Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Zusatzstoffen für Petroleum-Kohlenwasserstoffe,
z. B. Schmicrölgemische, Benzine und öle für Dieselmotoren. Durch diese Zusätze sollen die
genannten Petroleum-Kohlenwasserstoffe und die daraus hergestellten Produkte in ihren Eigenschaften und
in ihrer Brauchbarkeit verbessert werden.
Es ist bekannt, daß die Zugabc gewisser Arten von metallorganischen Verbindungen zu Schmierölen verschiedene
Eigenschaften dieser Öle verbessert, beispielsweise ihre Schmiereigenschaften und ihre Reinigungswirkung
in Maschinen, was sich darin zeigt, daß die Maschine während des Betriebes sauber bleibt.
Verschiedene Metallverbindungen, welche für diese Zwecke benutzt worden sind, umfassen die metallischen
Derivate organischer Verbindungen, beispielsweise von Fettsäuren, Naphthensäuren,' Sulfonsäuren,
Alkoholen, Phenolen und Ketonen. Diese verschiedenen Metallverbindungen neigen jedoch im allgemeinen
dazu, Lagerlegierungen zu korrodieren, beispielsweise solche, die aus Kadmium-Silber und Kupfer-Blei bestehen,
die heute weitgehend in automatischen Maschinen verwendet werden, und dies trifft besonders
für Maschinen zu, welche bei verhältnismäßig hohen Geschwindigkeiten und Temperaturen arbeiten.
Zweck vorliegender Erfindung ist, eine neue Klasse von Zusatzmitteln herzustellen, welche besonders für
mineralische Schmieröle geeignet sind, die als Schmiermittel in Kurbelwellengehäusen von Verbrennungsmaschinen verwendet werden und welche die wünschenswerte
Eigenschaft haben, die Reinigung einer Maschine zu fördern, die Stärke des Schmierfilms zu
verbessern, ein Hängenbleiben der Kolbenringe und die Bildung von Harzüberzügen auf dem Kolben usw
zu verhindern und welche nicht die Eigenschaft der bekannten Metallverbindungen haben, einer Korrosion
Vorschub zu leisten, sondern die korrodierende Wirkung von ölen, welchen sie zugesetzt sind, vermindern.
Die Herstellung dieser Zusatzstoffe erfolgt erfindungsgemäß so, daß Schwefel und Phosphor bzw. ein
Phosphorsulfid mit einem Metallsalz, vorzugsweise des Calciums, Bariums, Magnesiums, Strontiums oder
Zinks, einer Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel

worin Ar einen aromatischen Rest, besonders der Benzolreihe, R ein Wasserstoffatom oder einen oder mehrere
organische Reste, besonders einen Alkylrest mit vorzugsweise verzweigter Kette, X ein Nichtmetallatom

bedeuten kann, umgesetzt wird und dabei die Komponenten vorzugsweise so gewählt werden, daß die an
jeden aromatischen Rest Ar gebundene Gruppe oder gebundenen Gruppen 5 bis 25 Kohlenstoffatome enthalten.
Die Gruppe R1 kann also ein Aryl-, Alkyl-, Alkaryl- oder Aralkylrest sein mit oder ohne Substituenten,
wie Halogen, Nitro-, Amino-, Oxy-, Alkoxy-, Aryloxy- oder Mercaptogruppen. .
Zweiwertige Metalle der Gruppe II des Periodischen Systems werden bevorzugt verwendet, insbesondere
Calcium, Barium, Strontium, Magnesium und Zink; doch Zinn, Blei, Aluminium, Kobalt oder Nickel ergeben
auch wertvolle Produkte.
Obwohl die genauen Strukturen der nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren hergestellten Verbindungen
nicht festgestellt sind, läßt sich nachweisen, daß sie keine Metallsalze der Alkylphenolsulfidester von
Phosphorthiosäuren sind. Man kann Metallsalze dieser Art durch die Reaktion eines Alkylphenolsulfids
mit einem Phosphorsulfid herstellen, welcher eine Umwandlung des Reaktionsproduktes in ein Metallsalz
folgt. Solche Produkte haben die typische Struktur

in welcher R eine alkylierte aromatische Gruppe und M ein zweiwertiges Metallatom bedeuten.
Man nimmt jedoch im allgemeinen an, daß Metallsalze dieses Typs nicht entstehen, wenn das Alkylphenolsulfid
zunächst in ein Metallsalz übergeführt und dann mit einem Phosphorsulfid oder mit irgendeiner
anderen Kombination von Schwefel und Phosphor behandelt wird. Ein Grund für diese Annahme
liegt darin, daß bei der Reaktion kein anorganisches Metallsulfid gebildet wird, was der Fall sein würde,
wenn in der Reaktion ein Thiophosphatsalz sich bildete.
Außerdem erfolgt kein bemerkenswertes Absinken des Metallgehaltes in dem organischen Material während
der Reaktion mit dem Phosphorsulfid. Der Metallgehalt des Produktes nach der Kondensation
liegt in derselben Größenordnung wie der des ursprünglichen Metallphenolsulfids. Falls der Mechanismus der
Reaktion darin bestände, daß das Metallphenolsulfid in ein Organometallthiophosphat des oben genannten
Typs umgewandelt würde, dann beliefe sich die Abnahme des Metallgehaltes auf ungefähr 50 °/0. Aber
es wurde gefunden, daß dies nicht der Fall ist. Ferner wird während der Behandlung der Metallphenolsulfide
mit Phosphorsulfiden H2S entwickelt. Eine derartige H2 S-Entwicklung ist nicht zu erwarten, wenn die
Reaktion in der Umwandlung des Metallphenolsulfids in ein Metallsalz eines Alkylphenolsulfidesters einer
Phosphorthiosäure bestände.
Erfindungsgemäß bevorzugte Produkte sind die, welche durch die Reaktion eines Phosphorsulfids oder
einer Kombination der Elemente Schwefel und Phosphor mit den folgenden Verbindungen erhalten werden:
Barium-tert.-octylphenolsulfid, Barium-di-tert.-amylphenolsulfid,
Calciumisohexadecvlphenolsulfid, Zinn-II-phenolat des Di-(alkyloxycarboxyphenyl)-sulfids,
worin »alkyl« ein in der Konstitutionsformel mit R bezeichneter Paraffinwachsrest ist.

Phosphor und Schwefel oder Phosphorsulfiden nicht nur mit den normalen Metallsalzen oder Phenolsulfiden
oder Thiophenolsulfiden, sondern auch mit den

Zwischenverhältnisse von Metall zn Phenolsulfiden
beispielsweise wie 1,8 : 1 oder 2,3 : 1 können auftreten,
wenn Mischungen der vorgenannten Verbindungstypen vorliegen. Diese basischen Salze werden beispielsweise
gebildet, wenn man Phenolsulfide mit einer größeren Menge eines metallischen Oxydes oder Hydroxydes als
die umsetzt, die erforderlich ist, um die normalen Salze zu bilden. Reaktionsprodukte von Phosphorsulfiden
mit basischen Mctallsalzcn von Alkylphenolsulfiden sind besonders nützlich in Hochdruckschmiermitteln
und sind besonders vorteilhaft, um Schmiermitteln eine stabile Färbung zu verleihen.
Für die Zwecke vorliegender Erfindung besonders geeignete Produkte werden dadurch erhalten, daß man
Schwefel und Phosphor oder ein Ph.osphorsulfid mit einer Verbindung folgender Zusammensetzung reagieren
läßt:
In dieser Formel bedeutet R mindestens eine an den Kern gebundene Alkylgruppe; die Gesamtzald der
Kohlenstoffatome in allen diesen an jeden Benzolkern gebundenen Gruppen beläuft sich auf mindestens
fünf, wenn die Verbindung in Kohlenwasserstoffölen aufgelöst werden soll; X bedeutet Sauerstoff oder
Schwefel, M ist ein zweiwertiges Metall der Gruppe II des Periodischen Systems, und χ bedeutet die Zahl 1,
2, 3 oder 4.
Es sei darauf hingewiesen, daß die vorstehend angegebenen
allgemeinen Formeln Verbindungen einschließen, in welchen verschiedene substituierende
Atome oder Gruppen an den Kern gebunden sein können, z. B. Alkyl-, Cycloalkyl-, Aralkyl-, Aryl-,
Carboxyl-, Hydroxyl-, Alkoxy-, Aryloxy-, Sulfhydryl-, Nitroreste, veresterte Carboxyl-, Keto- (R-C = O),

an denselben aromatischen Kern gebunden sein. An den Kern gebundene Alkylgruppen können insgesamt
5 bis 25 Kohlenstoffatome in allen diesen Gruppen haben, und in manchen Fällen können in einer einzigen
Gruppe 16 bis 20 oder mehr Kohlenstoffatome, z. B. in einer Paraffinwachsgruppe, oder in einer Mehrzahl
von Gruppen enthalten sein.
\V?im mehr als eine Alkylgruppe in einem einzigen Molekül zugegen ist, gleichgültig ob sie an denselben
Arylkern gebunden ist oder nicht, können solche Gruppen gleich oder verschieden sein. Solche Alkyl- oder
andere Kohlenwasserstoffgruppen können Substituentengruppen enthalten, wie sie beispielsweise vorstehend
als Substituenten in dem aromatischen Kern angegeben sind. Die einzelnen Gruppen oder Atome,
welche an den aromatischen Kern gebunden sind, können in irgendeiner beliebigen Stellung zueinander
stehen.

In allen vorstehend unter ι bis3 angegebenen Formeln
bedeutet R eine Alkylgruppe, die mindestens 4 Kohlenstoffatome hat, und χ ist eine kleine ganze Zahl, nicht
größer als sechs.
Wenn die Produkte als Zusätze für Schmieröle verwendet werden, können besonders gute Ergebnisse
erzielt werden, wenn man Metallsalze von Alkylphenolsulfiden
benutzt, die verzweigtkettige Alkylreste mit 16 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen enthalten.
Diese können auf einfache Weise aus Phenolen erhalten werden, die mit verzweigtkettigen Polymeren alkyliert
sind, wie sie durch Polymerisation niedrig siedender Olefine, wie Propylen, Butylene oder Amylene
oder Mischungen dieser, erhältlich sind.
Es sei darauf hingewiesen, daß ganz allgemein in der Beschreibung die Bezeichnung Alkylphenolsulfid
nicht nur die Monosulfide, sondern auch die Di- und Polysulfide wie auch die Polymeren von Alkylphenolsulfiden
einschließt, wenn auch die Reaktion von 2Mol eines alkj'lierten Phenols mit 1 Mol Schwefeldichlorid
(SCl2) hauptsächlich ein Alkylphenolmonosulfid ergibt, wobei auch kleine Mengen von Polysutfiden und polymeren
Stoffen gebildet werden. Dies ist im allgemeinen sogar das übliche Ergebnis, wenn mehr als der
theoretisch erforderliche Anteil des Schwefelhalogenids für die Herstellung des Alkylphenolsulfids verwendet
wird, wenn beispielsweise 2 Mol Alkylphenol mit i,5 Mol Schwefeldichlorid behandelt werden. In
gleicher Weise können Alkylphenole mit mehr als der theoretischen Menge Schwefelmonochlorid (S2Cl2) oder
mit Mischungen von Schwefelmono- und -dichlorid oder zunächst mit einem Halogenid und dann dem anderen
behandelt werden.
Andere Verbindungstypen, deren Metallsalze gemäß vorliegender Erfindung Verwendung finden können,

Wenn die Salze mehrwertiger Metalle angewendet werden, ist es nicht erforderlich, daß alle Valenzen
durch Oxyarylsulfidgruppen abgesättigt werden; einige
von ihnen können durcli andere organische Gruppen abgesättigt werden, beispielsweise durch Carboxyl-,
Aryloxy-, Alkoxyreste, durch organische Gruppen substituierte anorganische saure Gruppen, wie Phosphorsäure-,
Phosphorigsäure-, Thiophosphorsäure-, Thiophosphorigsäure-, Phosphonsäuren Phosphinsäuren
Sulfonsäure-, Sulnnsäurereste u. dgl.
Die vorliegende Erfindung schließt daher beispielsweise Reaktionsprodukte von Phosphorsumden mit
folgenden Verbindungen ein:

und Stearinsäure, Zinnmischsalz des Di-tert.-amylphenolsulfids und der Naphthensäuren,
Bariuinmischsalz des tert.-Octylphenolsulfids und Petroleummahagonisulfonsäuren, Nickelmisch salz des
tert.-Amylphenolsulfids und Amylxanthogensäure, Zinkmischsalz des IsododecylphenolsulfidsundMethylcyclohexvlthiophosphorsäurc,
Nickelmischsalz des tert.-Amylphenolsulfids und Ölsäure, Magnesiummischsalz des tert.-Octylphenolsulfids und Cetylphenol.
Wie bereits angegeben, schließt der in dieser Erfindung gebrauchte Begriff Phenolsulfid nicht nur
das Monosulfid, sondern auch Disulfide, Polysulfide oder Polymere oder Mischungen dieser in irgendwelchen
Mengenverhältnissen ein.
Für die Zwecke vorliegender Erfindung werden alkylierte Phenolsulfide vorzugsweise aus Phenolverbindungen
hergestellt, die leicht durch Alkylierung der einfachen Phenole gewonnen werden, auf welche
eine Behandlung mit Schwefelchlorid und dann eine Neutralisation mit einer Metallbase folgt.
Geeignete synthetische Alkylphenole, welche zum Herstellen der gewünschten Phenolsulfidsalze dienen,
sind vorzugsweise die, welche sekundäre oder tertiäre Alkylreste enthalten, da die Alkylierung eines einfachen
Phenols schneller mit Alkylierungskomponenten erfolgt, die eine verzweigte Kette haben. Ihre Herstellung
erfolgt im allgemeinen durch Kondensation von Olefinen mit den einfachen Phenolen; die Reaktion
wird katalysiert durch wasserfreie Metallhalogenide, Borfluorid, Fluorwasserstoffsäure, Zinntetrachlorid
mit Chlorwasserstoff, Schwefelsäure, Phosphorsäure oder aktivierte Tone. Als olefinische Reaktionsteilnehmer
sind Raffineriegase, welche Propylen, Butylene, Amylene usw. enthalten, geeignet. Es
können auch Olefine oder Olefin enthaltende Mischungen aus anderen Quellen Verwendung finden. Bevorzugte
Olefine sind die mit 4 und mehr Kohlenstoffatomen, wie Butene, Amylene und Olefinpolymere,
beispielsweise Diisobutylen oder Triisobutylen oder normale Olefinpolymere oder Mischpolymere der normalen
und sekundären oder tertiären Olefine oder Mischpolymere der Olefine und Diolefine. Die Reaktionstemperatur
muß zweckentsprechend kontrolj liert werden, um Nebenreaktionen zu vermeiden. Wenn
Schwefelsäure als Katalysator verwendet wird, arbeitet man zweckmäßig in flüssiger Phase bei verhältnismäßig
niedriger Temperatur, während mit Phosphorsäure die Reaktion der Dampfphase durchgeführt
werden kann.
Geeignete alkylierte Phenole zur Herstellung der Phenolsulfide können auf diese Weise durch Alkylierung
von Phenol, Kresol, Naphthol oder anderen phenolischen Verbindungen hergestellt werden. Hochmolekulare
alkylierte Phenole können ebenfalls Anwendung finden, beispielsweise solche, die durch Kondensation
von Phenolen mit chloriertem Petrolatum oder chloriertem Paraffinwachs oder mit einem chlorierten
Kerosin oder Gasöl gewonnen sind. Natürlich vorkommende Phenole können ebenfalls verwendet
werden, z. B. solche, welche durch eine alkalische Extraktion gewisser Petroleumvorkommen erhalten sind
oder auch die, welche aus der Schale der Frucht des g0 Elefantenlausbaumes (Kaschunußöl) oder anderen
pflanzlichen Ölquellen gewonnen werden. HaIogcnierte
oder nitrierte Phenole finden erfindungsgemäß ebenfalls Anwendung, besonders in solchen Fällen,
wenn das Zusatzmittel in Schmiermitteln Verwendung finden soll, diebesondershohen Drücken ausgesetzt sind.
Eine Klasse von besonders bevorzugten Alkylphenolen sind solche, die durch die Alkylierung von
Phenol mit einem Olefinpolymeren, z. B. Diisobutylen oder einem Raffineriebutenpolymeröl gewonnen werden.
Alkylierung von Phenol mit ungefähr einer äquimolekularen Menge Diisobutylen ergibt p-tert.-Octylphenol.
Dieser Phenolabkömmling ist besonders geeignet, da er leicht hergestellt werden kann und da
aus ihm gewonnene Produkte für die Zwecke vorliegender Erfindung besonders befriedigende Ergebnisse
liefern. In vielen Fällen jedoch kann ein höherer Alkylierungsgrad vorteilhaft sein, und zu diesem
Zweck wird das Phenol mit zwei Moläquivalenten Diisobutylen alkyliert, um unter geeigneten Bedingungen
im wesentlichen Di-tert.-octylphenol zu ergeben; oder
es kann mit anderen Olefinpolymeren, beispielsweise Triisobutylen oder anderen Isobutylenpolymeren,
alkyliert werden. Für viele Zwecke ist die Verwendung alkylierter Phenole vorzuziehen, welche verzweigte
Alkylgruppen von 16 bis 30 Kohlenstoffatomen besitzen. Geeignete Produkte können durch Alkylierung
von Phenol mit polymeren Verbindungen hergestellt werden, die als Nebenprodukte bei der Herstellung
von Butylalkohol aus Petroleumraffineriebutenen erhalten werden. Diese bestehen hauptsächlich aus
Polymeren des η-Butens mit wenigen Prozenten Isobuten und anderen Olefinen, und sie ergeben alkylierte
Phenole, die verzweigtkettige Alkylgruppen von 16 bis
20 oder 20 bis 24 Kohlenstoffatomen, je nach dem für die Alkylierung benutzten polymeren Stoff,
besitzen. In vielen Fällen sind selbstverständlich die
Alkylierungsprodukte vorwiegend Mischungen verschiedener Verbindungen und nicht ein Alkylphenol
bestimmter Zusammensetzung, und solche Mischungen sollen für die Ausführung des erfindungsgemäßen
Verfahrens Verwendung finden.
Zur Umwandlung der Phenole in Phenolsulfide wird das Phenol mit Schwefeldichlorid zur Reaktion
gebracht, um im wesentlichen ein Phenolmonosulfid ίο herzustellen, welches eine Thioätherverbindung hat,
während Schwefelmonochlorid benutzt werden kann, um hauptsächlich das Phenoldisulfid herzustellen.
Ungefähr 1J2 bis ι Mol Schwefelhalogenid wird für
jedes Mol Phenol gebraucht, und die Reaktion wird vorzugsweise in einem Lösungsmittel durchgeführt,
beispielsweise in Dichloräthan, Chloroform, Petroleumkohlenwasserstoffen, Benzol, Xylol oder Toluol.
Um die Phenolsulfide in Metallsalze überzuführen, genügt es gewöhnlich, lediglich ein Metall oder ein
Metalloxyd, Hydroxyd, Sulfid, Alkoholat, Hydrid oder Karbid einer Minerallösung oder einer anderen
Lösung des Phenolsulfids bei erhöhter Temperatur zuzugeben. So werden beispielsweise Bariumsalze
alkylierter Phenolsulfide hergestellt, indem man das Sulfid mit Bariumhydroxyd, vorzugsweise in der
Form des Hydrates Ba (OH)2 · 8 H2O, zur Reaktion
bringt. In einigen Fällen ist die Herstellung von Schwermetallsalzen aus dem Alkalisalz durch doppelte
Umsetzung vorzuziehen. Die Calciumsalze werden in bequemer Weise durch die Umsetzung von
Alkylphenolsulfiden mit Calciummethylat oder einem anderen Calciumalkoholat gewonnen.
In vielen Fällen kann das Metallalkylphenolsulfid, das durch Neutralisation mit einem Metallhydroxyd
hergestellt ist, als ein hydratisiertes Salz anfallen. Die Verwendung hydratisierter Salze, die auf diese Weise
oder nach einer anderen Methode hergestellt sind, kommt ebenfalls für die Verfahren vorliegender Erfindung
in Frage.
Erfindungsgemäß läßt ,man das Metallsalz eines Phenolsulfids oder eines anderen aromatischen Oxy-
oder Mercaptosulfids mit den Elementen Schwefel und Phosphor reagieren. Das kann dadurch geschehen,
daß man eine Mischung der Substanzen in elementarer Form oder zunächst ein Element und
dann das andere zu der erhitzten Metallverbindung oder ein Phosphorsulfid, beispielsweise P2S6, P4S3,
P4S7 oder dgl., zugibt, oder diese mit Schwefel
und / oder Phosphor und einem Phosphorsulfid behandelt,
oder sie mit einer anderen Substanz oder anderen Substanzen, welche im wesentlichen nur die Elemente
Phosphor und Schwefel enthalten, behandelt. Der Phosphor kann entweder in der weißen (gelben) oder
roten allotropen Modifikation verwandt werden. Der Schwefel kann gleichfalls in irgendeiner seiner allotropen
Modifikationen zur Anwendung kommen.
In der Regel ist es jedoch angenehmer, ein Phosphorsulfid zu gebrauchen. Wenn man die vorstehend
beschriebenen Reaktionen ausführt, werden die Mengen des Phosphorsulfids und des Metallsalzes des
Phenolsulfids so gewählt, daß 0,03 bis 2 Grammatome Phosphor mit 1 Grammatom eines mehrwertigen
Metalls umgesetzt werden; das bevor- ! zugte Verhältnis liegt innerhalb der Grenzen von ungefähr
0,06 bis 0,75 Mol Phosphorsulfid je Grammatom Metall, wenn das Phosphorsulfid 2 Atome Phosphor
je Molekül enthält. Dieses bevorzugte Verhältnis gibt den Produkten den optimalen Gehalt an Phosphor
und Schwefel und verleiht ihnen das höchstmögliche Schutz- und Reinigungsvermögen. Im allgemeinen
werden dieselben Verhältnisse angewandt, wenn die Reaktion mit elementarem Schwefel und
elementarem Phosphor durchgeführt wird.
Die Reaktion kann zwar durch Schmelzen des Metallsalzes mit Phosphor und Schwefel oder mit
einem Phosphorsulfid herbeigeführt werden; es ist jedoch bequemer, die Reaktion mit Hilfe von Lösungsmitteln,
vorzugsweise hochsiedenden Kohlenwasserstofflösungsmitteln, wie Xylol oder einer Petroleumfraktion,
durchzuführen. Ein bevorzugtes Reaktionsmedium ist eine Schmierölfraktion, da auf diese
Weise das Endprodukt als ein Mineralölkonzentrat des gewünschten Zusatzmittels erhalten wird, das als
solches auf einfache Weise versandt oder gelagert und dann schnell mit dem Hauptvorrat an Schmieröl in
der gewünschten Konzentration vermischt wird, um so eine fertige Schmierölmischung zu erhalten.
Die Zusätze können in der Regel dadurch erhalten werden, daß man zunächst ein alkyliertes Phenolsulfid
in einem Mineralöl oder einem anderen geeig- go neten Lösungsmittel auflöst und es mit einem Metallhydroxyd,
z. B. Ba (OH)2 · 8H2O, bei ungefähr 80 bis
200°, vorzugsweise bei 110 bis 150°, behandelt. Nach
einer weiteren Erhitzung wird freier Schwefel und freier Phosphor oder ein Phosphorsulfid zugegeben.
Das Erhitzen wird bei 100 bis 2000, vorzugsweise bei
150 bis i8o°, fortgeführt, um die Reaktion zu vollenden.
Das Erhitzen dauert mindestens 10 Minuten und im allgemeinen wenigstens 1 Stunde, obwohl in
einigen Fällen eine längere Dauer erforderlich sein kann. Das Produkt wird dann filtriert, wobei man
ein Konzentrat des gewünschten Zusatzmittels erhält. Sollten die Produkte einen leichten Geruch von
Schwefelwasserstoff haben, so kann dieser Geruch beseitigt werden, indem man die Produkte mit einem
geeigneten Gas, beispielsweise trockener oder feuchter Luft oder Stickstoff oder überhitztem Dampf, bei
Temperaturen von 80 bis 1500, durchbläst oder mit
einem neutralisierenden Mittel, wie Barium- oder Calciumhydroxyd oder Calciumoxyd, behandelt. Man
kann auch eine Kombination dieser Verfahrensschritte anwenden. St) werden beispielsweise befriedigende
Ergebnisse erzielt, wenn man vor dem Filtrieren die Produkte mit 2 bis 5 °/0 Bariumhydroxyd
bei 1500 behandelt und nach dem Filtrieren ein Durchblasen
mit Stickstoff bei 100 bis 1200 folgen läßt.
Wenn das Ausblasen in technischem Ausmaß erforderlich ist, so ist eine Gegenstrombehandlung des
Produktes mit Gas in einem geeigneten Turm eine bequeme Methode.
