Description

  • Insektenabwehrmittel Die Verwendung zahlreicher organischer Verhind= n, insbesondere stark riechen-der Stoffe, z. B. von Phthalsäureestern zum Ab- wehren von Insekten ist bekannt. Die Wirkung dieser Stoffe ist recht unbefriedigend und insbesondere rasch vorübergehend. Auch ein Zusatz von Kochsalz oder trockenenfesten Verteilungsmitteln, wie Talkum, oder säurebindenden Materialien, wie Caleiumcarbonat, kann die Abwehrwirkung praktisch nicht verlängern. Ferner wird dem Magnesiumchlorid -eine gewisse insekte#abwehrende. Wirkung zugeschrieben.
  • Es wurde nun gefunden, daß die kombinierte Anwendung von Phthalsäureestern, ,denen an sich schon eine gewisse AbwehrwiT-kung gegen Insekten zukommt, mit löslichen, physiologisch unschädlichen Salzen des Caldums oder Strontiums eine Steigerung der Insektenabwehrwirkung herbeiführt. Erst durch iäiese Kombination wird eine praktisch befriedigende Wirkung tatsächlich erzielt.
  • So hat sich z. B. gezeigt, daß unter gleichen Bedingungen gegen die Mückenaxt aedes aegypti geprüft eine i o %ig#e alkoholische Lösung von Phthalsäurediäthylester schon nach i Stunde gegen die Insekten keine Abwehrwirkung mehr zeigt, während nach Zufügen von ungefähr ioo/o Calciumchlorid noch hach 3 Stunden volle Abwehrwirkung zu beobachten ist.
  • Als geeignete Phthalsäureester seien beispielsweise der Dimethyl-, Ddäthyl- oder die Isobutylester, als wasserlösliche Salze Ües Caldums oder Strontiums Strontiuinbrmi-4d, Caldunichlorid, Calciumrhodanat oder Calciumnitrat genannt.
  • Die Menge und Axt der einzelnen Bestandteile können in weiten Grenzen verändert werden. Sie können entweder gleichzeitig Moder in beliebiger Reihenfolge nacheinander Anwendung finden. Zweckmäßig erfolgt die Anwendung in geeigneter Zubereitung, , z. B. unter Zusatz von Streclanitteln, wie Löse-(>der Verdünnernittel, Emulgier-, Dispergier-oder Verdickemittel, so# daßdie Mittel in Form von Lösungen, Emulslonen, Pasten oder Pudern gebraucht werden können. Als solche Mittel kommen z. B. in Fraga: Äthylalkohol, Isopropanol, Octodecylalkohol, Glycerin (alle gegebenenfalls etwas wasserhaltig), Kieselgur, Talkum, Gips, Wachs und Stärke. Man kann ferner Riechstoffe und Kosmetika zusetzen. bie folgenden Zubereitungen haben sich z.B. als geeignete Insektenabwehrmittel erwiesen.
  • Beispiel I ioGewichtsteile Phthalsäurediäthylester, io Gewichtsteile Caldumchlorid, goGeivichtsteile 96%iger Alkohol.
  • Beispiel 2 5 Gewichtsteile Phthalsäuredimethylest-er, 5,75 Gewichtsteile Caldumchlori#,d, 45 Gewichtsteile 96%iger Alkohol. Beispiel 3 io Gewichtsteile PhthaJsäurediisobutylester, 8 Gem;ichtsteile Caldunichlorid, go Gewichtstpile 96%iger Alkohol.

  1. PATE - NTANSPRUCI-1. Insektenabwehrmittel, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es Phthalsäureester in Kombination mit physiologisch unschädlichen löslichen Salzen des Caldums oder Strontiums dnthält.
