Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pushbutton with a rectilinear in a key housing against the force of a spring element from a key base distant to a key base near position and thereby movable between housing-side actuators and with two leaf spring-like switching elements fixed on one side in the housing with cross pieces, arranged parallel to the key path are and with their free end facing away from the key base, depending on the respective position of the actuating body, are resiliently supported either on a connecting element assigned to the respective switching element and led out of the housing, or on the actuating body or a cam of the actuating body, the connecting elements in the button housing are fixed.
  • each switching element forms a key contact together with the associated connection element, both of which are provided with connections protruding from the key housing, the one key contact e.g. one work contact and the other key contact is a normally closed contact.
  • the actuator body moves, one contact is closed and the other contact is opened. If only one contact is required, the other contact must be left unconnected.
  • keys with only one key contact are required for the construction of keyboards and the like in very large numbers. These keys are soldered side by side in grid holes in a printed circuit board, whereby no solder vapors are allowed to penetrate into the interior of the key housing. It is therefore desirable, particularly in the case of a key with only one contact, to have a key housing that is as tight as possible with respect to the connections and that the key can be manufactured in an uncomplicated manner, without making the function of the key particularly difficult.
  • this object is achieved in that, in the pushbutton of the type mentioned at the outset, the two switching elements are connected to one another via their cross pieces which are designed to be separable from one another.
  • connection elements e.g. can be designed as pins that can be easily anchored in a base plate of the push button so that they are surrounded by the plastic mass of the base plate in the penetration area, the base plate of the push button can be made completely tight.
  • the movable contacts (switching elements) of the pushbutton can be produced independently of the connection elements and are never permanently connected to them, which considerably simplifies their manufacture and their installation in the key housing.
  • each switching element consists of a U-leg of a U-shaped bent spring plate and that the counter leg is provided with the cross piece
  • the button housing consists of an upper part and a housing base plate, and that the cross pieces by locking them Both parts can be clamped together in the housing
  • the leaf-shaped cross pieces are provided with triangular projections at least on their edge facing the housing upper part
  • the actuating body has a cam for each switching element, and that these cams are provided either with a synchronous or mutually displaced effect are that one of the cams is designed such that only a protrusion protruding from the cam acts on the switching element, and that finally the switching elements are arranged only on one side of the actuating body in the button housing, and that on the other side of the actuator supply body in the key housing recesses for the exception of electrical light sources and / or other electrical components are provided.
  • an actuating body 3 is arranged in a button housing consisting of a housing base plate 1 and an upper housing part 2.
  • the actuating body 3 is mounted with a central guide pin 4 in a cylindrical recess 5 of the housing base plate 1 such that it extends in a straight line between a position remote from the key base (as shown in FIG. 1) and a position close to the key base. and can be moved around.
  • the actuator body 3 is supported with stops 7 (FIG. 5) on the upper housing part 2.
  • two leaf spring-like switching elements 8 are arranged in the key housing 1, 2.
  • the switching elements 8 are each formed by one leg of a U-shaped bent spring plate 9 (FIG. 2), the free end 19 of the switching element 8 being located on the side of the switching element 8 that is remote from the key base.
  • Each counter leg of a switching element 8 has a cross piece 10 (FIG. 3), which is clamped in the recess 11 (FIG. 1) of the button housing when connecting the housing base plate 1 and the upper housing part 2 and thereby fixes the assigned switching element 8 in the correct position in the housing.
  • Triangular projections 13 provided on the upper edge 12 of the cross pieces 10 dig into the plastic mass of the upper housing part 2 and ensure a vibration-proof attachment of the switching elements 8.
  • the two switching elements 8 of a button are connected via a detachable section 14 of their associated cross pieces 10 (FIG. 3).
  • a connection element 15 which can be separated from the cross piece is provided on each cross piece 10 of a switching element 8 (FIG. 3).
  • the housing base plate 1 has chimney-like channels 29 (FIG. 1) which, starting from the recess 11, extend to the side of the housing base plate 1 facing away from the housing upper part 2 and are directed parallel to the recess 5. They serve to receive a central section 17 of the connection elements 15.
  • pin-shaped connecting elements 18 are fixed in the housing base plate 1 as fixed contacts of the button and arranged such that the free end 19 of the switching elements 8, which is provided with an arcuate offset 28 to form a clear contact point, always when the actuating body 3 does not act on the respective switching element 8, a section of one of the connecting elements 18 projecting into the housing interior rests resiliently.
  • each switching element 8 is dimensioned such that, in addition to an area of the switching element 8 shaded by the connecting element 18, there is an area of the switching element which extends parallel thereto and in which cams 20 provided on the actuating body 3 can act on the switching element.
  • a cam 20 cf. 4 in particular can be achieved that e.g. during the movement of the actuating body 3, only a hump 21 placed on the cam causes the crank 28 of the switching element 8 to be briefly lifted off the connecting element 18.
  • Such a function is e.g. Desired if only a slight frictional movement between the switching element 8 and the crank 28 for contact cleaning is to be effected in order to ensure reliable contact between these two parts. This is e.g.
  • connection element 18 the circuit to be influenced by the button runs from the one connecting element 18 via a switching element 8, its counter leg 16, the two cross pieces 10 connected to one another, to the counter leg 16 of the other switching element 8 and from there to the other connecting element 18 either in the position of the actuating body 3 remote from the base of the key or close to the base of the base, lifted by the cam 20 from the associated connection element 18, the key thus acts either as a work contact or as a normally closed contact.
  • the connection elements 15 of the cross pieces 10 are not required.
  • the key works e.g. as a changeover switch when the cross pieces 10 are connected to one another and at least one of the two detachable connection elements 15 is used, or with two working contacts if the cross pieces 10 are separated and both detachable connection elements 15 are used.
  • the hump 21 can also with a cam 20a, 20b or 20c can be used to generate a kind of rest (cf. FIG. 1) when moving the actuating body 3 from its position remote from the key base to its position close to the key base. This latching effect is caused by the additional deflection of the switching element 8 caused by the hump 21.
  • the special design of the switching elements 8 used for the key makes it possible to use the key space on one side of the actuating body 3 for accommodating light-emitting diodes 22 and a diode 23.
  • the components mentioned are used in correspondingly shaped recesses in the housing base plate 1 and in these by correspondingly shaped e.g. Lugs 24 of the upper housing part 2 locked when the housing base plate 1 and the upper housing part 2 are joined together.
  • two centering pins 30 are provided which are connected in one piece to the housing base plate 1 and protrude into the printed circuit board.
  • One of the pins is oval to compensate for tolerances, the other is provided on its circumference with three or more triangular projections 31; these approaches are dimensioned such that they dig into the edge of the holes in the printed circuit board provided for the centering pins 30 when the buttons are placed on the printed circuit board, thereby causing the button to jam on the printed circuit board.
  • the button is held in its original position on the PCB during further processing steps (floating up during wave soldering due to the resulting pressure of the flux vapors and the surge is prevented without complex additional measures - such as holding devices).
