Abstract

Настоящее изобретение касается способов увеличения выхода веществ, продуцируемых организмом. В частности, настоящее изобретение касается способов увеличения общего содержания или содержания растворимых углеводов, или сахаристости, или увеличения содержания эндогенных углеводов в ткани растения с помощью продукции фермента, метаболизирующего сахар, который катализирует превращение эндогенного сахара (сахара, обычно производимого растением) в чужеродный сахар (сахар, который обычно не производится растением на данной стадии развития). Изобретение также касается растений или частей растений, которые продуцируют фермент, метаболизирующий сахар с образованием чужеродного сахара, что приводит к увеличению общего содержания сбраживаемых углеводов, а также сбраживаемых углеводов и других происходящих из них продуктов.
