- Hintergrund
- Feld der Erfindung
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft optisch transparente hitze- und schlagfestes Polyurethan.
- Hintergrund der Erfindung
- Zur Zeit ist Polykarbonat das Standardmaterial, mit dem alle optisch transparenten Plastikmaterialien in Bezug auf Schlagfestigkeit verglichen werden. Diese Materialien können durch die Temperatur und den Druck, bei dem das Material sich verformt, charakterisiert werden. Die Wärme-Formbeständigkeitstemperatur oder Erweichungstemperatur beim Erwärmen von Serie 9034 klarem Polykarbonat ist 138°C (280°F) bei 1820 kPa (264 psi).
- Polykarbonat hat ein V-50 0.22 cal FSP (Fragment Simulierendes Projektil) Einschlag-Rating von 282 m/s (925 feet/second). Das heisst, dass 50% von Kaliber 22 Projektilen, welche durch eine 0.635 cm (0.250'') Polykarbonatplatte geschossen werden, in eine 0.508 mm (20 mils) dicke 2024 T6 Aluminiumplatte (die „Zeugenplatte" oder „witness shield") eindringen, die 15,2 cm (6 inches) hinter der Rückseite der Polykarbonatplatte platziert ist.
- U.S. Patent Nr. 3,866,242 offenbart ein Polyurethanpolymer-Schutzschild. Das Polyurethan wird hergestellt durch:
- (a) Reaktion eines Polyetherglykols oder eines Polyesterglykols mit einem Molekulargewicht von etwa 700 bis 1000 mit Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) in einem Equivalenzverhältnis von etwa drei NCO zu jedem Hydroxyl um ein Präpolymer zu bilden, und
- (b) Reaktion des Präpolymers mit einem aromatischen Amin-Härtemittel mit einer Methylenbrücke zwischen zwei aromatischen Ringen, wie zum Beispiel 4,4'-Methylenbis(2-chloranilin), in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 0.90 bis 1.04 NH2/1.0 NCO.
- U.S. Patent Nr. 4,808,690 offenbart ein transparentes Polyurethanpolymer, das aus einem polyolgehärteten Präpolymer hergestellt ist. Das Präpolymer ist aus einem Polyisocyanat und mindestens einem multifunktionalen Hydroxy-haltigen Zwischenprodukt.
- ZUSAMMENFASSUNG DER ERFINDUNG
- Das optisch klare Polyurethan der vorliegenden Erfindung kann hergestellt werden indem zuerst ein Präpolymer mittels Reaktion von einem Äquivalent eines Polyesterglykols oder einem Polyetherglykol mit einem Gewichtsmittel der molekularen Masse zwischen etwa 600 und etwa 1200 mit 4,4'-Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 2.5 bis 4.5 NCO für jedes OH, mit einem bevorzugten Verhältnis von etwa 3 bis 3.5 NCO für jedes OH. Das Präpolymer wird dann mit einem aromatischen Diamin Härtemittel, wie zum Beispiel 4,4'-Methylenbis(3-chloro-2,6-diethylanilin), in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 0.95 bis 1.02 NH2/1.0 NCO umgesetzt, wobei der bevorzugte Bereich von 0.96 bis 1.0 NH2/1.0 NCO reicht.
- Das Polyurethan gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung ist besonders geeignet für transparente Anwendungen, die exzellente Schlagfestigkeit kombiniert mit hohen Erweichungstemperaturen beim Erwärmen verlangen, wie zum Beispiel Verglasungen für Gebäude, Fahrzeuge, Schutzschilder für Ordnungsdienste, Cockpithauben für Flugzeuge und Gesichtsmasken.
- Es ist eine Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von optisch transparenten Plastikplatten zur Verfügung zu stellen, welche in Anwendungen, die exzellente Schlagfestigkeit, exzellente chemische Beständigkeit und eine hohe Erweichungstemperatur beim Erwärmen verlangen, zum Einsatz kommen.
