Definitions

  • the invention relates to a table, in particular a work table for terminals of data processing systems, with a table top which is adjustable in height and inclination relative to the table frame and which engages in the region of its front and rear edges with actuators which can be actuated independently of one another.
  • threaded spindle-running nut arrangements are used as actuators, the threaded spindles of which are arranged vertically in leg parts of the table.
  • the threaded spindles can engage in nuts which are rotatably mounted in the leg parts of the table but are non-displaceable in the axial direction, while the upper ends of the threaded spindles are connected to the table top.
  • Chain drives, gear drives and the like can be used to drive the nuts.
  • Chain or gear drives can then be used here to drive the threaded spindles.
  • Couplings can be used to ensure that all actuators are driven by a drive, for example a hand crank, to bring about a parallel displacement of the table top, or only the actuators arranged at the front or rear edge to incline the table top effect or change.
  • DE-C-31 342 a device for lifting the rear edge of a desk top, which is connected to the table frame by hinges in the region of its front edge.
  • the adjusting device comprises on the rear frame of the desk frame about the frame vertical axes pivoted levers, which are supported at one end on the underside of the table top and the other ends are connected to a complicated lever mechanism, which extends to the front edge of the desk frame Drawbar includes.
  • the stability of this adjusting device seems to be guaranteed only in connection with a table top which is fixed at one edge to the table frame, even if it is connected in an articulated manner.
  • GB-A-383 652 finally discloses devices for inclining the head and foot parts of bed frames or grids for beds, which in turn are connected at one edge to the frame frame in an articulated manner.
  • handlebars which are articulated at one end to the adjustable part and at the other end with running nuts arranged on threaded spindles, or crank arms which are supported on the part and which protrude from a toothed disc, with which a drive worm is engaged.
  • a separate shaft with drive worm is provided for each individual arm.
  • the free ends of the crank arms engage essentially in the middle of the parts pivotally mounted on an edge.
  • the invention has for its object to design a table of the type described above so that the structure of its frame is largely independent of the device for adjusting the table top and the adjusting device itself is characterized by a particularly simple and space-saving and at the same time very reliable structure.
  • the actuators are formed by crank arms which are each attached to a shaft parallel to the front or rear edge of the table top, rotatably supported in the table frame, with their ends supported on the underside of the table top and with whose shafts drives for pivoting the crank arms are engaged.
  • crank arms and their drives can be arranged in mutually parallel, horizontal planes, so that they can be accommodated in a simple manner below the table top, where for each table, regardless of the type of table frame the arrangement of the crank arms and the facilities required for their operation is sufficient space.
  • the crank arms and their drives can be mounted directly in appropriately designed parts of the table frame or in a simple frame that can be attached to the underside of the table top or to the table frame. Therefore, no special training of the table frame is required if a table that previously had a solid tabletop is to be converted into a table with a tabletop that is adjustable in height and inclination without any significant change.
  • crank arms can engage the table top in any way.
  • An articulated connection would be conceivable, which has a high stability, but which would have to be accepted that the table top suffers a certain transverse displacement when the height is adjusted.
  • a further embodiment of the invention provides that the crank arms have pivotally mounted sliding shoes at their ends, which engage in guide rails attached to the underside of the table top, and that the table top is held immovably in the longitudinal direction of the guide rails relative to the table frame.
  • Vertical guides for the table top can be used for this purpose.
  • a simpler arrangement is achieved in that the table top in each of its possible positions with its rear edge on a longitudinal member of the table frame, in particular on a cable duct, is held in contact by an elastic member.
  • toggle lever device which, in addition to the crank arms, each comprises a handlebar which is pivotally mounted at one end above the pivot axis of the associated crank arm on the underside of the table top and is articulated at the other end to the crank arm in the area from the center thereof. It is sufficient to provide a toggle lever device for the front and rear edge of the table top and to attach additional cranks to shafts that carry the crank arms belonging to the toggle lever devices, at the free ends of which the table top is only supported.
  • crank arms are connected in a rotationally fixed manner to gearwheels, with which, in turn, racks which are displaceable in their longitudinal direction and lockable in any position are engaged.
  • a gear wheel with a rack can be used to drive the crank arms, which engage the rear or front edge of the table top, so that the height adjustment on the front and rear edge of the table can take place independently of the other edge.
  • At least one toothed rack can be designed as a running nut and engaged with a threaded spindle. In this way, a fine adjustment of the rack and thus the height of the table top is possible.
  • the self-locking of the threaded spindle-nut arrangement also ensures that the rack maintains every selected position with certainty, so that special devices for locking the racks can be omitted.
  • An essentially identical effect is also achieved if a toothed rack is arranged at the end of a threaded spindle which is guided in a threaded bore provided on the table frame.
  • a threaded spindle is guided in a threaded bore provided on the table frame and is designed as a hollow spindle.
  • This hollow spindle receives a further threaded spindle, with which a toothed rack designed as a running nut interacts.
  • This further threaded spindle can be rotated in the hollow spindle, but is non-displaceably mounted in the axial direction.
  • This embodiment of the invention has the particular advantage that turning the threaded spindle designed as a hollow spindle not only results in the displacement of the toothed rack which is arranged at its end, but also in the axial displacement of the further threaded spindle, which is immovable in the hollow spindle is mounted so that the rack arranged on this further threaded spindle experiences the same displacement as the rack which is arranged at the end of the threaded spindle designed as a hollow spindle. Therefore, by rotating the hollow spindle, which can be provided with a handwheel for this purpose, the table top can be raised or lowered parallel to itself in the respective position.
  • the arrangement described is particularly simple if the toothed rack, which is driven by the threaded spindle designed as a hollow spindle, is mounted on the further threaded spindle and is held between the end of the hollow shaft and a collar arranged on the further threaded spindle.
  • the invention enables the device for height adjustment to be stored and arranged in a frame attached to the table frame.
  • the crank arms and the gears can preferably be fastened on shafts which are rotatably mounted in a frame arranged below the table top and parallel to the. Extend the edges of the table top.
  • the threaded spindles can then be mounted in a box arranged on the frame and extending transversely to the shafts, in which the toothed racks are displaceable but non-rotatably guided.
  • crank arms engage at their upper ends with screw spindles which are axially immovably mounted on the underside of the table top.
  • the drive means for the crank arms are attached to the underside of the table top and only the bearings for supporting the crank arms need to be provided on the table frame. Therefore, the space required for the adjustment device is particularly small here.
  • the table shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 has a frame which consists of two C-shaped side parts 1 and 2 which are connected to one another in the region of their rear upper corner by a side member 3 which is designed as a cable duct.
  • the longitudinal member 3 forms, together with the upper bars 4 of the side parts 1 and 2, a square open to the front, into which a frame 5 is inserted, which consists of two cross members 6, which are connected to one another by two longitudinal members 7 and 8.
  • the frame 5 is attached to the upper spars 4 of the side parts 1 and 2 by means of screws 9 which penetrate the cross member 6.
  • the frame 5 also has an upwardly open box 10, which extends parallel to the cross members 6 and is fastened to the longitudinal members 7 and 8.
  • the ends of shafts 11 and 12 are rotatably mounted, which extend parallel to the side members 7 and 8 of the frame 5 and are each arranged on the side of the side member, which is the open side of the side member 3 and the spars 4 of the table frame facing quadrilaterals.
  • the open side of the square forms the front of the table, while the longitudinal beam 3 lies on the back of the table.
  • the shafts 11 and 12 carry near their ends d. H. adjacent to the cross members 6, crank arms 13 and 14, which extend horizontally in the lowest position of the table top shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, that is to say parallel to the cross members 6 of the frame 5.
  • This actuating device comprises gear sections 21, 22, which are each arranged on the section of shaft 11 and 12 passing through box 10 in a rotationally fixed manner.
  • These toothed wheel sections 21, 22 engage toothed racks 23, 24 which are mounted in the box 10 so as to be displaceable but non-rotatably.
  • the toothed rack 23 which engages with the front gear section 21 is located at the end of a threaded spindle 25 which penetrates a threaded bore in a wall 26 which closes the box 10 to the front.
  • the threaded spindle 25 is rotatable relative to the rack 23 and for this purpose is provided with a handwheel 27 at its end outside the box 10. However, it is connected to the rack 23 by a rod 28 in the axial direction, which penetrates a bore of the threaded spindle 25 designed as a hollow spindle and also a bore of the adjacent rack 23 and has collars, which on the one hand at the outer end of the threaded spindle 25 and on the other rest against the inner end of the rack 23.
  • One collar is formed by the hub of a further handwheel 29 which is connected to the outer end of the rod 28 in a rotationally fixed manner, while the other collar is formed by one on the Rod attached collar 30 is formed.
  • the rod 28 passing through the hollow spindle 25 in turn has at its end facing away from the handwheel 29 a threaded section 31 and in this respect forms a further threaded spindle with which the rear toothed rack 24 having a threaded bore engages in the manner of a running nut.
  • the threaded spindle 25 designed as a hollow spindle is screwed more or less far into the threaded bore located in the wall 26 of the box 10, and thereby more or less displaced in its axial direction.
  • This displacement is transferred from the end of the threaded spindle 25 from the rod 28 with its collars formed by the handwheel 29 or adjusting ring 30 to the rack 23, which accordingly gives the front gear section 21 a rotary movement.
  • the same axial movement is also carried out by the rod 28, with the threaded section 31 of which the other rack 24 is axially immovably engaged, provided that the rod 28 is not given a rotational movement, as is the case when only the handwheel 27 is actuated.
  • the rack 24 also takes part in the axial displacement produced by turning the handwheel 27, so that both racks 23 and 24 are displaced by the same path and therefore take the associated gear sections 21, 22 with them by the same pivot angle.
  • the crank arms 13, 14, which are located on the shafts 11 and 12 pivoted by the gear sections 21, 22, impart approximately the same lifting movement to the table top, so that the table top is raised or lowered approximately parallel to its starting position.
  • Fig. 4 shows the table top in its lowest position, from which it can be raised by turning the handwheel 27 to the upper position indicated by dash-dotted lines in Fig. 4. It is understood that the table top can be brought into any intermediate position between these two extreme positions and is certainly held immovably in the selected position.
  • FIGS. 6 to 10 The office table illustrated in FIGS. 6 to 10 is shown so simply that the comprehensibility of the invention is clearly presented without secondary construction options.
  • the table top 102 is arranged adjustable in height, its front edge 120 and its rear edge 121 from its deepest position shown in solid lines in FIG can be raised to the dash-dotted lines. 7 to 9, the raised position is extended. Since this height adjustment can take place in such a way that the table top 102 can only be raised and lowered on the rear edge 121 alone or parallel to the respective position, the table top 102 can also be tilted. The details in this regard will be discussed later, at the moment it should only be mentioned in relation to FIG. 6 that a crank 103 has to be turned for height adjustment.
  • a substructure 104 belonging to the height adjustment device 105 (FIG. 7), which runs transversely to the front edge 120 of the table top, a central guide rail 140 and two parallel auxiliary guide rails 141 made of steel -Has hollow profiles. These guide rails 140 and 141 are rigidly connected to one another to the substructure 104 by transverse connections 142 parallel to the front edge 120.
  • End bearings 212 (FIGS. 7 and 8) for support shaft shafts 150 of the height adjustment device 105 (FIG. 7) are attached to the carriers 112.
  • Central bearings 211 (FIGS. 8 and 9) are arranged on the cross beams 111 connecting the beams 112.
  • the shafts 150 are rotatably but axially immovable in the bearings 211 and 212 on the support frame 101.
  • crank arms 161 which are part of a toggle lever device 106, are rotatably connected to each shaft 150 in the middle. These crank arms 161 are connected to links 162 by knee joint axes 163. The crank arms 161 are connected at the top by journal 164 to a sliding shoe 165 which is displaceable in the guide rail 140, while the links 162 are connected by journal 166 to the guide rail 140. Moving each slide shoe 165 causes the associated crank arms 161 to pivot about the shaft 150, with the link 162 causing the substructure 104 (parts 140, 141, 142) with the table top 102 along a plane vertical to the table top, in which the relevant shaft 150 lies is moved away. One or both sliding shoes 165 are moved via two coaxial threaded spindles 107 and 108, which are rotatably (but not shown in detail) mounted axially in the guide rail 140.
  • the threaded spindle 101 is designed as a hollow spindle and is in threaded contact with that slide shoe 165 which is closer to the front edge 120 of the table top 102, while the threaded spindle 108 engages further into the other slide shoe 165.
  • the extension 180 of the threaded spindle 108 penetrates the threaded spindle 107 and is formed at the front end as a square mandrel 181, on which the crank 103 is positively but axially displaceable and removable.
  • crank 103 If the crank 103 is turned in its position shown in FIG. 10, only the threaded spindle 108 is taken along, so that only the rear of the toggle lever devices 106 is actuated. If one pushes the crank with the coupling lug 171 into the coupling part 170, then both threaded spindles can be rotated by the crank at the same time, and both toggle lever devices 106 would be actuated.
  • the same pitch of the threaded spindles 107 and 108 is advantageous because when the two threaded spindles 107 and 108 are rotated, a parallel displacement of the table top 102 is to take place.
  • a slot 240 can be seen in FIG. 9, through which the pivot pin 164 goes from the sliding shoe 165 to the crank arms 161. As a result, there is also a simple limitation of the displaceability of the sliding shoe 165.
  • the slide shoes 165 and 190 can be inserted comfortably into the guide rails 140 and 141, respectively.
  • auxiliary cranks 109 are provided here, each of which is connected to one of the shafts 150 in a rotationally fixed manner and by means of an axle pin 191 in the auxiliary slide shoe 190 of an auxiliary guide rail 141 is stored.

  • the whole device can be easily and economically z. B. made of steel. It does not require any complicated parts. If one also forms the spindle 108 as a hollow spindle corresponding to the spindle 107, but attaches it in a rotationally fixed manner to the extension 180, a reduction in the parts can also be achieved there compared to the illustrated embodiment.
  • the tables shown as exemplary embodiments each have an adjusting device for the table top, the components of which are essentially accommodated in a frame which can be attached below the table top to a conventional table frame or even to the table top itself.

However, many other suitable connections are also conceivable.
  • the ends of the crank arms possibly with the interposition of rollers, simply rest on the underside of the table top, provided the table top is provided with a suitable vertical guide.
