Description

The subject of the invention is devices, to be discarded after use, intended for collecting and eliminating polluting waste, in particular animal excrement.

We know that the pollution and soiling of urban roads and even buildings by the excrement of domestic animals, especially dogs, is a problem that has not been solved.

Plusieurs solutions ont été proposées.Several solutions have been proposed.

A first solution consists in using containers made up of two half-boxes which fit into each other.

Une telle solution est proposée par exemple dans les brevets US - A - 4 017 015 (JEFFERSON),, US - A - 3 857 597 (YOUNG) et US - A - 3 685 088 (DOHERTY).Such a solution is proposed for example in the patents US - A - 4,017,015 (JEFFERSON) ,, US - A - 3,857,597 (YOUNG) and US - A - 3,685,088 (DOHERTY).

A - 2 346 499 (LARSSON).Another solution consists in using bags whose bottom is provided with means for seizing a waste. In this case we must engage the hand inside the bag and then return the bag, which is not practical and moreover the paper bags can be difficultly turned over without being torn. Such a solution is described in US patents - A - 3,813,121 (MARVIN) and FR - A - 2,346,499 (LARSSON).

A third solution consists in proposing bags whose opening is provided with collection means. US patent - A - 3,806,984 (HELSABECK) describes bags whose opening is equipped with a rigid frame provided with a handle. US Patent - A - 3,978,540 (PECK et Al) describes devices made up of a bag comprising two rigid members, in the form of blades, placed on each side of the opening outside the bag.

The objective of the present invention is to provide apparatuses of the latter type which are more convenient to use, less costly to manufacture and which can be composed of materials based on vegetable fibers which disintegrate in water such as paper or paper. cardboard.

The devices according to the invention are disposable devices of the known type comprising a flexible envelope in the form of a pocket or bag having an opening and further means for collecting the waste, which comprise two rigid plates which are fixed on each side of the opening of the bag.

The objectives of the invention are achieved by means of devices of this type in which each of said plates has the form general of a rectangular shovel one of the edges of which is extended by a handle narrower than said plate and each of the two lateral edges of said opening is fixed to one of said rigid plates in a band situated along said edge which located in the upper position during collection and transport of the bag.

Preferably the opening of the pocket has two notches located between the rigid plates.

During collection, the rigid plates are placed beyond the opening of the bag and they can slide one above the other under the waste to act as a squeegee.

According to a first embodiment, each of the rigid plates is extended by three perpendicular faces, a base and two lateral faces with which they constitute two parallelepipedic drawers open on two faces and foldable flat.

Avantageusement les plaques et les bases ont des dimensions différentes de telle sorte que l'un des deux tiroirs est plus petit que l'autre et peut s'emboîter dans l'autre en délimitant avec ce dernier un volume parallélépipédique clos sur cinq faces, dont la seule face ouverte communique avec l'ouverture de la poche et est enveloppée par celle-ci.Advantageously, the plates and the bases have different dimensions so that one of the two drawers is smaller than the other and can fit into the other by delimiting with the latter a parallelepiped volume closed on five sides, of which the only open side communicates with the pocket opening and is enveloped by it.

According to a second embodiment, the means for collecting the waste consist only of two rigid plates in the form of rectangular shovels, one of the edges of which is extended by a narrower handle, which plates are fixed against the internal lateral faces of the opening of the bag by a strip along said edge of each plate which is placed in the upper position, so that, before and after the collection of a waste, said plates are located inside the bag and said handles, which emerge from the bag, also serve as handles for carrying the bag.

The invention results in new disposable bags, inexpensive, easy to manufacture, to transport and to use without risk of soiling.

The devices according to the invention are compact. Flat, the bag being folded or wrapped around the folded drawers or around the shovels, the device can be placed in a garment pocket or in a handbag.

Compared to the devices described in US Pat. No. 3,978,540, the devices according to the invention have the advantage that during the pick up the rigid shovels or drawers are located beyond the opening of the bag, that is to say on the side of the opening opposite to the bag, since the edge of the opening of the bag is fixed to the rigid members by a strip which is situated along the edge which is extended by a handle and which is in the upper position during the collection.

Thanks to this method of attachment, the shovels or drawers can be moved very freely and you can slide one shovel over the other without the bag interfering with the movements of the shovels. It follows that the bags can be made of paper which is less flexible than a plastic film but which has the advantage of disintegrating in the sewage water.