- Es ist eine weitere Aufgabe dieser Erfindung transparente Polyurethane zur Verfügung zu stellen, die im Vergleich zu den aus dem Stand der Technik bekannten Materialien exzellente optische Klarheit, exzellente ballistische Eigenschaften und hohe Erweichungstemperaturen beim Erwärmen aufweisen.
- Diese und andere Aufgaben der vorliegenden Erfindung sind ausführlicher in der detaillierten Beschreibung der Erfindung, den Beispielen und den beiliegenden Ansprüchen.
- AUSFÜHRLICHE BESCHREIBUNG DER ERFINDUNG
- Das Polyurethan gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung wird hergestellt aus aliphatischen Diisocyanaten; OH-haltigen Zwischenprodukten ausgewählt aus der Gruppe umfassend Polyesterglykole, Polyetherglykole und Gemischen davon; und aromatischen Diamin-Härtemitteln. Es folgt eine detaillierte Beschreibung von jedem dieser Bestandteile:
- OH-haltige Zwischenprodukte
- Die OH-enthaltenden Zwischenprodukte welche zur Herstellung der Polyurethane gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung gebraucht werden können sind Polyesterglykole und Polyetherglykole die ein Gewichtsmittel der molekularen Masse zwischen etwa 500 und etwa 1200 aufweisen. Polyesterglykole und Polyetherglykole mit einem Molekulargewicht von 600 bis 900 sind besonders effektiv. Polyetherglykole die eingesetzt werden können umfassen Polytetramethylen-Etherglykole die ein Gewichtsmittel der molekularen Masse zwischen etwa 500 und etwa 1000 aufweisen.
- Typische Polyester, welche bei der Herstellung der Zusammensetzungen gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung zum Einsatz kommen, umfassen Polycaprolactone und Polyester basierend auf Veresterung von Dicarboxylsäuren mit vier bis zehn Kohlenstoffatomen, wie zum Beispiel Adipinsäure, Bernsteinsäure und Decandisäure, in der Anwesenheit von Glykolen mit niederem Molekulargewicht mit zwei bis zehn Kohlenstoffatomen, wie zum Beispiel Ethylenglykol, Propylenglykol, Diethylenglykol, 1,4-Butandiol, 1,6-Hexandiol und 1,10-Decandiol. Die Polycaprolactone werden hergestellt durch Kondensation von Caprolacton im Beisein von bifunktionalen Hydrogen-Verbindungen wie zum Beispiel Wasser oder den oben aufgelisteten Glykolen mit niedrigem Molekulargewicht. Zur Herstellung von Polyestern mittels Veresterung von Caprolactonen, Dicarbonsäuren und Glykolen können wohlbekannte Veresterungs- und Umesterungs-Verfahren, wie sie zum Beispiel im Artikel D. M. Young, F. Hostettler et al., „Polyesters from Lactone." Union Carbide F-40, p. 147 beschrieben sind, verwendet werden. Die bevorzugten OH-haltigen Zwischenprodukte sind Polyesterglykole, die die Veresterungsprodukte von Adipinsäure oder Caprolacton mit Glykolen mit zwei bis zehn Kohlenstoffatomen sind. Die am meisten bevorzugten OH-haltigen Zwischenprodukte sind 1,6-Hexandiol-Adipate oder 1,10-Decandiol-Adipate oder 1,10-Decandiol-Caprolactone.
