Изобретение относится к накопителю тепловой энергии и теплообменнику, включающим твердый материал для накопления тепловой энергии, теплопередающую текучую среду и устройства приема и отдачи энергии, отличающимся тем, что накопитель содержит по крайней мере один контейнер теплопередачи, твердый материал для накопления тепловой энергии, размещенный вокруг контейнера теплопередачи, и контейнер теплопередачи содержит теплопередающую текучую среду и устройства приема и отдачи энергии, так что весь перенос теплоты посредством конвекции и теплопроводности теплопередающей текучей средой происходит внутри соответствующего контейнера теплопередачи. Изобретение также относится к способу изготовления накопителя тепловой энергии, электростанции, включающей накопитель, способу использования электростанции и применению накопителя или электростанции.