The bags according to the invention can be discarded after use in gutters, sewers, garbage cans or burnt.

The devices according to the invention comprising two drawers which fit into one another make it possible to obtain, after interlocking, a parallelepiped volume whose only opening is enveloped by the bag and therefore there is no risk of loss of pollutants during the inversion of the device.

The devices according to the second embodiment which have only two rigid plates in the form of shovels glued to the internal face of the bags allow inexpensive manufacturing. The handle of the shovels also serves as a handle for transporting the bags before and after collection. These latter bags are very space-saving.

The devices according to the invention can be made of opaque paper and cardboard and, as a result, they suppress in the user and in third parties the natural repellency caused by the vision of excrement or waste having a repulsive appearance.

This device comprises a flexible envelope 9, in the form of a bag or pocket, preferably made of paper or any other flexible and degradable material. The pocket 9 has, at one of its ends, an opening 9a.

During the collection of a waste, the bag 9 is in the inverted position, that is to say that the opening 9a is directed downwards.

The pocket 9 preferably comprises two lateral bellows 9b and 9c which allow it to be folded flat and open when used. The opening 9a has two lateral edges 9a j and 9a 2 which are located between the free ends of the bellows 9b and 9c.

On each of the edges of the opening 9a is fixed a device in the form of a drawer 1, 2 which is used to collect the waste 6 and to introduce it into the bag 9.

Each drawer has a rigid plate 3 1 , 3 2 having the general shape of a rectangular shovel, one of the edges 3 1 a, 3 2 a is extended by a handle 7 1 , 7 2 which is located in the plane of the plate and which is narrower than this.

Each of the side edges 9a l , 9a 2 of the opening 9a of the pocket 9 is fixed to one of the rigid plates 3 1 , 3 2 by gluing, by-a-graffage or by any other equivalent means. The fastener is located in a strip located along the edge 3 1 a, 3 2 a thereof, that is to say along the edge which is in the upper position, as seen in Figure 1 , during the collection of the waste 6.

It can be seen in FIG. 6 that thanks to this fixing of the edge of the opening along the upper edges 3 1 a, 3 2 a, the plates are placed outside the pocket, beyond the opening of the latter. Ci, during the collection of waste, which allows to move them freely without being bothered by the bag. Holding each shovel by the handle 7 1 , 7 2 , you can freely rotate the shovels around the edge of the bag opening and you can slide one shovel on the other.

The free ends of the side bellows each have a notch 15b, 15c. These notches are located between drawers 1 and 2. They facilitate the opening of the bag during pickup and allow to visually control the pickup operation.

Ainsi la base 52 fait fonction de raclette, ce qui permet de gratter le 3 sol et de décoller les déchets.FIG. 1 represents an embodiment in which the three edges of each shovel other than the edge 3la and 3 2 a are each extended by a plate perpendicular to the plane of the shovel, respectively by two bases 5 1 , 5 2 and by lateral sides 10 1 b, 10 1 c and 10 2 b, 10 2 c, so that each shovel has the shape of a drawer 1, 2 of rectangular shape having two open faces, the face opposite to the plate 3 1 , 3 2 and the side opposite the base 5 1 , 5 2 . Advantageously, the volume of the drawer 1 is slightly larger than that of the drawer 2. Thus the free edge 4 2 of the base 5 2 can engage above the free edge 4 1 of the base 5 1 . We can therefore engage the base 5 2 of the small drawer under the waste and slide it on the base 5 1 until it comes up against the bottom 3 1 of the large drawer. Thus the base 5 2 acts as a squeegee, which makes it possible to scrape the ground 3 and to take off the waste.

In the position where the small drawer is engaged in the large drawer, the two drawers delimit a parallelepiped volume which is closed on five sides and whose only open face is surrounded by the opening of the pocket. Returning the pocket so we can make the waste Tom- 5 ber 6 in the pocket without the risk of dropping a portion of the waste.