- Isocyanate
- Die Isocyanate, die zur Herstellung der Polyurethane gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung verwendet werden können, umfassen Diisocyanato-dicyclohexylmethane und vorzugsweise isometrische Gemische davon, die von etwa 20 bis 100 Prozent des trans, trans-Isomers von 4,4'-Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) enthalten und nachfolgend „PICM" genannt werden. Andere Bestandteile, die üblicherweise in der Mischung aus Positions- und/oder Stereoisomeren der Diisocyanato-dicyclohexylmethane wie sie gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung eingesetzt werden, sind die cis,trans- und cis,cis-Isomere von PICM und Stereoisomere von 2,4'-Methylenbis(Cyclohexylisocyanat). Diese, ebenso wie das trans, trans Isomer von PICM, liegen in solchen Mengen vor, wie sie durch die Verfahren zur Herstellung der Diisocyanato-dicyclohexylmethane kontrolliert werden können. Bevorzugte Diisocyanate sind isomere PICM Gemische. Eine besonders bevorzugtes Gemisch enthält nicht weniger als etwa 50 Prozent des trans, trans-Isomers und nicht mehr als etwa 20 Prozent des cis, cis-Isomers von 4,4'-Methylenbis(Cyclohexylisocyanat). Wird diese bevorzugte Mischung mit einem Polyesterglycol zur Reaktion gebracht und mit 4,4'-Methylenbis(3-chloro-2,6-diethylanilin) gehärtet so entsteht ein hochqualitatives schalgfestes, transparentes Polyurethan.
- Das PICM, welches in der vorliegenden Erfindung benutzt wird, wird durch Phosgenierung des korrespondierenden 4,4'-Methylenbis(cyclohexylamin)(PACM) mittels bekannter Verfahren gewonnen, wie sie zum Beispiel in den U.S. Patenten 2,644,007, 2,680,127 und 2,908,703 offenbart sind. Die PACM Isomergemische liefern nach der Phosgenierung bei Raumtemperatur PICM in einer flüssigen Phase, einer teilweise flüssigen Phase, oder einer festen Phase. Die PACM Isomergemische können durch Hydrierung von Methylendianilin und/oder fraktioneller Kristallisation von PACM Isomergemischen im Beisein von Wasser und Alkoholen, wie Methanol und Ethanol, gewonnen werden.
- Diamin-Härtemittel
- Die aromatischen Diamin-Härtemittel, welche bei der Herstellung der Polyurethane gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung genutzt werden können, weisen nur primäre Amingruppen auf. Die bevorzugten Diamin-Härtemittel haben die folgende chemische Formel: worin R1 und R2 jeweils unabhängig voneinander aus Methyl-, Ethyl-, Propyl- und Isopropyl-Gruppen, und R3 aus Wasserstoff und Chlor ausgewählt sind. Beispiele für die bevorzugten Diamin-Härtemittel sind die folgenden Verbindungen, hergestellt von der Firma Lonza AG (Basel, Schweiz):

- Die Polyurethane gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung können mittels „one shot", quasi-präpolymer oder voll präpolymeren Verfahren hergestellt werden, welche alle dem Fachmann wohlbekannt sind. Die bevorzugte Herstellungsmethode für die erfindungsgemässen Polyurethane ist die Folgende: Das Methylenbis (cyclohexylisocyanat) wird zuerst mit dem OH-haltigen Zwischenprodukt vermischt in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 2.5 bis 4.5 NCO/1.0 OH und dann auf 88 bis 135°C (190–275°F), vorzugsweise 127 bis 135°C (260–275°F), erhitzt. Die Mischung wird anschliessend unter trockenem Stickstoff erhitzt, do dass das Methylenbis (cyclohexylisocyanat) mit dem OH-haltigen Zwischenprodukt reagiert und ein Präpolymer bildet. Die Wärmequelle wird dann entfernt, das Präpolymer wird auf etwa 71°C (160°F) gekühlt und der prozentuale Anteil NCO wird bestimmt. Zusätzliches Methylenbis (cyclohexylisocyanat) wird dann zugegeben um das Äquivalenzgewicht von 415 bis 425 zu erreichen. Das Präpolymer wird dann mit dem Diamin-Härtemittel in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 0.95 bis 1.02 NH2/1.0 NCO zur Reaktion gebracht. Das Präpolymer wird dann bei 116 bis 135°C (240–275°F) für 4 bis 16 Stunden ausgehärtet. Die Härtezeit ist länger bei niedrigeren Temperaturen und kürzer bei höheren Temperaturen.
