Phosphonsäureester
Die Erfindung betrifft Ester der Methoxy-jtiethanphosphonsäure
der allgemeinen Formel
- O - CH2 - P . (I)

in der R1 und R2 C^.^Alkylreste, die in 2-Stellung mit
mindestens einem Brom- oder Chloratom substituiert sind,
und gleich oder verschieden sind.■
Die erfindungsgemäßen Produkte können nach an sich bekannten Reaktionsverfahren hergestellt werden. Man kann beispielsweise

Alkaliphosphit nach der Michaelis-Becker-Reaktion kondensieren. Von größerem Interesse ist die Anwendung der Michaelis-Arbuzov-Reaktion,
wobei der Chlormethyl-Methyläther mit einem Trialkylphosphit nach der folgenden Gleichung

in der R3 ein in C--Stellung durch ein Brom- oder Chloratom
substituierter C3-4-ReSt ist, der gleich oder verschieden
von R und R2 sein kann. Die zur Herstellung
der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen eingesetzten Trialkylphosphite
werden durch Addition von 1,2-Alkylenoxiden
mit einem Phosphortrihalogenid, z.B. Phosphortrichlorid, Phosphortribromid oder ein gemischtes Phosphortrihalogenid
erhalten. Wenn man ein einziges Alkylenoxid mit dem Phosphorderivat umsetzt, erhält man Phosphite mit
dem gleichen Alkylrest. Wenn man dagegen eine Mischung von verschiedenen Alkylenoxiden einsetzt, erhält man
gemischte Produkte, wobei R., R9 und Ro verschieden sind
und in allen denkbaren Kombinationen vorliegen können und in diesem Falle ist eine schrittweise Zugabe der verschiedenen
eingesetzten Alkylenoxide vorzuziehen, um besser definierte Produkte zu erhalten. Die erfindungsgemäßen
Ester der Methoxymethanphosphonsäure können als Mittel zum Flammfestmachen verwendet werden, sie können
gleichfalls als Pflanzenschutzmittel oder als Zwischenprodukte verwendet werden.
Die folgenden Beispiele zeigen die erfindungsgemäßen Produkte,
ohne daß diese hierauf zu begrenzen wären:
Bis-(chlor —2-äthyl)-methoxymethanphosphonat

In einen Kolben gibt man 269,5 g (1 Mol) Tris(chlor-2-äthyl)-phosphit,
das durch Reaktion von 132 g (3 Mol) Äthylenoxid mit 137, 5 g (1 Mol) Phosphortrichlorid hergestellt
wurde. Man erwärmt auf 95 bis loo°C und gibt während 3o min 85 g (I,o5 Mol) Chlorine thy 1-me thy lather
hinzu. Man erwärmt noch etwa 5 h lang. Dann destilliert man das gebildete 1,2-Dichloräthan ab und erhält 25o g
hohes Bis-(chlor-2-äthyl)-methoxymethanphosphonat.
Dieses Roh-produkt, das noch etwa Io % eines Phosphit-Umlagerungsprodukts,
des(Dichlor-2-äthyl)-(chlor-2-äthyl)-phosphonat
enthält, kann als solches für verschiedene Anwendungen eingesetzt werden. Man kann es auch unter
vermindertem Druck (13o C,o,2 Torr) destillieren und erhält mit 85 %iger Ausbeute, bezogen auf das eingesetzte
Phosphit, ein Produkt, dessen Elementaranalyse:
C 28, 6 % (Theorie 28,7 %)
H 5,1 % ( " 5,2 %)
0 25,3 % ( " 25,5 %)
P 12,2 % ( " 12,35 %)
Cl 28,8 % ( " 28,3 %)
und dessen NMR-Spektrum zeigt, daß es reines Bis-(chlor
2-äthyl) -methoxymethanphosphonat ist. Brechungsindex η Q5= 1,4678; Dichte d^ = 1,3484.

In einen Kolben gibt man 311,5 g (1 Mol) Tris-(chlor-2-isopropyl)-phosphit,
das durch Reaktion von 174 g (3 Mol) Propylenoxid mit 137,5 g (1 Mol) Phosphortrichlorid
erhalten wurde. Man erhitzt auf dbwa loo C und gibt während 3o bis 6o min 85 g (I,o5 Mol) Chlormethylmethylather
hinzu. Danach hält man. während 6 h die Temperatur auf loo C und destilliert dann Ho g des gebildeten
1,2-Dichlorpropans ab.
Man erhält 275 g rohes Bis-(chlor-2-isopropyl )-methoxymethanphosphonat,
das etwa Io % des Phosphit-Umlagerungs-Produktes (Dichlor-2-propy])-fc:hlor-2-propyli phosphonat enthält.
Durch Destillieren bei vermindertem Druck (12o°C/ 1,2 Torr) erhält man mit Ausbeute von etwa 9o %, bezogen
auf eingesetztes Phosphit, ein Produkt, dessen Elementaranalyse:

Bis- (dichlor-2,2'-isopropyl)-methoxymethanphosphonat

In einen Kolben gibt man 415 g (1 Mol) Tris-(dichlor-2,2'-isopropyl)-phosphit,
das durch Reaktion von 277,5 g (3 Mol) Epichlorhydrin mit 137,5 g (1 Mol) Phosphortrichlorid
erhalten wurde. Man erhitzt auf loo°C und gibt während 1 h 85 g Chlormethyl-methyläther hinzu. Danach
hält man die Temperatur 7 h lang aufrecht und destilliert dann unter vermindertem Druck 145 g 1,2,3-Trichlorpropan
ab. Man erhält 344 g rohes Bis-(dichlor-1,3-isopropyl)-methoxymethanphosphonat,
das ungefähr 15 % des Phosphit-Umlagerungsproduktes Bis-(dichlor-2,2'-isopropyl)-dichlor-2,2'-bis-propylphosphonat
enthält. Durch Destillieren unter vermindertem Druck (l5o°C/o,5 Torr) erhält man,mit
einer Ausbeute von etwa 8o %, bezogen auf eingesetztes
Phosphit, ein Produkt, dessen Elementaranalyse:
C 27,5 % (Theorie 27,6 %)
H 4,25 % ( " 4,3 %)

und dessen NMR-Spektrum zeigen, daß es reines Bis-(dichlor-2,2'-isopropyl)-methoxymethanphosphonat
ist. Brechungsindex η _ = l,49lo; Dichte d 9° = 1,4321.

In einen Kolben gibt man 137,5 g (1 Mol) Phosphortrichlorid und läßt unter Kühlen 9o g (1,55 Mol) Propylenoxid
und 66 g (1,5 Mol) Äthylenoxid hinzutropfen. Man erhält
darauf ein mit Chlor-2-äthyl und mit Chlor-2-isopropyl substituiertes Phosphit der Formel
(0 - CH9 - CH9Cl)
Zu diesem Produkt gibt man nach und nach 85 g (I,o5 Mol)
Chlormethyl-methyläther über 1 h hin unter Rühren bei 85-95°C unter Stickstoff.

Man hält die Temperatur weitere 6 h lang bei 95 C und
wonach praktisch kein reaktionsfähiges Phosphit mehr in
der Lösung vorliegt.
Nach Ende der Reaktion destilliert man und erhält 73 g (of74 Mol) 1,2-Dichloräthan und 3o g (o,26 Mol) 1,2-Dichlorpropan,
die sich während der Reaktion gebildet haben.
Man isoliert dann das rohe (Chlor-2-äthyl)-(chlor-2-isopropyl)-methoxyäthanphosphonat,
das nur geringe Mengen von Umlagerungsprodukten (Mischung von Chlor-2-äthyl-
und Chlor-2-isopropyl-substituiertem Chlor-2-äthylphosphonat
und Chlor-2-isopropylphosphonat) enthält.
Durch Destillation unter vermindertem Druck (13o C/o,2 Torr) erhält man mit Ausbeute von 93 %, bezogen auf eingesetztes
Phosphit, ein Produkt, dessen Elementaranalyse:
C 3 4,4 % H 6,3 % 0 18,9 % P 12,1 % C128,3%
und dessen NMR-Spektrum zeigen, daß es ein gemischt substituiertes
Methoxymethanphosphonat der Formel
