Die neuen WirkslolTe wirken ähnlich wie c|uaternäre Stickstoffverbindungen und verschiedene Phosphonsäurederivate.
Gegenüber vergleichbaren Aufwandmengen der bekannten Wirkstoffe ist die Wirkung
π jedoch im allgemeinen deutlich stärker, abgesehen
davon, daß bei der Zufuhr der neuen Wirkstoffe das Wirkungsspektrum entsprechend größer ist. Als Beispiele
für die Anwendung tier neuen Wirkstoffe sind vor allem zu nennen:
ίο Verkürzung der Halm- b/w. Stengellänge und
dadurch Frhöhung der Standfestigkeit bei Gerste, Hafer, Roggen, Weizen. Mais, Sojabohnen, Baumwolle.
Förderung des Frucht- und Blattfalls. z. B. bei
v> Oliven, Baumschulgewächsen.
Förderung der Reife z. B. von Tomaten, Cilrusgewächsen
und Bananen.
Förderung des Kornertrags insbesondere bei Getreide und Leguminosen.
Wi Die neuen Wirkstoffe können vorzugsweise als
wäßrige Lösungen über das Blatt, über den Boden sowie auf dem Wege der Saatgutbehandlung angewendet
werden; sie sind unabhängig von der Applikalionsmclhodc
in allen Fällen wirksam. Auch sind
hi Mischungen mit anderen Wirkstoffen, insbesondere
Pflanzenschutzmitteln, sowie Düngemitteln und inerten Trägerstoffen möglich. Der Zusatz von Net/-mitteln
erhöhl im allgemeinen die Wirkunu.
Die erfindungsgemäßen neuen Salze können beispielsweise auf folgenden Wegen hergestellt werden:

In den Reaktionsgleichungen a bis d stehen R1, R2,
R1, K4, R5, R,, und R7 für die oben angegebenen
Bedeutungen, Hai bedeutet ein Halogenatom und Me sieht für ein Metallalom, /.. U. für ein Alkalimetall,
!■!•(.!alkalimetall oder Tür ein Ammoniumion.
Der bei den oben beschriebene·.! Umsetzungen frei wordende Halogenwasserstoff kann beispielsweise
durch Hinbluscn von Gasen, z. IJ. Stickstoff, Sauerstoff,
Kohlendioxid oder durch übliche Säurebindcmittel, z. B. Amine, insbesondere tertiäre Amine wie beispielsweise
Triüthylamin, durch Hinsalz von Metallhydroxiden (z. B. Alkalihydroxide, Erdalkalihydroxide), Metallcarbonaten,
Metallhydrogoncarbonaten, Alkoholaten, Ammonium- oder Metallsal/en der Phosphonsäuren
aus dem Reaktionsgemisch entfernt werden.
Die Umsetzung der freien Phosphonsäure mit dem substituierten Ammoniumhalogenid wird bevorzugt.
Die oben beschriebenen Umsetzungen werden vorteilhaft in Verdünnungsmitteln durchgeführt. Dafüreignen
sich beispielsweise Alkohole, z. B. Methanol, Alluinol, Propanol; Nitrile wie Acetonitril, Propionitril;
Ketone, beispielsweise Aceton, Methyläthylketon; Wasser, Benzol, Toluol, C'hlorbenzole, Xylole, chlorierte
Kohlenwasserstoffe wie Melhylenchlorid, Chloroform, Tetrachlorkohlenstoff; Dimethylsulfoxid, Dimethylformamid
und andere Solventien. Am besten geeignet sind solche Lösungsmittel, die eine direkte
rreiinung des gewünschten Phosphonsäuresal/es von eventuell anfallenden anorganischen Reaktionsprodukten
gewährleisten, z. B. Alkohole, Ketone, Nitrile.
Die Reaktionen können in einem weiten Temperaturbereich von 10 C bis zum Zersetzungspunkt
der Reaklionspartner und der Endprodukte ( f- 250 C)
durchgeführt werden.

Die wachsiumsregulierenden Wirkungen der erfindungsgemäßen
Verbindungen der Formel I lassen sieh durch Zusal/ änderet Wachslumsrcgulalorcn in ihrer
Wirkung verbreitern, durch Mischung mit Fungiziden und Düngemitteln, insbesondere Harnstoff, an gegebene
Umstände anpassen. Die Mischungen der erlindungsgemiißen
Salze mit Wachsliimsregulaloren. Fungiziden und Düngemittel können in jedem beliebigen
Verhältnis zueinander vorgenommen werden, wobei die gegebenen Umstände am Hinsatzort (Pilzerkrankungen.
Mangelet -scheinungen usw.) für die Art der Mischung ausschlaggehend sind.

Wirkung auf Baumwolle
Baumwollpllanzen wurden im Gewächshaus herangezogen und bei einer Wuclishöhe von IO bis 12 cm
mit den Wirkstoffzubereiliingen gespritzt. Die Aufwandmenge
betrug 6 mg,GeIaH entsprechend 6 kg ha. Tage nach der Behandlung wurde der Zuwachs
gemessen und die Wuchshöhe sowohl absolut als auch relativ im Vergleich /u den Konlrollpllan/en
ermittelt.

Je 40 Kressesamen werden auf Filterpapier ausgelegt und in ein Glas mit 20 ml Wirksloffzubereitung gestellt.
Nach 4 Tagen wurde die Lange der Pflanzen gemessen und in % des Zuwachses der unbehandellen Kontrolle

276 Gewichtsteile Salz des Ν,Ν-Dimethylpipcridiniums mit 2-Chloräthylphosphonsäurc in Mischung mit
145 Gcwichtsteilen N.N-Dimethylpipcridiniumchlorid
enthielt und in Form ihrer wäßrigen Lösung mit r. . , ,

verschiedenen Aufwandmengen verwendet wurde. wirkstofTmischung
Testpflanzen waren Sommergerste (Sorte »Union«) in mp je GeHiU
und Sommerweizen (Sorte »Kolibri«), die in Kunst-
»toffgefäßen mit ca. 11,5 cm Durchmesser auf Torfkultursubstral
herangezogen wurden. Behandlungs- w unbchandclt arten waren Vorauflauf-(Bodenbehandlung)und Nachauflaufbehandlung
(Blattbchandlung), wobei die Wirk- 0,5 stoffmischung in wäßriger Lösung zur Bodenbehandlung
auf die Substratoberfläche nach der Einsaat ' gegossen und zur Blattbehandlung bei 11 cm Wuchs- 43 30
höhe auf die Pflanzen gespritzt wurde. '
Nachdem die Pflanzen insgesamt 15 Tage gewachsen 6,0
waren, wurde ihre Wuchshöhe gemessen.

Salze von Phosphonsäuren der Formel IO C)R2R1 POR1in der R1 Chloräthyl oder Vinyl, R2 Chlorälhyl oder Wasserstoff, R1 Wasserstoff und mindestens einer der Reste R2 und R1 einen Rest der Formel IlR4 -N.—R"Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft neue Salze von Phosphonsäuren, deren kationische Komponenten Ammoniumreste sind, diese Salze enthaltende Mittel zur Beeinflussung des Pflanzenwachstums, sowie Verfahren zur Herstellung dieser Verbindungen.F.s ist bekannt, daß Phosphonsäuren (niederländische Patentschrift 16 6K 075, deutsche ()ffenlegungsschrift \l) 16 147) und dall Ammoniumsal/c (US-Patenlschrift .12 30 061J. niederländische Palentanmeldiing65 16589,französische Patentschrift 1461 144) einen Finlluß auf das Pflanzenwachstum /eigen.Fs wurde gefunden, daü Salze von Phosphonsäuren der Formel