La figure 1 représente un mode de réalisation dans lequel non seulement les bords latéraux 9a1 et 9a2 de l'ouverture sont fixés le long des bords 31a et 32a des pelles mais également les bords libres 30des soufflets latéraux situés entre les échancrures 15b et 15c sont également fixés le long des bords supérieurs des faces latérales 101b, 101c, 102b et 102c.FIG. 1 represents an embodiment in which not only the lateral edges 9a 1 and 9a 2 of the opening are fixed along the edges 3 1 a and 3 2 to shovels but also the free edges 30 of the lateral bellows situated between the notches 15b and 15c are also fixed along the upper edges of the lateral faces 10 1 b, 10 1 c, 10 2 b and 10 2 c.

It can be seen in FIG. 1 that the edge 9a of the opening is fixed to the upper part of the plates 3 1 , 3 2 and of the lateral faces 3510 by a narrow strip which runs along the upper edge 3 1 a, 3 2 a of each plate in order to have a sufficient contact surface between the bag and the plates to obtain a good fixing, for example by gluing.

For example the edge 9a of the opening of the bag is glued against the internal face of the plates on a strip having a height of the order of a few millimeters.

We see in Figure 1 that the handles 7 1 , 7 2 have the shape of an inverted trapezium whose widest base constitutes the free edge.

Each of the handles has a slot, 8 1 , 8 2 , which slots allow the handles to be engaged one in the other to keep the bag closed after the drawers 1 and 2 have been turned inside the bag.

Figure 2 shows a view of an apparatus according to the invention in the folded position, before use thereof. In this position the drawers 1 and 2 are folded flat, the base 5 of each drawer being applied against the bottom 3 and the lateral sides 10 are folded in accordion inward as shown in Figures 6 6 and 7. The drawers folded are engaged inside the pocket 9. The handles 7 1 and 7 2 can remain outside the pocket as shown in Figure 2 or can be folded against the funds 3, inside the pocket. The pocket 9 is wrapped around the folded drawers so that a flat, space-saving assembly is obtained, which is easy to transport in a garment pocket.

La figure 3 représente une vue à plat des découpes d'une feuille de carton ou de tout autre matériau rigide analogue permettant de fabriquer d'une seule pièce un des tiroirs, par exemple le tiroir 1.FIG. 3 represents a flat view of the cutouts of a sheet of cardboard or of any other similar rigid material making it possible to manufacture in one piece one of the drawers, for example the drawer 1.

The cutouts of drawer 2 are similar but the plates 3 2 , 5 2 have slightly shorter lengths and widths so that drawer 2 can engage in drawer 1.

Lines 11, in phantom, represent fold lines engraved in the carton.

We see in this figure the rectangular shovel 3 1 whose) edge 3 1 a is extended by the trapezoidal handle 7 1 provided with a slot 8 1 . We also see the base 5 1 and the side faces 101b and 10 1 c which each have a slot 13b, 13c. The side edges of the tray 3 1 are extended by two rectangular faces 20b, narrower 20c that faces 10 1b and 10 1 c and two 12b tongues 12c which are intended to be each engaged in one of 13b and 13c slots . A drawer is shaped as follows:
  • - The base 5 is folded at an angle of 90 ° with the bottom 3; the side faces 10 1 b and 10 2 b are folded at an angle of 90 ° with the base; are folded faces 20b and 20c at 90 ° and inside faces 10 1b and 10 2b and 12b and 12c urges the tabs into the slots 13b and 13c and are then folded.

We see on this section the base 5 2 of the drawer 2 engaged in the drawer 1, the free edge 4 2 being in abutment against the bottom 3 1 . It can be seen that the free edge 4 2 has slid in contact with the base 5 1 by acting as a squeegee. We see that in this position the side notches 15c close because the opposite edges of each notch meet and overlap, which ensures the hermeticity of the device during the transfer of waste 6 in the bag.

Drawers 1 and 2 are held against each other during the inversion using the two handles which fold during the inversion. Waste 6 falls by gravity into the bottom of the bag.

Les figures 4 et 5 montrent clairement que le tiroir 2 s'engage dans le tiroir 1 en délimitant avec celui-ci un volume parallélépipédique fermé sur cinq faces, dont la seule face ouverte est complètement enveloppée par l'ouverture 9a de la poche 9.FIGS. 4 and 5 clearly show that the drawer 2 engages in the drawer 1 by delimiting therewith a parallelepiped volume closed on five faces, the only open face of which is completely enveloped by the opening 9a of the pocket 9.

