Claims (17)

1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von mit Gas gefüllten Mehrfachglasscheiben, bestehend aus mindestens zwei Glasscheiben (18, 19) die auf ihrem Umfang über einen Abstandshalterahmen (20) unter Bildung eines Zwischenraumes zwischen ihnen miteinander verbunden sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man ein von Luft verschiedenes Gas in den von den Glasscheiben begrenzten Raum während des Zusammenbaus der Mehrfachglasscheibe vor dem Verschließen des zwischen den Glasscheiben befindlichen Zwischenraums einleitet.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man das gasdichte Verschließen der Glasscheiben (18,19) mit dem Abstandshalterahmen (20) durch Aufeinanderpressen der Scheiben auf den mit einer elastischen Klebstoffmasse versehenen Abstandshalterahmen in einer Gas- oder Gasgemischatmosphäre vornimmt.
3. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man das gasdichte Verschließen der Mehrfachglasscheibe durch Aufpressen einer Glasscheibe (18) auf ein vorgefertigtes Element, bestehend aus einer anderen Glasscheibe (19) und einem auf ihrem Umfang aufgeklebten Abstandshalterahmen (20) in der Gasatmosphäre vornimmt.
4. Verfahren nach den Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man in der Zusammenbaustation der Mehrfachglasscheibe überschüssiges Gas abzieht, um es in den Gasversorgungskreis dieser Station zurückzuführen.

Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, mit einer Presse (1) mit zwei aufeinanderzu bewegbaren Platten (2, 3), zwischen die die Glasscheiben (18, 19) und der Abstandshalterahmen (20) einführbar sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie Mittel zum Einleiten von Gas oder einem Gasgemisch in die Presse (1) aufweist.
6. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie außerdem Mittel zur Abführung und/oder Wiedereinführung in den Gasversorgungskreis für das von der Presse (1) abgezogene Gas aufweist.
7. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die einzelnen Glasteile stirnseitig in den Spalt (10) der Presse einführbar sind.
8. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 6 oder 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Mittel zum Einleiten von Gas oder einem Gasgemisch in die Presse aus einer Füllrampe (22, 50) besteht, die an eine Gasquelle (27) anschließbar ist.
9. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Füllrampe in der geöffneten Presse vertikal verschiebbar ist und auf der Unterseite Gasaustrittsöffnungen (23) aufweist.
10. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 8 oder 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Füllrampe in mehrere Kammern (47', 47" usw.) unterteilt ist, die mit gesonderten Zuleitungen (24) verbunden sind.
11. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß vor der Presse (1) eine Längenmeßeinrichtung (Fühler 35) vorgesehen ist, durch die in Abhängigkeit von der Länge der Glasscheiben eine entsprechende Anzahl von Kammern (47) der Füllrampe (22) Gas aufnimmt.
12. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 8 bis 11, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß auf der Füllrampe (22) oberhalb der Gasaustrittsöffnungen (23) auf einer Seite eine federnd gelagerte Dichtlippe (26) angelenkt ist, um den Spalt (10) der Presse (1) während des Gasfüllvorgangs nach oben abzudichten.
13. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 8 bis 11, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Füllrampe (22) schmaler als die fertigzustellende Mehrfachglasscheibe ausgebildet ist.
14. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 6 bis 13, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Presse (1) unterhalb der beiden Platten (2, 3) mit einem Absaugkasten (28) abgedichtet ist, der über Absaugrohrleitungen (32) mit mindestens einem Absauggebläse (33) verbindbar ist.
15. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 6 bis 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Presse (1) zur Vermeidung von Gasverlusten oberhalb und an den Seiten der beiden Platten (2,3) abgedichtet ist.
16. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Presse (1) auf der Eingangsseite mit einer ein- oder mehrteiligen Schiebeklappe (55) und/oder auf der Austrittsseite mit einem Abdichtsystem aus sich überlappenden elastischen Lippen (56) abgedichtet ist.
17. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 16, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Öffnungs- und Schließmechanismus der Schiebeklappe (55) auf der Eingangsseite durch vor der Schiebeklappe (55) angeordnete, die vorbeitransportierten Scheiben abtastende Fühler (62) steuerbar ist.
