Abstract

Los antibióticos que tienen propiedades anti-mitocondriales intrínsecas se pueden modificar químicamente para dirigir los antibióticos a las mitocondrias, y las "antimitoscinas" resultantes pueden tener propiedades anticancerosas mejoradas, entre otras propiedades ventajosas. También se describen métodos para identificar antimitoscinas, métodos para usar antimitoscinas para fijar como objetivo células madre cancerosas y composiciones farmacéuticas para tratar el cáncer que contienen una o más antimitoscinas como el ingrediente activo. También se dan a conocer compuestos específicos de antimitoscinas y grupos de antimitoscinas.