- Bevorzugte Präpolymere zum Gebrauch in der vorliegenden Erfindung werden aus Adipinsäure/Hexandiol Polyester mit einem Gewichtsmittel der molekularen Masse von etwa 1000 und 4,4'-Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat), welches mindestens 50% des trans, trans Isomers und höchstens 20% des cis, cis isomeren PICM enthält, hergestellt. Das Äquivalenzverhältnis von NCO Gruppen zu OH Gruppen ist etwa drei zu eins.
- Die Polyurethane gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung können gegossen, gepresst, extrudiert oder spritzgegossen werden. Giessen ist die bevorzugte Methode, da es zu einem Polyurethanpolymer mit optimalen optischen Eigenschaften führt.
- Das Präpolymer kann vor dem Härten in eine Form gegossen werden. Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung kann auch teilweise gehärtet werden, indem eine entsprechende Härtezeit und -temperatur ausgewählt wird, und anschliessend kann es in die gewünschte Form gebracht werden. Mit diesem Verfahren kann das Polyurethan-Material in eine einfache oder komplexe Form gebracht werden und anschliessend vollständig ausgehärtet werden.
- Ein Triol kann dem Präpolymer zugegeben werden im einer Menge, die ausreicht um zu einer einprozentigen Quervernetzung zu führen, basierend auf Äquivalenten der Reaktanden, zum Beispiel 4 bis 8% bezogen auf das Gewicht basierend auf dem Total der Reaktanden. Triole, die in der vorliegenden Erfindung vorzugsweise zum Einsatz kommen sind Trimethylolethan und Trimethylolpropan. Die Zugabe eines Triols zum Präpolymer erhöht die Erweichungstemperatur beim Erwärmen und verbessert die ballistischen Eigenschaften des gehärteten Polyurethans. Die Schlagfestigkeit und die Festigkeit gegen Rissausbreitung der Polyurethane gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung kann durch die Zugabe von aktiviertem Polybuten mit Epoxidfunktionalität an einem Ende erhöht werden, um die Bildung von Mikrofehlstellen im Polyurethan zu fördern. Ein aktiviertes Polybuten kann dem Präpolymer in einer Mengenbereich von 2.0 bis 2.5% Gewichtsanteil basierend auf dem Präpolymer zugegeben werden, ohne dass dadurch die gewünschten optischen Eigenschaften und die gewünschte Wärme-Formbeständigkeit negativ beeinflusst werden. Die Zugabe von Mengen über 2.5% Gewichtsanteil basierend auf dem Präpolymer kann zu einem lichtdurchlässigen bis undurchlässigen Polyurethan führen. Aktivierte Polybutene, die sich für die vorliegende Erfindung als vorteilhaft erwiesen haben umfassen Verbindungen mit der folgenden Formel: worin n einen Bereich an Werten annehmen kann, so dass das Gewichtsmittel der molaren Masse bei etwa 365 liegt. Ein Beispiel für ein solches aktiviertes Polybuten ist Actipol E6, erhältlich bei Elf Atochem.
- Verschiedene Anti-Oxidationsmittel, UV-Stabilisatoren und Entformungs-Hilfsmittel können bei der Herstellung der Polyurethane gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung eingesetzt werden. Dem Präpolymer können zum Beispiel eines oder mehrere Anti-Oxidationsmittel in einer Menge von 1 bis 5%, bezogen auf das Gewicht basierend auf dem Total der Reaktanden, zugegeben werden. Anti-Oxidationsmittel die nützlich für die vorliegende Erfindung sind umfassen die des multifunktionalen gehinderten Phenoltyps. Ein Beispiel eines Anti-Oxidationsmittels des multifunktionalen gehinderten Phenoltyps ist Irganox 1010, erhältlich von Ciba Geigy, das die folgende chemische Formel aufweist:
- Ein UV-Stabilisator kann auch zum Präpolymer zugegeben werden. Dies geschieht entweder vor oder während dem Härteschritt, in einer Menge von 1.5 bis 2.0% bezogen auf das Gewicht basierend auf dem Total der Reaktanden. Die UV-Stabilisatoren, die vorzugsweise in der Erfindung zum Einsatz kommen, umfassen Benzotriazole. Beispiele für Benzotriazol UV-Stabilisatoren umfassen Cyasorb 5411 und Tinuvin 328. Cyasorb 5411, erhältlich bei American Cyanamid, hat die folgende chemische Formel:

- Ein weiterer UV-Stabilisator der verwendet werden kann ist Cyasorb 3604, erhältlich von American Cyanamid, mit der folgenden chemischen Formel:
- Die Polyurethane der vorliegenden Erfindung können zwischen Glasplatten gegossen werden, wobei die Glasplatten vorzugsweise vor dem Giessen mit einem Entformungs-Hilfsmittel beschichtet werden. Vorteilhafte Entformungs-Hilfsmittel gemäss der vorliegenden Erfindung umfassen Silane, zum Beispiel Repcon Regenabweiser (Repcon rain repellant) erhältlich bei Unelko corporation (Chicago, Illinois).
- BEISPIELE
- In den folgenden Beispielen sind alle Anteile als Gewichtsäquivalente oder Gewichtsprozenten angegeben, sofern nichts anderes angegeben ist. Die Beispiele sind Anschauungsbeispiele und sind stellvertretend für die verschiedenen Ausführungsformen der vorliegenden Erfindung, wie sie oben beschrieben ist.
- Die Materialien, die in den folgenden Beispielen verwendet werden stammen von den folgenden kommerziellen Quellen:
4,4'-Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) Miles Industrial Chemicals 1,6-Hexandioladipate RUCO Polymer Corporation 4,4'-Methylenbis(3-chloro-2,6-diethylanilin) Air Products and Chemicals Inc. Trimethylolpropan Hoechst Celanese Trimethylolethan Aldrich Irganox 1010 Ciba Geigy Cyasorb 5411 American Cyanamid Cyasorb 3604 American Cyanamid Tinuvin 328 Ciba Geigy Actipol E6 Elf Atochem Repton Unelko Corporation - Beispiel I
- Ein Polymer wurde hergestellt durch Zugabe von 2.187 Teilen von 1,6 Hexandioladipat (Molekulargewicht 1,038) zu 1.813 Teilen von 4,4'-Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) (enthaltend annähernd 50% des trans,trans Isomers) bei 82–93°C (180–200°F). Die Mischung wurde unter einer trockene N2 Decke geschüttelt und auf eine Temperatur von 135°C (275°F) für etwa 60 Minuten erhitzt. Danach wurde die Wärmequelle entfernt. Das Präpolymer wurde auf 71°C (160°F) gekühlt für etwa 30 Minuten und der prozentuale Anteil NCO wurde bestimmt. (Die Abkühlzeit ist kein kritischer Parameter.) Zusätzliches 4,4'-Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) wurde dann zugegeben um das Äquivalenzgewicht von 420 zu erreichen. Das Präpolymer wird dann mit 4,4'-Methylenbis (3-chloro-2,6-diethylanilin) in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 1.0 NCO zu 0.98 NH2 Gruppen zur Reaktion gebracht. Das Präpolymer wurde anschliessend zwischen Glasplatten gegossen um optische Platten 0.635 cm × 30.5 cm × 30.5 cm (0.25 inches × 12 inches × 12 inches) und wurde dann bei 121°C (250°F) für 12 Stunden ausgehärtet. Die Glasplatten waren mit Repcon rain repellant als Entformungs-Hilfsmittel beschichtet.
- Das gehärtete Polyurethan wies die folgenden Eigenschaften auf:
Lichtdurchlässigkeit 85% Trübung 3.5% Shore „D" Härte 80–81 Erweichungstemperatur bei 1820 kPa (264 psi) 150°C (302°F) V-50, 0.22 cal FSP 360 m/s (1180 ft./sec.) - Die Lichtdurchlässigkeit und die Trübung wurden mit einem Gardener Laboratory XL 230 Kolorimeter gemessen.
