Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Erzeugung von metallurgischem Formkoks in einem indirekt beheizten Kammerofen durch Verkokung von Briketts, insbesondere aus pechgebundenen Kohlegemischen, wobei Formlinge verwendet werden, deren Verhältnis Oberfläche zu Volumen in einem bestimmten Verhältnis zur lichten Kammerbreite steht und wobei größere Formlinge für Kammern größerer lichter Kammerbreite und umgekehrt verwendet werden, nach Patent 26 13 711.
Die Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung besteht darin, den früheren Erfindungsvorschlag dahingehend weiterzubilden, daß das Verbacken des Formkokses noch besser und einfacher vermieden und Formkoks mit besserer Qualität bei einfacherer Entleerbarkeit der Ofenkammern erreicht wird.
Es wurde gefunden, daß man diese Aufgabe dadurch lösen kann, daß die Kammerwandtemperatur ίκ (0C) vor dem Füllen der Kammer in Beziehung zur lichten Kammerbreite B(m) folgender Gleichung genügt:
tK= 1000+[1000ß-175] -[1,23 + 0,1283(^-3J](0C),
wobei vorzugsweise 0,20 mais 0,45 m und VK(%) der Wassergehalt der Rohformlinge mit 3% :£ W < 9%.
Bei praktischen Versuchen hat sich gezeigt, daß bei Einhaltung dieser Bedingung eine optimale Verkokung ohne störende Verbackungsvorgänge erfolgen kann.

Claims (1)

  1. Patentanspruch:
    Verfahren zur Erzeugung von metallurgischem Formkoks in einem indirekt beheizten Kammerofen ί durch Verkokung von briketts, insbesondere aus pechgebundenen Kohlegemischen, wobei Formlinge verwendet werden, deren Verhältnis Oberfläche zu Volumen in einem bestimmten Verhältnis zur lichten Kammerbreite steht und wobei größere Formlinge für Kammern größerer lichter Kammerbreite und umgekehrt verwendet werden (nach Patent 26 13 711, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Kammerwandtemperatur tu (0C) vor dem Füllen der Kammer in Beziehung zur lichten Kammerbreile B (m) folgender Gleichung genügt:
