- a fuse is known (DE-C-1638141), which consists of a tubular housing made of insulating material with mounted cover plates. A prefabricated unit consisting of two contact blades and this fusible link is inserted and locked in the tubular housing. A button-shaped collar attached to the base of a contact knife prevents the fuse element from being pulled out of the housing. The contact knife is displaced radially outwards a few millimeters so that a nose attached to it lies narrowly on the edge of the housing. On the opposite side of the contact knife, one of the cover plates of the housing engages in a recess in the contact knife. This prevents the contact knife from sliding back into the interior of the housing. However, it is necessary to mount the contact knife and the cover plate of the housing in one step.