- Beispiel II
- Zum Präpolymer, das entsprechend dem Beispiel I hergestellt wurde, wurden 1.5% Cyasorb 5411 und 0.2% Irganox 1010 zugegeben, basierend auf dem Gewicht des Präpolymers. Vor dem Giessen des Präpolymers wurde 0.25% Cyasorb 3604 zugegeben basierend auf dem Gesamtgewicht der Reaktanden (einschliesslich des Gewichtes des Härtemittels). Die Mischung wurde dann gegossen und gehärtet, wie im Beispiel I beschrieben. Die gehärtete Polyurethanplatte wies die folgenden Eigenschaften auf:
Lichtdurchlässigkeit 85% Trübung 3,5% Shore „D" Härte 80–81 V-50, 0.22 cal FSP 363 m/s (1192 ft./sec.) 1000 Stunden beschleunigte UV Bestrahlung keine Änderung in den obigen Eigenschaften 2000 Stunden beschleunigte UV Bestrahlung keine Änderung in den obigen Eigenschaften 6 Monate Freiland-Verwitterung (Phoenix, AZ) praktisch keine Änderung in den obigen Eigenschaften - Die Lichtdurchlässigkeit und die Trübung wurden wie in Beispiel I gemessen. Die ballistischen Eigenschaften des Polyurethan-Materials wurden weder von der beschleunigten UV Bestrahlung noch von der Freiland-Verwitterung beeinflusst.
- Beispiel III
- Zum Präpolymer, das gemäss Beispiel II hergestellt wurde, wurde Trimethylolpropan („TMP") zugegeben um eine einprozentige Quervernetzung basierend auf den Äquivalenten der Reaktanden zu erzielen. Eine Testplatte mit 0.635 cm × 30.5 cm × 30.5 cm (0.25 inches × 12 inches × 12 inches) wurde gegossen gemäss Beispiel I. Das gehärtete Polyurethan wies die folgenden Eigenschaften auf:
Lichtdurchlässigkeit 85% Trübung 3.5% Shore „D" Härte 80–81 Erweichungstemperatur bei 1820 kPa (264 psi) 160°C (320°F) V-50, 0.22 cal FSP 373 m/s (1224 ft./sec.) Haarrissbeständigkeit gegen Isopropylalkohol > 48265 kPa (7000 psi) - Die Lichtdurchlässigkeit und die Trübung wurden wie im Beispiel I gemessen. Die Zugabe des TMP verbesserte sowohl die Erweichungstemperatur wie auch den V-50 Test im Vergleich zu den Beispiel en I und II. Das V-50 Testergebnis zeigt eine 34%ige Verbesserung gegenüber Polykarbonat, und die Erweichungstemperatur ist 25°C (45°F) höher als die Erweichungstemperatur von Polykarbonat.
- Beispiel IV
- Zum Präpolymer, das gemäss Beispiel II hergestellt wurde, wurde 2.0 bis 2.5 Gewichtsprozent Actipol E6 zugegeben. Die Zugabe des Actipol E6 verbesserte zusätzlich die Schlagfestigkeit und die Festigkeit gegen Rissausbreitung der ausgehärteten Polyurethanplatte.
Claims (48)
- Ein Polyurethan-Material umfassend das Reaktionsprodukt von: (a) einem Polyurethan-Präpolymer hergestellt durch Reaktion von Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) mit einem OH-enthaltenden Zwischenprodukt, welches ein Gewichtsmittel der molekularen Masse zwischen etwa 500 und etwa 1200 aufweist und aus der Gruppe umfassend Polyesterglykole, Polyetherglylole und Gemischen davon in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 2.5 bis 4.5 NCO/1,0 OH ausgewählt ist; und (b) einem aromatischen Diamin-Härtemittel mit der Formel worin R1 und R2 beide unabhängig voneinander aus der Gruppe umfassend Methyl-, Ethyl-, Propyl- und Isopropylgruppen ausgewählt sind, und R3 Chlor ist in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 0.95 bis 1.02 NH2/1.0 NCO, wobei das Polyurethanmaterial eine Shore D Härte von wenigstens 80 hat.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss Patentanspruch 1, worin das Diamin-Härtemittel 4,4'-Methylenbis(3-chloro-2,6-diethylanilin) ist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 2, worin das Polyurethan-Material eine Erweichungstemperatur beim Erwärmen im Bereich von 99°C (210°F) bis 163°C (325°F) bei 1820 kPa (264 psi) aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 2, worin das Polyurethan-Material eine Erweichungstemperatur beim Erwärmen von wenigstens 149°C (300°F) bei 1820 kPa (264 psi) aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentausprüche 1 bis 2, worin das Polyurethan-Material eine Erweichungstemperatur beim Erwärmen von wenigstens 160°C (320°F) bei 1820 kPa (264 psi) aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 5, worin das Polyurethan-Material optisch klar ist, so dass eine 0.635 cm (0.25 inch) dicke Platte eine Lichtdurchlässigkeit von wenigstens 85% aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 6, worin das Polyurethan-Material optisch klar ist, so dass eine 0.635 cm (0.25 inch) dicke Platte eine Trübung von nicht mehr als 3.5% aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 7, worin eine 0.635 cm (0.25 inch) dicke Platte ein V-50 0.22 cal FSP Rating von wenigstens 335 m/s (110 feet/second) aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 8, worin das Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) mit dem OH-haltigen Zwischenprodukt in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 3 bis 3.5 NCO/1.0 OH umgesetzt wird.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 9, worin das Diamin-Härtemittel mit dem Präpolymer in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 0.96 bis 1.0 NH2/1.0 NCO umgesetzt wird.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 10, worin das Gewichtsmittel der molaren Masse des OH-haltigen Zwischenprodukts zwischen etwa 600 und etwa 900 liegt.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 11, worin das OH-haltige Zwischenprodukt wenigstens ein Polyesterglykol umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss Patentanspruch 12, worin der Polyesterglykol aus der Gruppe umfassend Polyesterglykole hergestellt aus 1,6-Hexandiol und Adipinsäure, Polyesterglykole hergestellt aus 1,10-Decandiol und Adipinsäure, Polyesterglykole hergestellt aus 1,10-Decandiol und Caprolakton und Mischungen davon ausgewählt ist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 13, worin das Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) 20 bis 100% des trans, trans Isomers von 4,4'-Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 13, worin das Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) wenigstens 50% des trans,trans Isomers von 4,4'-Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 15, worin das Präpolymer ferner ein aktiviertes Polybuten mit einer funktionellen Epoxidgruppe an einem Ende umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 17, worin das Präpolymer ferner einen UV-Stabilisator umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss Patentanspruch 18, worin der UV-Stabilisator aus der Gruppe ausgewählt ist, welche aus einer Verbindung mit der folgenden chemischen Formel: einer Verbindung mit der folgenden chemischen Formel: und einer Verbindung mit der folgenden chemischen Formel: ausgewählt ist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 19, worin das Präpolymer ferner ein Anti-Oxidationsmittel umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 21, worin das Polyurethan-Material eine exzellente Verwitterungsbeständigkeit im Freien aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Pateutansprüche 1 bis 17, worin das Polyurethan-Material eine exzellente Beständigkeit gegenüber Lösungsmitteln aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 23, worin das Präpolymer ferner ein Triol in einer ausreichenden Menge umfasst, um 1% Vernetzung basierend auf Äquivalenten der Reaktanden zu produzieren.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 1 bis 24, worin das Triol aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Trimethylolethan, Trimethylolpropan und Gemischen davon ausgewählt ist.
