Procede d'elimination de substances toxiques dans des gaz d'echappement, en particulier des oxydes de soufre et des vapeurs d'halogene, en faisant reagir un compose de calcium avec les oxydes de soufre ou les vapeurs d'halogene, le compose de calcium etant melange avec un agent de liaison soluble et transforme en solides de garniture, de forme predeterminee, qui sont seches et disposes de maniere lache dans le courant de gaz d'echappement de telle maniere qu'un tirage suffisant soit obtenu pour le fonctionnement de l'installation produisant les gaz.
