Abstract

Un aparato y método para producir gas natural licuado. Una planta de licuación puede ser acoplada a una fuente de gas natural no purificado, tal como una tubería de gas natural en una estación de baja presión. Una porción del gas es empatado y dividido en un flujo del proceso (154) y un flujo de enfriamiento (152). El flujo de enfriamiento (152) pasa a través de un dilatador turbo (156) creando potencia de operación. Un compresor (158) es manejado por la potencia de operación y comprime el flujo del proceso. El flujo del proceso comprimido es enfriado, por el flujo de enfriamiento expandido. El flujo del proceso comprimido, enfriado es dividido en una primera y segunda porción, siendo la primera porción expandida para licuar el gas natural. Un separador de gas-líquido separa el vapor del gas natural líquido. La segunda porción del flujo del proceso comprimido enfriado también es expandido y usado para enfriar el flujo del proceso comprimido. Características y técnicas adicionales pueden ser integradas con el proceso de licuación incluyendo un ciclo de limpieza de agua y un ciclo de limpieza de dióxido de carbono (CO2).
