Claims (14)

1. Optisk multimode fiber, omfattende: et kerneområde, en indre forsænket kappe, en rende, en ydre forsænket kappe og en ekstern kappe: - kerneområdet har en første radius (R1) og en alfa-profil med et optisk maksimumskerneindeks og en forskel i indeks (Δη-ι) mellem det optiske maksimumskerneindeks og den eksterne kappe, hvor R1 er mellem 23 pm og 27 pm; - den indre forsænkede kappe strækker sig radialt fra den første radius (R1) til en anden radius R2, hvorved den indre forsænkede kappe er forsænket i sammenligning med den eksterne kappe - forskellen i afstand mellem den anden radius R2 og den første radius (R1) er mellem 0,6 pm og 3,5 pm; hvor forskellen i indeks mellem den indre forsænkede kappe og den ydre forsænkede kappe svarer til Anener - Δη2, hvor Aninner er forskellen i indeks mellem den indre forsænkede kappe og den eksterne kappe, og Δη2 er forskellen i indeks mellem den ydre forsænkede kappe og den eksterne kappe; - renden strækker sig fra den anden radius R2 til en tredje radius R3 og har en bredde w2 og en dybde AntrenCh, der svarer til forskellen i indeks mellem renden og den ydre forsænkede kappe og har et volumen Vtrench; - den ydre forsænkede kappe strækker sig radialt fra den tredje radius R3 til en fjerde radius (R4), hvorved den ydre forsænkede kappe er forsænket sammenlignet med den eksterne kappe; - en ekstern kappe strækker sig radialt fra den fjerde radius (R4) - den fjerde radius (R4) er mellem 30 pm og 47 pm; hvor volumenet af renden Vtrench er mellem 1650x10'3 pm2 og 4500x10'3 pm2 og er givet ved:
