Palette aus extrudierten Kunststoffprofilen
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Palette aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffen zum Lagern und Transportieren von stapelfähigen Gütern.
r"ur Bildung von Einheitsladungen im Zusammenhang mit dem Ein- : f. von Gabelstaplern und Gabelhubwagen werden üblicherweise Stapelplatten verwendet. Die Abmessungen solcher Stapelplatten sind nach DIN 15 141 und DIN 15 146 genormt und betragen 800 χ 1000, 800 χ 1200 sowie 1000 χ 1200 mm, wobei die Mittelgröße bevorzugt wird. Es sind Ausführungen aus Holz, Pa-'1*» Preßstoffen, Stahl sowie Leichtmetall bekannt. Im allgemeinen sind Stapelplatten so aufgebaut, daß mehrere Grund- und Belagbretter durch Querbretter und Zwischenblöcke in bestimmtem Abstand gehalten und mittels durchgehender Schrauben verbunden werden.
Es ist ferner bekannt, {leutedies Gebrauchsmuster 6 911 988) eine Palette durch Preßgießen, Stanzen oder Formen aus geeigneten Materialien, auch aus Kunststoffen, herzustellen. Dabei besteht die Palette wenigstens aus einer dünnen, an ihrer Oberfläche örtliche Austiefungen aufweisenden Platte, wobei die Austiefungen so angeordnet sind, daß sie eine Anzahl freier Durchgänge zur Aufnahme der Greifarme eines Hebe- oder Transportwerkzeugeβ in zwei senkrecht zueinander stehenden Richtungen schaffen.
Bei einer weiteren bekannten Vierweg-Flachpalette aus Kunststoff (Kunststoffe - Plastics 9/1969 - Seite 361) erfolgt die Herstellung nach dem Spritzgußverfahren. Auch die Herstellung von Paletten nach dem Blasverfahren ist bekannt.
Diese Paletten befriedigen jedoch nicht in jeder Hinsicht5 sei es, daß bei Paletten aus Holz diese nicht säure- und laugenbeständig und infolge Wasseraufnahme nicht formbeständig sind und kein konstantes Gewicht haben, oder sei es, daß Tragfähigkeit und Bruchsicherheit der Paletten nicht ausreichend hoch sind,

oder daß bestimmte Plattenkonstruktionen eine breitflächige Auflage verschiedener Güter verbieten.
Es war daher Aufgabe der Erfindung, eine Palette aus Kunststoffen zu finden, die auf einfache Weise kontinuierlich gefertigt werden kann.
Diese Aufgabe wird durch eine Palette aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffen gelöst, erfindungsgemäß dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Palette aus einem extrudierten Hohlprofil besteht und 35 bis 70 % Füllstoffe, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der Palette, in homogener Verteilung enthält.
In einer vorteilhaften Ausführungsform ist der thermoplastische Kunststoff Polväthylen, schlagfestes Polystyrol oder Polyvinylchlorid und enthält Füllstoffe, wie Kunststoff-, Papier- und/ oder Holzabfälle.
Bei einer weiteren vorteilhaften Ausführungsform sind in das Hohlprofil Einlagen mit hoher Biegefestigkeit eingelassen.
Geeignete thermoplastische Kunststoffe sind die für die Herstellung extrudierter Hohlprofile üblicherweise verwendeten Polymeren, wie Homo- und Copolymere des Äthylens, des Propylens oder Copolymere des Styrols, des Vinylchlorids und des Vinylidenchlorids. Ferner eignen sich auch Polyamide, lineare PoIy-" ester und Polycarbonate. Außer diesen kommen als Rohstoffe für die erfindungsgemäße Palette Styrol-Polymerisate, wie Co- und Pfropfpolymere mit einpolymerisierten Styrol-Butadien-Einheiten oder Styrol-Butadien-Acrylnitril-Einheiten, sowie Polyvinylchlorid und gegebenenfalls Copolymere des Vinylchlorids mit copolymerisierbaren Estern aus aliphatischen Alkoholen mit 1 bis 8 C-Atomen und olefinisch ungesättigten Carbonsäuren mit 3 bis 5 C-Atomen, insbesondere Maleinsäureester oder Vinylester aliphatischer Monocarbonsäuren mit 2 bis 11 C-Atomen, insbesondere Vinylacetat und Vinylpropionat, in Frage.
Füllstoffe im Sinne der Erfindung sind bevorzugt feinteilige Kunststoff-, Papier- und/oder Holzabfälle mit einer Dicke von 0,1 bis 1 mm und einer Länge von 1 bis 10 mm, deren Anteil am

Gesamtgewicht der Palette zweckmäßig 35 bis 70 #, vorteilhaft 45 bis 55 i<>% beträgt. Die Komponenten der Formmasse werden in geeigneten Aggregaten, beispielsweise Messer- oder Schlagmühlen zerkleinert und in Knetmaschinen gemischt. Die Weiterverarbeitung der Schmelze und Herstellung der Hohlprofile erfolgt dann, in an sich bekannter Weise, auf Extruderanlagen,
Zweckmäßige Hohlprofile sind Piachrohre von halber Palettenbreite oder Doppelflachrohre, in die vor oder nach dem Ablängen auf Fertigmaß, z.B. durch Fräsen oder Stanzen, seitliche Unterfahröffnungen einer lichten Weite von etwa 100 mm und Bodenaussparungen eingebracht werden. Überwiegend werden die Paletten in Kastenform ausgeführt, deren Standfläche aus Gründen des Transportgewichts ca. 40 i» der Tragfläche beträgt.
Mögliche Ausführungsformen der erfindungsgemäßen Palette sind in der Zeichnung, Figur 1 bis Figur 6, schematisch dargestellt.
Die Palettenhöhe beträgt im allgemeinen 120 bie 170 mm und ist neben der Profildicke ein Maß für die Tragfähigkeit. Die Tragfähigkeit kann dadurch wesentlich erhöht werden, daß die extrudierten Hohlprofile durch eingelegte biegesteife Stahl-, Aluminium- oder Holzprofile (Figur 4) verstärkt werden. Diese Verstärkungen lasssn sich aber auch bereits während des Extrusionsvorgangs einlegen und ummanteln.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Paletten haben ein Gewicht von 10 bis 20 kg und können Lasten von 3500 kp Gewicht und darüber aufnehmen.
Gemäß Figur 1 besteht die Palette aus zwei Profilen, die vorzugsweise durch Schweißen miteinander verbunden sind. Anstelle des Verschweißen ist es auch möglich, auf die Berühruagastellen der Profile einen Klebstoff aufzutragen, der eine sichere Verbindung ermöglicht. Die Auswahl der Klebstoffe richtet sich nach den verwendeten Palettenmaterialien. Geeignete Klebstoffe sind beispielsweise solche auf Basis von Polyacrylaten, Syntheseoder Naturkautschuk und Polychloropren, die in Form ihrer Lösungen in organischen Lösungsmitteln, wie Benzol, Toluol oder Methylenchlorid, oder in Form ihrer wäßrigen Dispersionen einge-

setzt werden, die auch übliche klebrigmachende Harze, z.B. auf Basis modifizierter Naturharze enthalten können. Soweit die Paletten aus Polyvinylchlorid oder Polyvinylidenchlorid bestehen, können anstelle von Klebstoffen der genannten Art auch Lösungsmittel, die wie Methylenchlorid, Cyclohexanon oder Tetrahydrofuran die genannten Thermoplaste quellen, verwendet werden.
Durch die Art der Herstellung (Extrudieren) der erfindungögemäßen Paletten ist es möglich, günstige Oberflächenrauhigkeiten der Trag- bzw. Standflächen zu erreichen und so ein breites Anwendungsgebiet z.B. für in Säcken verpackte Schüttgüter zu schaffen. Weitere Vorteile sind hohe Bruchsicherheit, hohe Tragfestigkeit, gute Witterungsbeständigkeit und gute Säure- und Laugenbeständigkeit. Ferner haben die Paletten stets konstantes Gewicht, da so gut wie keine Wasseraufnahme möglich ist.

1. Pal^f-ί? aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffen zum Lagern und Transportieren von stapelfähigen Gütern, dadurch gekennzeichne4 -daß die Palette aus einem extrudierten Hohlprofil best' 1Ud 35 bis 70 f° Füllstoffe, bezogen auf das Gesamtge-Wi1 ' der Palette, in homogener Verteilung enthält.
2. Palette gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Palette aus mehreren extrudierten Profilen, vorzugsweise Hohlprofilen, zusammengesetzt ist.
3. Palette gemäß den Ansprüchen 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der thermoplastische Kunststoff Polyäthylen, schlagfestes Polystyrol oder Polyvinylchlorid ist.
4. Palette gemäß den Ansprüchen 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Füllstoffe Kunststoff-, Papier- und/oder Holzabfälle verwendet werden.
5. Palette gemäß den Ansprüchen 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in die extrudierten Hohlprofile Einlagen mit hoher Biegefestigkeit eingelassen sind.
