Es ist bekannt, daß geformte Gebilde auis aromatischen
Polyestern, insbesondere Polyäthylenterephthalaten, mit Pigmentfarbstoffen, Dispersionsfarbstoffen oder Entwicklungsfarbstoffen gefärbt
werden können, wobei im allgemeinen die Anwendung, von hohen Temperaturen oder eine Behandlung
unter Druck erforderlich ist. Als besonders günstig hat sich der Zusatz von Quiellmitteln, beispielsweise
von Aminen, Phenolen, Kohlenwasserstoffen oder Carbonsäuren erwiesen. Viele dieser
Verbindungen beeinträchtigen die Eigenschaften der damit behandelten Gebilde und der erzielten
Färbungen. In vielen Fällen werden auch nicht genügend tiefe Färbungen erhalten.
Es wurde nun gefunden, daß man geformte Gebilde aus aromatischen Polyestern, insbesondere
Polyäthylenterephthalaten, besonders vorteilhaft mit Pigmentfarbstoffen, Dispersionsfarbstoffen
oder Entwicklungsfarbstoffen färben kann, wenn man als Hilfsmittel 1,4-Dioxan gemeinsam mit ao
den Farbstoffen aus einer wäßrigen Lösung oder Suspension anwendet. Die Lösung oder Suspension
kann nahe Siedetemperatur gehalten werden und 25 bis 50% i, 4-Dioxan enthalten.
Nach dem neuen Verfahren erhält man Färbum- as
gen, die sich diirch einen vollen Farbton auszeichnen
und frei von dem störenden Geruch sind, der oftmals bei der Verwendung der für das Fär-

ben von Polyestern üblichen aromatischen Verbindungen zu beobachten ist. Im Vergleich zu den bekannten
Hilfsmitteln wird bei der Verwenduhg von i, 4-Dioxan eine vollständige Durchfärbu-ng des
Färbegutes erzielt. Au/ßerdem werden die Eigenschaften des Färbegutes, beispielsweise seine
Festigkeit, kaum beeinträchtigt.
Als Farbstoffe kommen organische Pigmentfarbstoffe, Dispersionsfarbstoffe, wie sie für das Färben
von Celluloseestern geeignet sind, oder Entwicklungsfarbstoffe, die nach dem Einbadverfahren
gefärbt werden können, in Betracht.
Gut gewaschene Polyäthylenterephthalatware in Form von Garn oder Flocken wird im Flottenverhältnis
1:20 ι Stunde bei 95 bis ioo° in einem
Bade behandelt, welches im Liter 2,5 g des durch Kuppeln von diazotiertem i-Amino-2-methoxy-4-nitrobenzol
mit 2,3-Oxynaphthoylaminobenzol erhaltenen Farbstoffs, 5 g eines Einwirkungsproduktes von Äthylenoxyd auf einen Fettalkohol
und 500 g i, 4-Dioxan enthält. Anschließend wird ge&eift und gespült. Man erhält eine volle Rotfärbung
von gurten Echtheitseigenschaften.
Claims (1)
- PATENTANSPRUCH:Verfahren zum Färben von geformten Gebilden aus aromatischen Polyestern, insbesondere Polyäthylenterephthalaten, mit Pigmentfarbstoffen, Dispersionsfarbstoffen oder Entwickhingsfarbstoffen unter Verwendung von Hilfsmitteln, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man als Hilfsmittel 1,4-Dioxan gemeinsam mit dem Farbstoff aus einer wäßrigen Lösung oder Suspension bei erhöhter Temperatur amvendet.© 609530/442 6.56 (809 544/8 6.58)