- Ein Polyurethan-Material umfassend das Reaktionsprodukt von: (a) einem Polyurethan-Präpolymer hergestellt durch Reaktion von Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) mit einem OH-enthaltenden Zwischenprodukt, welches ein Gewichtsmittel der molekularen Masse zwischen etwa 500 und etwa 1200 aufweist und aus der Gruppe unfassend Polyesterglycole, Polyetherglycole und Gemischen davon in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 2.5 bis 4.5 NCO/1,0 OH ausgewählt ist; und (b) einem aromatischen Diamin-Härtemittel mit der Formel worin R1 und R2 beide unabhängig voneinander aus der Gruppe umfassend Methyl-, Ethyl-, Propyl- und Isopropylgruppen ausgewählt sind, und R3 aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Wasserstoff und Chlor ausgewählt ist, in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 0.95 bis 1.02 NH2/1.0 NCO; worin das Polyurethan-Material eine Shore D Härte von wenigstens 80 und eine Erweichungstemperatur beim Erwärmen im Bereich von 99°C (210°F) bis 163°C (325°F) bei 1820 kPa (264 psi) aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan–Material gemäss Patentanspruch 26, worin das Polyurethan-Material eine Erweichungstemperatur beim Erwärmen von wenigstens 149°C (300°F) bei 1820 kPa (264 psi) aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss Patentanspruch 26, worin das Polyurethan-Material eine Erweichungstemperatur beim Erwärmen von wenigstens 160°C (320°F) bei 1820 kPa (264 psi) aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 28, worin das Polyurethan–Material optisch klar ist, so dass eine 0.635 cm (0.25 inch) dicke Platte eine Lichtdurchlässigkeit von wenigstens 85% aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 29, worin das Polyurethan-Material optisch klar ist, so dass eine 0.635 cm (0.25 inch) dicke Platte eine Trübung von nicht mehr als 3.5% aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 30, worin eine 0.635 cm (0.25 inch) dicke Platte ein V-50 0.22 cal FSP Rating von wenigstens 335 m/s (110 feet/second) aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 31, worin das Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) mit dem OH-haltigen Zwischenprodukt in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 3 bis 3.5 NCO/1.0 OH umgesetzt wird.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 32, worin das Diamin-Härtemittel mit dem Präpolymer in einem Äquivalenzverhältnis von 0.96 bis 1.0 NH2/1.0 NCO umgesetzt wird.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 33, worin das Gewichtsmittel der molaren Masse des OH-haltigen Zwischenprodukts zwischen etwa 600 und etwa 900 liegt.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 34, worin das OH-haltige Zwischenprodukt wenigstens ein Polyesterglykol umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss Patentanspruch 35, worin der Polyesterglykol aus der Gruppe umfassend Polyesterglykole hergestellt aus 1,6-Hexandiol und Adipinsäure, Polyesterglykole hergestellt aus 1,10-Decandiol und Adipinsäure, Polyesterglykole hergestellt aus 1,10-Decandiol und Caprolakton und Mischungen davon ausgewählt ist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 36, worin das Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) 20 bis 100% des trans,trans Isomers von 4,4'-Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 36, worin das Methylenbis(cyclohexylisacyanat) wenigstens 50% des trans, trans Isomers von 4,4'-Methylenbis(cyclohexylisocyanat) umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 38, worin das Präpolymer ferner ein aktiviertes Polybuten mit einer funktionellen Epoxidgruppe an einem Ende umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 40, worin das Präpolymer ferner einen UV-Stabilisator umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss Patentanspruch 41, worin der UV-Stabilisator aus der Gruppe ausgewählt ist, welche aus einer Verbindung mit der folgenden chemischen Formel: einer Verbindung mit der folgenden chemischen Formel: und einer Verbindung mit der folgenden chemischen Formel: ausgewählt ist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 42, worin das Präpolymer ferner ein Anti-Oxidationsmittel umfasst.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 44, worin das Polyurethan–Material eine exzellente Verwitterungsbeständigkeit im Freien aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 45, worin das Polyurethan-Material eine exzellente Beständigkeit gegenüber Lösungsmitteln aufweist.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss einem der Patentansprüche 26 bis 46, worin das Präpolymer ferner ein Triol in einer ausreichenden Menge umfasst, um 1% Vernetzung basierend auf Äquivalenten der Reaktanden zu produzieren.
- Das Polyurethan-Material gemäss Patentanspruch 47, worin das Triol aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Trimethylolethan, Trimethylolpropan und Gemischen davon ausgewählt ist.