Das Metallphenolsulfidsalz kann gegebenenfalls einer Erhitzung, beispielsweise für 8 bis 10 Stunden
bei 150 bis i8o°, unterworfen werden, oder es kann mit
trockenem oder feuchtem Kohlendioxyd ausgeblasen werden, bevor man Phosphorsulfid zugibt, um das
Endprodukt unempfindlich gegenüber Wasser zu
machen, wenn es dem Schmieröl zugesetzt ist. In der Regel ist jedoch dieser Schritt nicht erforderlich, da,
wie noch gezeigt wird, die Produkte vorliegender Erfindung im wesentlichen wasserunempfindlich sind.
Es wurde gefunden, daß bei der Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Zusätze in Mineralöl gute Ergebnisse
erzielt werden, wenn ein kleiner Teil eines höhermolekularen aliphatischen Alkohols, wie Stearyl-,
Lauryl- oder Cetylalkohol, oder Wollfettalkohol od. dgl.

erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen hergestellt werden. Dieser Alkohol verringert das Schäumen während des
Verfahrens und wirkt als ein Hilfslöser für das Endprodukt. Die besten Ergebnisse werden durch die
Zugabe einer solchen Menge Alkohol erreicht, daß dessen Konzentration etwa 3 bis 15 °/0 der Endkonzentration
des Zusatzmittels beträgt.
Obwohl ein Teil des anwesenden Alkohols mit dem Phosphorsulfid reagiert, wird dadurch die Wirksamkeit
des Zusatzes in keiner Weise beeinträchtigt; in einigen Fällen werden wünschenswerte Eigenschaften
des Zusatzes sogar verbessert. Falls es erwünscht ist, daß der höhermolekulare Alkohol in vorwiegend unveränderter
Form zugegen ist, kann er dem Reaktionsgemisch kurz vor dem Filtrieren zugegeben werden.
Andere Stoffe, welche an Stelle der höhermolekularen Alkohole als Löser oder schaumverhindernde
Mittel verwendet werden können, sind höhermolekulare Amine und Nitrile, beispielsweise das Stearonitril
oder Lauronitril. Die durch Kondensieren von Phenol mit den Reaktionsprodukten von Schwefelhalogeniden
und Diisobutylen erhaltenen Produkte haben sich ebenfalls für diesen Zweck als wirksame
Mittel erwiesen.
Es wurde ferner gefunden, daß Produkte mit einer besseren öllöslichkeit oft erhalten werden können,
wenn die Reaktion mit Phosphorsulfiden in Gegenwart einer kleinen Menge eines ofefinischen Stoffes, wie
einem Tetraisobutylen, durch Crackprozeß gewonnenem Paraffinwachs oder einem ungesättigten Alkohol,
durchgeführt wird.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Zusatzmittel werden mit größtem Vorteil mit den Schmierölen in Konzentrationen
zwischen annähernd den Grenzen 0,02 und 5,° % und vorzugsweise von 0,1 bis 2,0 °/0 vermischt,
jedoch können für einige Zwecke auch größere Mengen verwendet werden. Die genaue Menge des
Zusatzmittels, welche zur Erzielung einer höchstmöglichen Verbesserung des Schmieröls erforderlich
ist, hängt bis zu einem gewissen Grad von dem einzelnen verwendeten Produkt ab, der Natur des
Schmieröls und den allgemeinen Arbeitsbedingungen der Maschine, in welcher das Schmieröl verwendet
werden soll. Dieser selbe Konzentrationsbereich ist auch wirksam, wenn die Zusätze in fetten und in
Hochdruckschmiermitteln verwendet werden sollen, obwohl in letzterem Fall auch größere Mengen bis zu
20°/0 verwendet werden können.
Wie bereits vorstehend angegeben, ist es oft zweckmäßig, Konzentrate der Zusätze in öl herzustellen,
die beispielsweise 25 bis 75 °/0 des wirksamen Zusatzmittels
enthalten; das Konzentrat wird dann später der Hauptschmierölmenge zugegeben, wobei man eine
fertige Mischung erhält, die den gewünschten Gehalt an Zusatzstoff besitzt. Wenn man also beispielsweise
ein 4o°/0iges Konzentrat verwendet, können 2,5 °/0
dieses Konzentrats mit solcher Menge Schmieröl gemischt werden, daß das fertige öl 1 °/0 wirksamen
Zusatzmittels enthält.
In den folgenden Beispielen sind verschiedene Herstellungsverfahren
erfindungsgemäßer Produkte und die Ergebnisse beschrieben, die bei der Prüfung dieser
Produkte in verschiedenen Schmierölmischungen erhalten wurden.
Tertiäres Octylphenol wurde durch Alkylierung von Phenol mit Diisobutylen in Gegenwart eines SnCl4—■
H Cl-Katalysators hergestellt, wie im amerikanischen
Patent 2 332 555 beschrieben. Eine 4o°/0ige Lösung dieses tertiären Octylphenols wurde duVch Lösen in
einem Petroleumkohlenwasserstofflösungsmittel hergestellt, das einen Siedepunkt von annähernd 93,3
bis 148,9° hat. Während 3 Stunden wurde dieser Lösung Schwefeldichlorid im Verhältnis 1,6 Mol SCl2
auf je 2 Mol tert.-Octylphenol zugegeben; die Temperatur wurde auf 25 bis 350 gehalten. Nachdem diese
Temperatur während einer weiteren halben Stunde beibehalten war, wurde das Reaktionsgemisch auf
ioo° erhitzt und das Lösungsmittel unter Vakuum entfernt, wobei das tert.-Octylphenolsulfid als Rückstand
blieb.
1,186 kg tert.-Octylphenolsulfid, das wie vorstehend
beschrieben hergestellt war, wurden zu 2,077 kg eines paraffinbasischen Mid-Continent-Mineralschmier-Öls
zugleich mit 0,232 kg handelsüblichem Stearylalkohol zugegeben, und die Lösung wurde auf 1200
erhitzt. 0,885 kg Ba(OH)2 - 8 H2O wurden während
3 Stunden allmählich zugegeben, das Gemisch wurde gut gerührt und die Temperatur auf 120° gehalten.
Die Temperatur wurde auf 1400 gesteigert, 1 Gewichtsprozent
einer Filtriererde zugegeben und die Mischung filtriert, was 3,785 1 eines Zusatzkonzentrats ergab,
welches ungefähr 40Ό/0 Barium-tert.-octylphenolsulfid,
60J0 Stearylalkohol und 54% Mineralschmieröl enthielt.
