by moving the flanks back. In this way, only the height of the tips of the driving roller determines the height of the corrugated corrugated cardboard.
  • the single figure shows an enlarged profile of a corrugated roller of a single-sided corrugated cardboard machine according to the invention.
  • the corrugating roller is generally designated 10. It contains corrugated tips 11 made of solid material, which are arranged at regular intervals on the circumference of the corrugated roller 10. The corrugation is marked with t.
  • the corrugated base 12 is located between two adjacent corrugated tips 11. The profile height is denoted by h.
  • the corrugated tips 11 have a radius r5, which is smaller than the radius r8 of the corrugated base, by the amount of the thickness of the paper to be formed.
  • the flanks 13 between the corrugated tip 11 and the corrugated base 12 are formed by straight surfaces which run tangentially on the arc of the corrugated base 12.
  • the corrugated tips 11 are semicircular in cross-section and the straight flank surfaces are connected to the semicircular arc at the point where the diameter intersects the semicircle as shown at 14. For technical reasons, the discontinuous transition between the flank 13 and the circular arc of the corrugated tip 11 can be formed continuously, as indicated by the dashed line 15.
  • the upper and lower corrugated rollers of a single-sided corrugated cardboard machine have an identical profile.
  • the flanks 13 therefore remain at a noticeable distance from one another. A pressure or a force is therefore not exerted on the paper layer in between in this area.
  • the waves are embossed essentially between the corrugated tip 11 and the corrugated base 12, which results in a high-quality corrugation. This quality is also not impaired by the fact that the corrugated tips 11 necessarily wear out over time and the radius r5 becomes somewhat larger.
