Abstract

В способе и устройстве для плавки металлов в качестве основного источника тепла используется СВЧ энергия. Металл или смесь металлов помещают в керамический тигель (10), который взаимодействует, по меньшей мере частично, с используемыми микроволнами. Тигель заключают в керамический контейнер (14) для изоляции и помещают в микроволновую камеру (1). Атмосферу из камеры (1) можно откачать или заменить в целях удаления кислорода. После плавки металла тигель (10) можно извлечь для разливки, или же металл можно разливать в камере (1) путем стекания капель в нагретую литейную форму, находящуюся в камере. Явное взаимодействие микроволн с размягченным или расплавленным металлом обеспечивает высокие температуры с большой экономией энергии.Международная заявка была опубликована вместе с отчетом о международном поиске.