Analyse des Konzentrats: 8,92% Ba, 3,40°/0
Schwefel.
Als Ausgangsmaterial für die Herstellung eines Reaktionsproduktes eines Bariumsalzes wurde ein gemäß
Beispiel 1 hergestelltes Konzentrat verwendet, das enthielt: 40 Gewichtsprozent Barium-tert.-octylphenolsulfid,
6°/0 Stearylalkohol und 54°/0 eines rafftnierten,
paraffinbasischen Mid-Continent-Mineralöls, das eine Saybolt-Viskosität von 52 Sekunden bei 98,9°
hatte. 30,3 kg dieses Konzentrats wurden mit 2,31 kg P2S5 durch Erhitzen des Konzentrats auf 1700 und
allmählicher Zugabe des Phosphorsulfids unter Rühren über eine Stunde behandelt, wobei die Temperatur
auf 180 bis 190° stieg. Die Temperatur wurde dann noch 2 Stunden auf 160 bis i8o° gehalten und das
Endprodukt filtriert. Das erhaltene Zusatzkonzentrat enthielt 8,10 °/0 Barium, 2,12 °/o Phosphor und 7,93 °/0
Schwefel.
Um die Wiederholbarkeit des erfindungsgemäßen
Verfahrens zu prüfen, wurde das Beispiel 2 wiederholt unter Verwendung von 29,95 kg des Konzentrats des
Beispiels 1 und 2,3 kg P2S5 und unter Einhaltung
derselben Reaktionszeiten und Temperaturen. Die Analyse des nitrierten Konzentrats ergab 8,14 °/0
Barium, 2,06 °/0 Phosphor und 7,96 °/0 Schwefel.
Mit diesem Beispiel wird die betriebsmäßige Herstellung eines Zusatzkonzentrats gemäß vorliegender
Erfindung veranschaulicht. Im wesentlichen in der gleichen wie im Beispiel 1 beschriebenen Weise wurde
eine öllösung von tert.-Octylphenolsulfid und Stearylalkohol
mit Ba(OH)2 · 8 H2O behandelt, aber das
Reaktionsprodukt wurde nicht filtriert. Ein Teil des Reaktionsproduktes, welches filtriert wurde, um ein
fertiges Zusatzkonzentrat zu erhalten, enthielt 8,97 °/0 Barium und 3,51 °/0 Schwefel. 558 kg des nicht
filtrierten Reaktionsproduktes wurden in ein Reaktionsgefäß gegeben und auf i8o° erhitzt. Dann wurden
allmählich während 5 Stunden 32,87 kg P2S5 zugegeben,
die Mischung wurde gerührt und die Temperatur auf i8o° gehalten (Molverhältnis P2S5 zu
Barium-tert.-octylphenolsulfid = 0,4:1). Das Erhitzen
und Rühren wurde bei derselben Temperatur 4 Stunden fortgesetzt, danach die Temperatur auf
140° gesenkt und das Reaktionsgemisch mit Stickstoff 5 Stunden ausgeblasen, um H2S zu entfernen. 9,07 kg
Filtriererdewurden zugegeben, und die Mischungwurde filtriert, um das gewünschte fertige Zusatzkonzentrat
zu erhalten. Die Analyse dieses Konzentrats ergab einen Gehalt von 8,37 °/0 Barium, 1,70 °/0 Phosphor
und 6,98 °/0 Schwefel.
Es kam ein molares Verhältnis von Phosphorsulfid zu Bariumphenolsulfid von 0,2 :1 zur Anwendung.
2470 g eines gemäß Beispiel 1 hergestellten ölkonzentrats
mit 40% Barium-tert.-octylphenolsulfid, 6°/0 Stearylalkohol und 54% Mineralöl wurden auf i8o°
erhitzt. Dann wurden während 1 Stunde 77 g P2S5 in kleinen Mengen zugegeben. Das Erhitzen
wurde weitere 3 Stunden bei i8o° fortgesetzt und
das Produkt unter Benutzung von Filtriererde filtriert. Das filtrierte Produkt wurde mit Stickstoff 8 Stunden
bei 950 ausgeblasen, um restliches H2S zu
entfernen. Das fertige Äusatzkonzentrat enthielt 8,86% Barium, 0,81% Phosphor'und 5,12% Schwefel.
Dieses Beispiel veranschaulicht die Herstellung eines Zusatzmittels, welches dem des Beispiels 2 entspricht,
jedoch unter Anwendung von P4S7 an Stelle
von P2S5. Das Ausgangsmaterial war ein gemäß dem
in Beispiel 1 beschriebenen Verfahren hergestelltes Zusatzkonzentrat, welches 40% Barium-tert.-octylphenolsulfid,
6 °/0 Stearylalkohol und 54 °/0 Mineralöl
enthielt. Die Analyse des Konzentrats ergab einen Gehalt von 8,97% Barium und 3,51% Schwefel.
1200 g dieses Konzentrats wurden auf i8o° erhitzt.
Dann wurden in kleinen Teilen während 1 Stunde 73 g P4 S7 zugegeben (Molverhältnis von P4 S7 zu
Metallphenolsulfid = 0,4 : 1). Die Mischung wurde weitere 3 Stunden auf i8o° erhitzt und dann filtriert
und hierbei Filtriererde benutzt. Das filtrierte Produkt wurde 10 Stunden bei 100° zur Entfernung restliehen
H2S mit Stickstoff ausgeblasen. Das fertige Zusatzkonzentrat enthielt 8,54 °/„ Barium, 6,78 °/0
Schwefel und 2,19 °/0 Phosphor.
Dieses Beispiel betrifft die Herstellung eines erfindungsgemäßen Produktes unter Verwendung eines
basischen Metallsalzes eines Alkylphenolsulfids. Das unter Verwendung eines aus BF3 bestehenden Katalysators
durch Alkylierung von Phenol mit Diisobutylen hergestellte tertiäre Octylphenol wurde im
wesentlichen nach dem gleichen, im Beispiel 1 beschriebenen Verfahren in das Sulfid übergeführt, wobei ein
Verhältnis von 1,6 Mol SCl2 auf 2 Mol tert.-Octylphenol
Verwendung fand. 7740 g dieses tert.-Octylphenolsulfids und 1500 g Stearylalkohol wurden in
13500 g raffiniertem paraffinbasischem Mineralschmieröl
(52 Sekunden Saybolt, Viskosität bei 98,9°) aufgelöst. Die Mischung wurde in einer Stickstoffatmosphäre
unter Rühren auf 120 bis 125° erhitzt, und dann wurden während 6 Stunden 11990 g
Ba(OH)2 · 8 H2O zugegeben. Die Temperatur wurde
dann auf 135 bis 1400 gesteigert und das Erhitzen
und Rühren 2 Stunden fortgesetzt. 1 Gewichtsprozent Filtriererde wurde zugegeben, die Mischung filtriert
und ein Konzentrat erhalten, das annähernd 42 % basisches Barium-tert.-octylphenolsulfid, etwas
weniger als 6°/0 Stearylalkohol und etwas mehr als 52 °/0 Mineralschmieröl enthielt. Die Analyse des
Konzentrats ergab einen Gehalt von 12,97 °/0 Barium
und 2,99 °/0 Schwefel.
2000 g dieses Konzentrats wurden auf 180° erhitzt und während 1 Stunde mit 129 g P2S5 versetzt.
Das Erhitzen wurde 3 Stunden fortgeführt, das Produkt filtriert und 6 Stunden bei 100° mit Stickstoff
ausgeblasen. Das fertige Zusatzkonzentrat enthielt 11,7% Barium, 1,8% Phosphor und 6,56%
Schwefel.
Ein erfindungsgemäßes Produkt unter Verwendung eines gemischten Calciumbariumalkylphenolsulfids
wurde wie folgt hergestellt: Eine Mischung von mo g tert.-Octylphenolsulfid (hergestellt gemäß Beispiel 1),
1620 g eines paraffinbasischen Mid-Continent-Mineral- n5
Schmieröls, 180 g handelsüblichem Stearylalkohol und g Calciumhydroxyd wurden in einen 12 1, mit
inem Rührwerk und Rückflußkühler versehenen Kolben gegeben und 10 Stunden auf 120 bis 1250
irhitzt; nach dieser Zeit waren 83 % der theoretischen
Wassermenge aus der Reaktion durch den Wasserabscheider des Rückflußkühlers entfernt. Die Mischung
wurde dann auf 1500 erhitzt und unter Anwendung von Filtriererde filtriert. Das ölkonzentrat
von Calcium-tert.-octyrphenolsulfid enthielt 2,82 °/0
"alcium und 4,13 °/0 Schwefel.
i5<)0 g tics auf vorstellende Weise erhaltenen Konzentrats
wurden auf I2o° erhitzt und während 1 1I2 Stunden unter ständigem Rühren mit 476 g Bariumhydroxydoctahydrat
versetzt. Das Erhitzen wurde 2 Stunden bei 1400 fortgesetzt und Stickstoff durcli
die Mischung während der gesamten Reaktionszeit durchgeblasen. Das Produkt wurde dann nitriert,
wobei ein Gelkonzentrat anfiel, das ungefähr enthielt: 40% Calciunibarium-tert.-octylphenolsulfid, 6 °/o Stearylalkohol
und 54% Mineralschmieröl. Analyse: 2,26 °/0 Calcium, 7,53 % Barium, 3,66 °/0 Schwefel.
1000 g des Calciumbarium-tert.-octylphenolsulndkonzentrats
wurden in einen Eisenkessel gegeben und unter Rühren und Durchblasen von Stickstoff auf
i8o° erhitzt. Dann wurden während 30 Minuten 60 g P2S5 zugegeben, wobei die Temperatur während der
ersten 15 Minuten auf 195"' stieg und dann auf i8o°
fiel. Das Erhitzen wurde weitere 30 Minuten fortgeführt, die Mischung auf 150' gekühlt und filtriert.
Das filtrierte Produkt wurde 4 Stunden bei i8o° mit Stickstoff ausgeblasen, um die Entfernung jeglichen
restlichen H2S zu gewährleisten. Das fertige Zusatzkonzentrat
enthielt 7,11 °/0 Barium, 2,21 °/0 Calcium,
1,76 °/„ Phosphor und 6,94°/,, Schwefel, und für Mischzwecke
enthielt es 40 Gewichtsprozent wirksamen Zusatzmittels.
Die Herstellung eines Reaktionsproduktes aus Bariumdiamylphenolsulüd
wird beschrieben.
a) 1404 g (6 Mol) 2,4-Diamylphenol wurden in
4212 g Solventnaphtha (Siedebereich 98,9 bis 140,6°;
65 bis 70 °/0 aromatische Bestandteile) gelöst und in ein Reaktiousgefäß gegeben, das mit einem Rührer
und Rückilußkühli-r versehen war. Während 2 Stunden
wurden 464 g (4,5 Mol) Schwefeldichlorid zu der gerührten Lösung gegeben, und die Temperatur wurde
auf 20 bis 25: gehalten. Die Mischung wurde eine
weitere Stunde gerührt und dann 2 Stunden auf Rückflußtemperatur erhitzt, worauf das Lösungsmittel
bei einer Höchsttemperatur von 148,9° in einem i Stickstoffstrom abdestilliert. Das erhaltene Diamyl- [
phenolsulfid hatte einen Schwefelgchalt von 10,05 °/0. ;
b) Gemäß der unter a) beschriebenen Weise wurde | Diamylphenoklisultid aus 1404 g 2,4-Diamylphenol !
und 608 g Schwefelmonochlorid hergestellt; dies entspricht 1,5 Mol S2Cl2 auf 2 Mol Alkylphenol. Das
Produkt enthielt 16,55% Schwefel.
c) 170 g Diamylphenolsulfid (gemäß Abschnitt a) und 180 g Diamylphenoldisulfid (gemäß Abschnitt b)
wurden in 550 g raffiniertem paraffinbasischem Mid-Continent-Mincralschmicröl
gelöst. 110 g handelsüblichen Stearylalkohols wurden zugegeben und die
Temperatur wurde auf iio° gesteigert. Während
11Z2 Stunden wurden 273 g Bariumhydroxydoctahydrat
zugegeben, die Mischung gerührt, mit Stickstoff ausgeblasen und die Temperatur auf 110 bis 1200 gehalten.
Nach einer weiteren Rührzeit von 15 Minuten und Durchblasen von Stickstoff wurde die Mischung
auf 1300 erhitzt und filtriert, was ein Konzentrat ergab,
welches 40 °/0 Bariumdiamylphenolsulfiddisulfid, io°/0
Stearylalkohol und 50 °/0 Mineralschmieröl enthielt.
Analyse: 5,96°/0 Barium, 3,44°/0 Schwefel.
327 g des ölkonzentrats von Bariumdiamylphenolsulfiddisulnd
wurden unter Rühren auf iio° erhitzt. Während 5 Minuten wurden 32,7 g P2S5 zugegeben,
wodurch ein Anstieg der Temperatur auf 1500 verursacht
wurde. Die Temperatur wurde dann auf 1300 gesenkt und auf dieser Höhe 1 Stunde gehalten,
worauf das Reaktionsprodukt abfiltriert wurde. Das filtrierte Konzentrat enthielt ungefähr 40 °/0 an wirksamem
Zusatzmittel; Analyse: 5,53% Barium, 2,39% Phosphor und 7,78% Schwefel.
Mit diesem Beispiel wird die Herstellung eines erfindungsgemäßen Zusatzmittels in sogenannter reiner
Form, d. h. nicht als ein Zusatzkonzentrat in einer Mineralöllösung veranschaulicht.
a) 2060 g (10 Mol) tert.-Octylphenol, hergestellt
gemäß Beispiel 1, wurden in ungefähr 5 1 Chloroform in einem 12-l-Reaktionskolben gelöst, der mit Rührer
undRückflußkühler versehen war .Während 31Z2 Stunden
wurden 850 g (7,5 Mol plus 10 % Überschuß) Schwefeldichlorid zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch
auf 25 bis 35° gehalten. Hierauf wurde das Reaktionsgemisch 5 Stunden auf 550 erhitzt, um die
Reaktion zu Ende zu führen. Das Endprodukt bestand aus 6420 ecm Chloroformlösung, die 2305 g tert.-Octylphenolsulfid
enthielt. Eine Analyse eines Teiles des lösungsmittelfreien Produktes ergab, daß es
11,33 % Schwefel enthielt; dies würde einem Produkt entsprechen, das im Durchschnitt ungefähr 1,6 Atom
Schwefel auf jedes Paar aromatischer Kerne enthält.
b) 2496 ecm der gemäß Abschnitt a erhaltenen Chloroformlösung, welche 922 g tert.-Octylphenolsulfid
enthielt, wurden in einen 5-1-Kolben gegeben, der mit einem Rückflußkühler mit Wasserabscheider
versehen war und ungefähr 75 °/0 des Chloroforms unter Vakuum entfernt. Dann wurden 2 1 reines
Xylol zugegeben, und die Temperatur wurde auf 1400 gesteigert, wodurch das restliche Chloroform in den
Wasserabscheider des Rückflußkühlers destilliert und aus diesem entfernt wurde. Während eines Zeitraumes
von 14 Stunden wurden unter Rühren 651 g Ba(OH)2-8
H2O zugegeben, die Temperatur wurde auf 1400
gehalten und das Reaktionswasser durch den Wasserabscheider entfernt. Nach einem weiteren 3stündigen
Erhitzen wurde kein weiteres Wasser in dem Wasserabscheider gesammelt. Die Mischung wurde no
dann abfiltriert und durch Erhitzen des Filtrats auf dem Wasserbade der größte Teil des Xylols entfernt.
Der restliche Teil des Lösungsmittels wurde unter Vakuum bei 1400 entfernt". Das Produkt war ein
harzartiger fester Körper, der 20,65 °/0 Barium und 8,46% Schwefel enthielt.
c) 350 g des festen gemäß Abschnitt b gewonnenen
Barium-tert.-octylphenolsulfids wurden in 1500 ecm
Xylol in einem 5-1-Kolben gelöst, der mit einem Rührer und Rückflußkühler versehen war, und auf
1400 erhitzt. Während 4 Stunden wurden unter
Rühren allmählich 52,2 g P2S5 zugegeben und das
Erhitzen weitere 3 Stunden auf 1400 fortgesetzt.
Während der gesamten Reaktionszeit von 7 Stunden wurde ein Stickst off strom durch die Mischung geleitet,
um die Entfernung von H2S zu erleichtern.
Die das Endprodukt enthaltende Xylollösung wurde filtriert und das Filtrat vom Lösungsmittel durch
Erhitzen auf dem Wasserbad und schließlich unter Vakuum bei ioo° entfernt. Das Endprodukt war ein
leicht gelbes festes, in Mineralöl lösliches Material. Es enthielt 18,4 °/0 Barium, 16,04 °/o Schwefel und
3,96 °/0 Phosphor.
Claims (2)
- ' Patentansprüche:i. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Zusatzstoffen für flüssige Petroleumkohlenwasserstoffe, besonders Schmieröle, Treibstoffe für Otto- und Dieselmotoren, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß Schwefel und Phosphor bzw. ein Phosphorsulfid mit einem Metallsalz, vorzugsweise des Calciums, Bariums, Magnesiums, Strontiums oder Zinks, einer Verbindung der allgemeinen FormelR-Ar-S^ — R1,XHworin Ar einen aromatischen Rest, besonders der Benzolreihe, R ein Wasserstoffatom oder einen oder mehrere organische Reste, besonders einen Alkylrest mit vorzugsweise verzweigter Kette, X ein Nichtmetallatom der VI. Gruppe des Periodischen Systems, vorzugsweise ein Sauerstoffatom, S ein Schwefelatom, χ eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 4, R1 einen einwertigen organischen Rest bedeuten und R1 auch den Rest — Ar — R bedeuten kann,XHumgesetzt wird und dabei die Komponenten vorzugsweise so gewählt werden, daß die an jeden aromatischen Rest Ar gebundene Gruppe oder gebundenen Gruppen 5 bis 25 Kohlenstoff atome enthalten.
- 2. Ausführungsform des Verfahrens nach Anspruch i, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man als Ausgangsverbindungen zur Umsetzung mit dem Schwefel-Phosphor-Gemischen bzw. -Verbindungen Metallsalze verwendet, die durch Alkylieren eines Oxybenzols, besonders Phenol, mit einem Olefin mit mindestens 4 Kohlenstoffatomen im Molekül, besonders Diisobutylen, in Gegenwart eines Kondensationskatalysators, Umsetzen des alkylierten Phenols mit einem Schwefelchlorid und Überführen des so erhaltenen Alkylphenolsulfids, zweckmäßig nach Lösen in einem Mineralöl, das eine kleinere Menge eines höhermolekularen Alkohols enthält, in ein Metallsalz erhältlich sind.5518 11.52