The drawers are engaged inside the bag by acting on the handles 7 1 and 7 2 , so that the drawers fold, the base 5 coming against the bottom 3 of each drawer and the side faces 10 include a primer for folding which allows them to fold into an accordion. Once the drawers folded flat, bring the two handles 7 1 and 7 2 against each other and engage the two slots 8 1 and 8 2 one inside the other to keep the bag closed.

Figure 7 shows a perspective view of a drawer during unfolding or folding. The base 5 is folded against the bottom 3 by folding around the line 11 of junction between these two faces. Each of the side faces has a fold line 16b, 16c which is drawn along the diagonal connecting each end of the hinge 11 to the opposite top so that each side face folds in accordion towards the interior of the drawer according to two triangles which are overlap. Figure 2 shows the device folded as delivered to users. The user first unrolls the pocket 9 and unfolds each of the drawers by tilting them towards the outside of the bag.

On retrouve sur ces figures une poche 9 comportant deux soufflets latéraux 9b et 9c et une ouverture 9a.Figures 8 and 9 show another more simplified embodiment of a device according to the invention. The homologous parts are represented by the same references. These figures show a pocket 9 comprising two lateral bellows 9b and 9c and an opening 9a.

The edge of the opening 9a has two lateral edges 9a 1 and 9a 2 located between the two bellows and the free edge of each bellows has a notch 15b, 15c which connects the edge of the bellows to the fold 9b, 9c thereof.

The internal face of the bag located near each of the lateral edges 9a 1 , 9a 2 is fixed against the external face of a rigid plate in the form of a shovel of rectangular shape 3 1 , 3 2 , the upper edge 3 1a of which is 3 2 a is extended by a trapezoidal handle 7 1 , 7 2 which is narrower than said shovel.

It can be seen in FIG. 8 that the edges 9a l and 9a 2 are glued to the plates 3 1 , 3 2 in a narrow strip 17 1 , 17 2 running along the upper edge 3 1 a, 3 2 a of said plate. The height of the fixing strip is a few millimeters. The edges 3la and 3 2 a are the edges opposite to the leading edges 4 1 and 4 2 .

To reinforce the fixing, the edge of the opening of the bag can be cut to include extensions 19 1 , 19 2 which follow the shape of the handles 7 1 , 7 2 and, in this case, the internal face of these extensions is glued against the outside of the handles 7 1 , 7 2 . The handles 7 1 , 7 2 have cutouts 18 1 , 18 2 which draw two contour portions which are superimposed when the two handles are applied one against the other so that by pushing back) simultaneously the two circles surrounded by these contours, one can assemble the two handles to keep the bag closed.

Figure 8 shows the bag in the position before and after use. The shovels 3 ,, 3 2 are then placed inside the bag and the handles 7 1 , 7 2 are used to transport the bag.

To pick up a waste, the bag 9 is turned over and the two shovels 3 1 and 3 2 are brought out of the bag by pivoting them around the fixing bands 17 1 and 17 2 which are fold outward to form hinges. One acts on the two handles 17 1 and 17 2 to produce this turning outwards. After which we manipulate the shovels held by the handles to slide the free edge 4 i of one of the two against the upper face of the other and at the same time we rotate them to push the waste 6 towards the inside of the bag which is then turned over to find itself in the transport position of FIG. 8

We note that the shovels that are likely to be soiled are locked inside the bag which avoids any risk of soiling.

The embodiment shown in FIGS. 8 and 9 is a simplified variant of the embodiment in FIGS. 1 to 7, of which only the plates 3 1 , 3 2 have been retained, extended by the handles 7 1 , 7 2 . This simplification makes it possible to reduce the manufacturing cost and to obtain shovels which are easy to handle freely without being hampered by the bag.

Advantageously one of the two plates, for example the plate 3 2 which serves as a squeegee is less high than the other, which saves cardboard.

The devices, objects of the present invention, are inexpensive to manufacture, easy to use and they ensure good hygiene. The bags and the shovels can be made of paper or cardboard which are materials which decompose and disintegrate in the sewage water. Although the paper bags are less flexible than the plastic film bags i, the method of fixing the edge of the opening on a narrow strip running along the upper edge of the shovels means that the shovels can be brought out of the bag and handle them freely without being bothered by the stiffness of the bag.

The bags according to the invention can be used to collect 0 the excrement of domestic animals. They can also be used in hospitals and other healthcare establishments to collect waste such as soiled pads or cottons, dirty objects and any other similar waste.
