- the present invention relates to a thread guide for ring spinning and ring twisting machines, with a thread guide flap, one formed from an approximately helically wound wire, fastened by means of a screw to the thread guide flap, defining the thread balloon tip, and with a thread catcher.
- a thread catcher is a substantially straight, cylindrical body lying in the vicinity of the thread eyelet for the thread and does not touch the thread balloon during normal operation, the function of which is to cause the thread to become abnormal under the thread guide due to excessive bulging of the balloon Immediately catch operating conditions (rotor break, too light rotor, etc.) and thus prevent it from getting caught in the threads of the adjacent, correctly running spindles and thereby causing further thread breaks (so-called row thread breaks).
